I don't think this will be useful for the majority, but autoimmune and low carb. There are so many, but specifically Rheumatoid Arthritis. Thank you
I dropped the last 30 lbs started with over 80 lbs, but now I have put back 10 and am struggling to get it off!
Work out routine
What to eat while recovering from any kind of surgery
I'm 71 years old and and tried Keto 5 years ago and got sick. I was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago. So, I've been doing a low carb lifestyle for 3 years. I'm 5 feet tall and weighed 212 lbs. I am now 165 and have been over 2 years and I am not on medication for diabetes. I control it with diet. So I had to make this lifestyle change. I'd still like to lose 10 more pounds but I am not concerned with any number. As long as I maintain this weight and keep my glucose numbers in check, I'm happy. Thanks for this video.
Superb job! I'm happy for your success. God bless you & yours!
That’s amazing results!
Good for you! Great progress!
Congratulations 🎊
I could listen to you all day. You're calm, you're relatable, you make sense, you don't preach......thanks for another great video!

I'm better off not starting the ice cream or the candy or chips. I have no control when I eat those things. I've lost 25 lbs on low carb, and it's taken me 5 months. It's discouraging that it takes so long, but it's taken me 47 yrs to put it on, so I shouldn't expect it to come off overnight!
So many Drs are under educated when it comes to weight loss. Many of them are suggesting 1,000 to 1,200 calories a day--they have no idea!! Even nutritionists don't really give good advice.
Hardest part for me is the “preparation” without it I fail but have such a hard time making myself do it
I gained like 130 lbs during COVID. I was already at 275lbs so that put me at about 400 lbs. At least that is what I weighed the first time I weighed myself in years. I just kept eating unhealthy. Ordering Door Dash all the time and eating too much ice cream. It was horrible! So I started taking Victoza to assist with eating all the time, because it causes you to not have an appetite. I lost 15 lbs then it stopped working. 😮 So I started eating healthier... More veggies and protein + fiber, and that helped a little but the scale wasn't really moving. I than started seeing videos of fasting on my UA-cam feed and started watching them and began fasting 16-8 every other day. It's helping. So far I've lost 20 lbs in total. It's not much but it's a start, and I feel so much better with more energy.
I stopped weighing myself every week and just weigh myself whenever I feel like it. Once a month or so. I've been trying to eat at least 100 plus grams of protein a day. It's a challenge, but I do it most days. Weight loss takes time so I know this is going to be a long journey, but I have to stick with it. Yes, of course, sometimes I eat things I shouldn't, but not like I use to. I use to binge, but not really anymore, or at least I try not to. I love your channel and all the good advice and recipes you share with us. Keep up the good work ❤
I am a keto lifestyle person and it has been sustainable for me for the last 2 years. I always had a goal of around 150lbs and I have been maintaining a weight of ~145lbs. I weighed about 165 in high school. I am 5’10” and feel great at this weight 😊
I'm proud of the fact that during my last three months of losing, I went on two vacations, one for an entire month and still loss weight. A 73 years and female that's accomplishment for me. Myras dessert recipes are helpful for not feeling deprived. I loved sweets all of my life.
I needed this. I’ve been doing Weight Watchers since February 2022 & I’ve lost 130 pounds with more to go. I lost 96 pounds the first year and since this February I’ve lost 34 pounds. Over the past 2 months my weight has been bouncing all over the place between 3 pounds. My doctor doesn’t seemed concerned. I have that diet mentality. I’m reaching a point were I’m afraid to eat anything good because I’m terrified of gaining since I’ve worked so hard to lose 130 pounds. I weigh every day. Even though everyone says I’m looking good and I’m dropping clothes sizes, that stupid scale rules. If the scale is not dropping I feel like a failure.
Go to fasting. I lost a lot more weight fasting than I did with WW, plus I could eat what I wanted. I usually fast a minimum of 18 hours.
Wow!!! This is seriously an accomplishment!!! As long as your clothes are fitting better, you might have to forget about the scale for now. I can’t lose 5lbs! I used to be able to lose with ww, but I can’t lose to save my life. But! I feel amazing! Keep up the great work!!!
