Ozzy was allowed to have his name above the band, but it is 100% a band album not a solo album, interview Steve Machat the Jet Records lawyer. There are books on this, want people to stop parroting the nonsense of the Osbourne's revisionist history. Ozzy was the least important part of this album in terms of writing and lyrics.
In the video I quote Daisley stating he and Randy wrote 98% of the music and lyrics. Ozzy was not known as a lyricist. All that being true Randy and Daisley were not singers/ frontmen and they all needed each other to be successful.
@desertrockunited have you heard Lee kerslake sing the demos for flying high again.....case to be made they didn't need Ozzy. Ozzy hardly was around for the diary sessions.
I have not heard the demo with Kerslake, but as a drummer he likely would not have been the frontman Ozzy was/is. Ozzy is one of top Metal frontmen of all time. Did he need help? 100%. Did bandmates get screwed? Yes. None of that takes away from his status. To say Ozzy may not have been needed is like saying Van Halen didn't need DLR. Michael Anthony is a good singer, but he ain't DLR.

Ozzy is one of the greatest frontmen in metal history because people like a buffoon who does monkey claps, cusses and asks if people are high and going crazy. I am doing my best to take away from his status so people know what a bag he is and how little he actually did. The point about ozzy not being needed, is three of them could have formed a very good band, it probably would not have been as successful as Ozzy had the brand recognition being former frontman for Sabbath. But they did not need Ozzy to write any of the music or do songs. I believe Sharon wanted Lee out of the picture because she realized Ozzy was passed out doing little for DOAM, Lee could do vocal melodies, the band might decide to go away from ozzy. Think about how much more lee did with melodies once he was in the band, Ozzy only read lyrics for You said it all the band did everything else for an awesome song
Those albums were wrote by Randy and Bob. Lee had very little input in the writing process. The music was mostly all written by the time Lee was hired. All that ozzy contributed was a couple vocal melodies. If it wasn't for Randy Rhoads and Bob Daisley writing 2 of the most influential Albums in rock history Ozzy Osbourne would not be where his is today.

One thing that's quite appearant about these Rock stars is they have no consideration for their fans whatsoever. They're not all like that I'm sure but I'd say most are.
