What projects are in your 'new parent' gift repetoire? 🤔 I _love_ rocking horses and picnic tables, but this clock is definitely high on my list now. 🙂

Yep, definitely reminds me of good ol' Cogsworth. I imagine that's who wood magazine based it on originally, but that they probably called it a Jiggity Diggity Clock to save a lawsuit or two 😆

To be fair, she won't have any idea what it is for the first few years, but fingers crossed it sticks around once she's older. Can hope at least. 🙂

Hah, I don't know about that, but did you notice the cabinet about halfway through with 'WOODDUST' written on it? DiResta himself made those letters on the bandsaw at a woodworking event here in Melbourne, so I'm pretty chuffed about that! 😉

Love it Mario, it looks amazing. Making gifts and even commissioned work can be quite nerve wracking especially if, like me, one is crippled by self doubt. With that said though, I always have a crack. I was asked to make a cot for my first Grand child who is now four, but the cot is soon to have a new occupant when the second Grand child is born in July. Anyway, you did a fantastic job on the clock. Keep up the good work. All the best.

Very nice project, I might have added a touch of color but it's nice with the natural finish as well. I've made some angled standing shelving for storage of those diapers books and things. Now the little girls keep their small toys on it. What is a panel layout software used for, won't click on a link unless I understand what it is?
Oh nice, I like those little angled shelves, the type you can just lean a book against? Very nice. 👍 The panel software is something I made many years ago but which still comes in handy on some jobs. You enter your cut list and your materials, the software will immediately give you efficient layouts to best cut and use your stock.

Many thanks! 🙂 I bought my copy of the plans years ago, but you can still find them online. Search for "Dancing Clock PDF" in google and you'll find a copy fairly quickly. The actual clockface is no longer available to buy, as far as I can tell at least, hence I used the laser to burn the face instead.👍