The latest study’s on fasting is, you lose a lot of muscle, a lot of the top influencers are abandoning fasting for this reason....
My doctor highly recommends fasting. I have been able to drop medication for high blood pressure and my blood work was excellent for someone my age. You do have to eat right when fasting or you can lose muscle mass.
If you are losing muscle mass from fasting, that means you are NOT eating enough protein. Protein is very important when fasting.
I totally agree. Scale hopping is dangerous. If you follow your program, the weight will come off. I do not weigh. It only gets done when I have a doctors appointment.
Gracias, Mayra! I’ve lost 90lbs since last November 15. I’m in this for the long haul and never want to go back to my old, super unhealthy lifestyle. It’s just not worth it. IF, lower carb lifestyle and moving more has been a total game changer for me. I peaked at 333lbs. Never thought I would weigh that much. I’m so much happier now 🙏🏽 Glory to God first and then to people like you who have helped inspire me and provided awesome guidance like this 💖
I needed this! We are definitely twins... I was (healthy) keto for 4 years. Went from size 14 to size 2. I was a bit obsessive. We do a lot of cycling trips, where I would binge, and the holidays as well. Then I would follow it with a 24-26 hour fast then keto again. Found it was a good way to control my weight. But, it was obsessive. Here I am again, end of summer and 15 lbs up. I want balance! I’ve been reading a lot about high protein, I am now eating high protein, low carb and moderate healthy fats, tweaking as I go.
You can tell you're talking about personal experience. Everything you said from the 1000 calorie diet, the restriction, the binge after...its crazy how you're spot on! I can relate to all of those.
This video is so important. I’m 72 now and my life was full of yo-yo dieting until last year when I had a TIA and wound up in the hospital. I was almost 200 pounds and 5’3”. I was prediabetic and my cholesterol was through the roof. That scared me so I started my journey to get healthy. So now I am no longer prediabetic, lost almost 40 pounds, and my cholesterol is now within normal range. I am now hovering at about 160 which I kept thinking I should be 140 because of those dang charts. Your video helped me to realize that if I just continue to eat healthy low carb I should be good. Thank you!!!! I am now going to concentrate on the healthy, low carb/keto lifestyle that I have adopted and use your other pointers to help maintain.
Congratulations & thanks for sharing your success story. I appreciate hearing good news...
especially about glucose control. I wish you MANY healthy years ahead.
I'm diabetic and I've cut out almost all white flour and sugar (as much as possible anyway). Also drink 2 cups of coffee in the am with regular half and half. Also I drink water and a whole lemon each time I fill my 24 oz bottle. I don't buy bread anymore. I lost 30 lbs since June. And because I have diabetes, I am more mindful about what I eat/drink because my goal is to get off my pills. I will always be diabetic so I know I can't go back to regularly eating the things I shouldn't and in the large amounts I used to. Yes it is a lifestyle not a diet. I do have cheat days but I learned to discipline myself and not over do it. I consider it my "treat" or reward for doing good each day. I'm still learning though and always trying to do better.
I switched to no sugar almond milk cause i cant have coffee without milk i also started to fast so the almond milk wont kick off of my fasting
Loved this. I have lived my life trying for a smaller body. I have been at good weight a couple of times iny 67 years, but always gained it back. I'm 5"11 and wanted to weigh in 130 lbs like my favorite models. Talk about unrealistic. My weight was at 190 and I thought I was so far. Now when I see old pictures I see I wasn't as heavy as I thought. Now, I'm at 289 lbs and can't lose crap. Your advise is so valuable and I can do relate. I'm so glad I found your channel.
4:26 I want to hear your thoughts and advice on binging. I don’t feel that restriction leads to my binge, it seems to be more when I allow myself certain trigger foods like Doritos or Pastries or Chili Cheese Fries - certain things that just make me wanna triple my portions and finish with a decadent dessert.
UPDATE 11:55 yesssss thissssss
5:00 I over restricted and it controlled my life. I started binging over and over and food was on my mind all the time.
I had weight loss surgery but sometimes I still binge, it just looks different. Little binges because my stomach is smaller now. I still have to be very careful not to regain my weight.
Thanks for sharing your experience it's helpful to people who've had weight loss surgery too
Got in the scale this morning gained a pound and a half and didn’t cheat and walked more than ever over the weekend. It’s so frustrating but like you said I need to weigh my self less I think.
I'm not tall, but I have large frame. They used to have weight ranges according to your frame, but they don't do that now. I did get down to the weight the "experts" recommend currently, but I looked so unhealthy, bones sticking out all over, and friends were asking if I felt alright and that I didn't look good. I gained a few pounds and look and feel so much better. I'm where I want to be now and have maintained my weight for a year so far. I started out on keto but have been more successful with low carb.
Hello Beautiful Lady~ I have been enjoying your videos for several months now. I started a keto-lifestyle in March of this year because my a1c was higher than I wanted while eating "carefully". I discussed trying a keto diet with my PCP and she agreed this might work for me. It did! Searching for recipes & information about the keto-lifestyle brought me to your channel. It really wasn't easy changing my diet in the beginning. I had to replace so many pantry items & give away food stored in my freezer. Learning to order low carb when dining in restaurants was intimidating. I'm happy to say that I have succeeded in lowering my a1c & reduced my required meds.
I'm constantly converting recipes to keto-friendly versions. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get them perfected, but I don't give up. I'm glad there are more prepared keto-friendly food items & baking mixes to reduce the burden of converting recipes to clean low carb versions, but they can be pricey. Your recipes are so helpful!
For me, aside from lowering my a1c & decreasing required meds, I finally managed to bake a KETO RUSTIC SOURDOUGH BOULÉ that tastes & looks like a bakery purchased carb-loaded Rustic Boulé. Even a carb-loaded boulé isn't easy! A GOOD CRUSTY LOW CARB bread was a necessity for me.
Your many recipes have helped with this lifestyle change. I appreciate your sharing your experiences & lessons learned. You have been & continue to be an excellent educator. Thanks for all you do!
I actually had gastric bypass surgery in 2009. I lost 100 bs. I kept it off for over 10 years. I have gained back 25 lbs. I am now being monitored more frequently by a physician assistant where I had the surgery per my request. I have been advised to eat a low carb diet and drink 64 ounces of water per day. My main reason for wanting more help is I am still pre-diabetic and I want to be healthy & I want to look good!
My Physician Assistant want me to eventually get down to 1,000 calories a day but I don’t want to be deprived so much that I start binging. I hope to lose the 25 lbs I lost.
Please no negative comments about weight loss surgery. My reason for having it was I had severe sleep apnea & high blood pressure. Weight loss surgery has helped me and I still can’t eat large meals. If you can lose the weight without having weight loss surgery and keep it off, more power to you!
Thank you for sharing! I can totally relate to this. With binge eating, I would tell myself, "I'm never eating 'such and such', ice cream, cookies, pizza...and then, I would go crazy and over eat those foods.
Thank you for that it really does keep us motivated! One thing I’ve learned is I don’t like to use the word “lose” I believe that anything that you lose you 10 to find later on, so I like to use the word get rid of or drop. Thanks again.😊
Love that!
I love your videos! I starved myself on WW for years I was ALWAYS hungry. I lost the weight over a couple of years but now i am on low carbs as a lifestyle for my blood pressure and mental sanity! I know I can sustain this way of food. Thank you for your recipes! Sue from Canada
You are so relatable. So down to earth. So generous with your knowledge. I appreciate you sharing 🎉
Thank you so much!!!! It means a lot ❤
I lost over a hundred pounds on a low carb diet about 15 or so years ago. I felt great, had a ton of energy, and life was fantastic. Fast forward 15 or so years and I have gained all the weight back. I feel like crap, I have no energy, and I feel like I have brain fog constantly. I am jumping back into the low carb life style and looking forward to it. Thank you for all you share with people. It is truly inspiring!
Thank you, Myra. At 62, I’ve yo-yo’d more times than I can count. Each time I’ve lost, I’ve lost my weight differently (this is normal). This time around, 40 lb down so far…my clothes fit better, I feel better, but I don’t look like I did when I’ve lost weight before. It’s okay though! Previously if no visible change was noted (by myself, or also because no one said anything about how much I’ve lost), I’d have given up. This time around, I’m not depriving myself. I’m not starving myself. I’m enjoying the journey. I donate platelets at the Red Cross…they have snacks and drinks afterwards. I bring my own protein-filled snacks. The one time I didn’t, I took the lowest carb item they had…a bag of chips. I didn’t worry over it. My mentality has changed. And my options for food have changed as never before have there been more keto-friendly recipes, ingredients, and channels like yours on UA-cam. Anyone reading this…stay strong! Remember: we eat to live, not live to eat.
My wieghtloss journey has been a nightmare...im 62 ,ive been yoyoing for 47 years, my highest weight was 305 lbs about 25 years ago, ive managed managed to get down to my current 250, i was at 212 about 2 years ago, but life went a bit haywire and i got back up to 265 just this past winter...im seeing a bariatric doctor, but definitely do not want to go through gadtric by pass at my age, so I'm trying very hard to do this on my own, ...incidentally i need a hernia surgery and the surgeon won't do until until I'm down to 195...this had been a big battle, the bariatric dr. Pushed the high protein and 2000 calorie a day diet , it did nothing ....because of the hernia my physical activities are kind of limited, but i do takes walks...i finally dropped myself down to 1200 calories and started incorporating more good carbs into my diet, and thats how ive managed to get the 15 lbs off this spring, but i have a surgeon whose pushing for things to come off faster and a bariatric dr, who wants me at 1500 calories a day, and im really beginning to think that i do so poorly at this weight loss thing is because my metabolism has slowed down due partly to my age, and possibly the stress from it all...i wish i could turn back the clock and do it all over from the age of 15...but let me say this to all of your readers, please NEVER go under a 1000 calories a day...NEVER...i did this for 4 months in my teens, and i lost 40 lb, along with my hair, my nails go week and i became vitamin deficient...i learned a very valuable lesson there , but i was 15 in the 70's and weight loss and fitness then isnt what it is today...thank you for letting me vent! I always enjoy your input on your journey...continued success to you❤
At almost 6 yrs I’m having my 1st gain in part from a med change & also stress of housing & health probs. I was down 90# but am up 20 in : mos. I’m sorry this happened to you, but I’m very grateful for these vids. The recap at the end is great bec we see the material 2x & that helps it sink in. Ty.
Thank you so much for your honesty and your wonderful tips and tricks. I am 55 years old and I have lost 75 pounds a few times in my life and gained it all back. I am moving forward and trying to lose 50 pounds. So far I’ve lost 5 pounds in the last two months. Taking me a bit longer. but I am doing it the right way. Using a lot of your suggestions! But would love to know how your journey is going as you’ve mentioned recently.
I totally agree, however, won’t you naturally gain weight when switching from keto to low carbs? I don’t know how to keep the weight down on just “low carb” vs keto.😬
I so agree about making weight loss a lifestyle, not a diet! I’ve been doing low carb for three years and I’m maintaining my 44 lb weight loss and I don’t feel deprived at all. I feel better than ever and my health is great. I’m almost 76 years old but I feel like a 30 year old!!!
Thank u for all your recipes and inspiration.
Im so happy for you! Making it a lifestyle and not a “diet” is a really big thing! You got this my 30 year old ❤ lol
Can you give advice pls❤ do you count calories?
Congratulations!!! I would love to know if you count calories and carbs!!
I just found your channel, I have 35 lbs to lose. What videos do you suggest I start with, I see you have a lot. I love sweets when I start eating them I can’t stop. Please help😊
I’ve always had a problem with binge-eating. It’s my mentality of needing to eat greens 24/7 to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight. It works with dropping excess weight for me, but it’s not a healthy lifestyle to be in, leading me to binge significantly on the weekends. I’m slowly being more lenient with myself to eat more whole foods and running during the week days to keep my unhealthy habits of binge eating weight off. But it is something definitely like you said to do a video about. I would definitely find it helpful. Thank you for all your support and advice💛💛
I’m tired of tracking calories I just want to learn how to eat in moderation enjoy the food. I love more so balanced and also focus on more movement I’ve been letting my arthritis stop me from doing certain things because of the pain and fear.
I have arthritis too. It prevents me from really being able to workout even at home. So I started fasting and eating more protein and veggies. It's helping. There are so many fasting videos on UA-cam if you're interested check them out. Just type in fasting or intermittent fasting and videos will appear. 😊
@@dora9368 thank you so much I would most definitely look into it
Agree 💯 . All those points are spot on. Set yourself up for sucess, not failure. 🎉
Exactly!
Because of you, I learned to enjoy eating on a low carb diet. I use your recipes on your website, I cook using proper ingredients, the snacks and desserts, I have lost weight, thank you for all you do! Ps, I used to binge eat a lot, it’s rare now, but I do that. Please talk about it.
Yes a binge eating talk would be great. Please do😊
I recently found your vids! I've been doing 3 day water fasts and eating healthy since Jan. I lost 15 lbs in Jan. Feb I didn't go up or down. Valentine's and hubby's bday so write off. March I decided to do water fasts again. Like you said just tired and desperate to get it off and keep it off for good. I'm now on day 5 of water fast. I feel fine. I cook supper for hubby and make his lunches. Plus I'm baking some of your yummy no cal low cal desserts for him and he's love'n it. I'm terrified of carbs now. I'm using your videos to help me and hubby eat better. Fingers crossed I can keep it off. Hey. How tall are you!? You said you were close to 200. I'm at 205 now down from 231. I want to be 160. That's the high end of what doctors say I should be for 5 foot 9 inch.
I experienced that same scale obsession that now I try to avoid it and it gives me anxiety. My weight journey have been a roller coaster of anxiety, over restricting and poor health mentality. I have the exercise part down , eating high protein foods but it is the mental health part and stress eating is hurting me. The good news is I’ve been on this journey for 4 years, my overall goal weight loss was 90 lbs. I lost 60, gain back 30 and struggling to lost lose that 30 + the other 30. It sucks but I enjoy your advice.
I needed this. Been in a plateu for a year exactly at 180. I am still breastfeeding my soon to be 2 year old, this video helped me focus on health over weight
*I'll definitely be more mindful of these pitfalls and make the necessary adjustments. Your insights are invaluable!*
I can relate to all you talk ed about in your video. I make my own low carb desserts, for that sweet tooth craving. I drink 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar mixed with 1 tablespoon organic lemon juice twice a day with sparkling water and that really works on curbing my appetite. I do about 18-19 hour fast daily without even thinking about it. I love your videos, you’re a beautiful young lady. Thank you for all that you do. God bless💕
I tell myself that I am doing keto but I think it’s low carb😂. I don’t understand macros, so I just stopped eating bread, rice etc..
Thank you so much for this. So informative and helpful. I don’t obsess over the scale, but I do obsess over calories and macros and it makes me constantly feel like I am on a diet. I think I need to relax, eat healthy food, eat when I’m hungry and don’t eat when I am not. I have a feeling things will start to fall into place with a more relaxed approach.
That's great information, I lost 218 pounds in 14 months just doing keto. And I'm having a little trouble maintaining it. It's a tough journey and I've been heavy my entire life. I gained 60 pounds and I'm working on taking it back off. I really like your videos.
How refreshing to see a beautiful young lady not so hung up on Looks, very modest & very genuine about being healthy!
I love her and she cracked me up when she said that if she weighed 150, how ridiculous that would be!! She would literally be a pile of bones.
Thanks so much for your advice! I lost 97 lbs. 50 lbs. w/ the help of a nutritionist (the healthy way)! The last 47 lbs. I was sick & couldn’t eat anything but soup for six months! There’s a good & bad way of losing weight! (Unhealthy) Thanks for your tips & recipes especially the desserts!🥰👍🏻
Definitely struggle with binge eating since i was a kid
Awesome content chica!
Also, the stuff she said about weighing herself all the time is where I’m at right now.😭😭😭 ughhh, weight loss is so hard!
I loved this video!!!!❤❤❤❤ Would love to hear more about binge eating and restoring your metabolism! I wish I would have known about this when I lost 145lbs on a restrictive diet!
Tight restrictions absolutely lead to failure! A low carb lifestyle is completely sustainable. Couple that with a good daily water intake (whatever that looks like for you😊), and body movement and you’ll maintain a healthy weight, and all our healthy weights are different and NOT what doctor charts say😉
Loved this video! Thanks
Almost 6’?! Wow had no idea all this time since seeing your first vid and ROCK that 200lb Wonder Woman, you look and are incredible!
Really substantial advice
This was Very helpful! Thank you for all you do! 😘
I relate so much! You are so encouraging thank you so much! 💜
Excellent advice!
Always a nice vibe and happy.

Thank you and God bless you!❤️🙏
Thank you Myra you have good advice😊
Totally agree Myra…
I messed up my metabolism
I stopped counting calories, I am so over it!!!!!
Thank you for creating these little "chats". Hearing your perspective & experience is super helpful. It truly is the support a lot of us need who are committed to this lifestyle while trying to figure it all out. It's a lifelong journey and these little reminders are key to our long-term success!
I love and need this thank you so much
This was so on the spot! Thank you so, so much for your videos and your great work! ❤
Much needed😢😢😢😢❤
Thanks so much for this video. You hit the nail on the head. All of your comments make so much sense and break it down in a way that we can all understand. Keep up the excellent videos. We appreciate it.
One of your best videos. It truly is a lifestyle change
Glad you think so!❤️❤️
This was a wonderful session! Thank you, I needed to hear this😊
Loved this video, very helpful tips, and very encouraged to start ny healthy journey.
Great recap!!! I so enjoy your videos and congrats on your weight loss and maintaining it. I have learned a lot from what your videos!! It really does not matter what health journey you are on, these points you make are so true to all of us. I too believe it is a mindset.
Thank you for making these types of videos! They are very helpful and informative. I really enjoy them!!❤💯
Excellent
THANK U!!! THIS really helped me. My prob is not being prepared and not wanting to waste food..
Thanks for the info. Been struggling with the weight loss journey for many years. Trying to lean more towards carnivore, my little Keto, but I haven't been able to break the inflammation and water retention, to get to the weight loss, 100 lb plus to lose.. trying to keep the faith...🙏🏽 💜😊
I’ve been following you for quite awhile.. this post was one of your best imo.. I get it. I too have lost 100+. So many things you said hit home! Love your spirit.
Mayra thank you❤you are so supportive. I was thinking about eating disorders during your video and the way you discuss being healthy and loving yourself, I really believe that you can help a lot of people who struggle with like anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating distresses. You really focus on loving ourselves and that is so precious❤
Myra, I think that was excellent!
WHAT A GREAT VIDEO!!!!! Thank you so muchI just realized thanks to you what mistakes I am making right now....Please these videos are great I love the recipes and make many of them but this is what a lot of us need because we all dont have a good support backing us up Thank you
I restricted today and binged 😢 this evening. I'm now sick to my stomach. 😢
Thanks. Everything you’ve said is so true. I did all the mistakes.
Just started wstching yout videos. Love your recipes. Congratulations on your.weight loss. You look fantastic!
love the info… i resonate with everything you say…❤
I appreciate that! ❤️
Please address binge eating. I have had this disorder for long time and what prevents me from losing weight
Thanks for sharing Mayra.
Thanks for watching!
Great Pepe talk 👍🏼
Thank you for this! It’s common sense but people get desperate and punish themselves by starving! We have to learn what makes us comfortable as well as healthy and happy.
I'm a binger 😭 I'm a yo yo dieter. I've lost and gained even more
Over-restricting -> metabolism lowered -> binge
Thanks for the tips, keep it up the good work sister ❤💪
My pleasure 😊 ❤️
Myra, you are such a beautiful person inside and out!!! Thank you for sharing the valuable things you've learned during your years on this journey. Your videos have helped me in so many ways from great, healthy recipes to inspiring me not to give up when it seems so hard. Please keep being you because you are such a blessing. God bless you for being willing to share what you've learned over these years. Thank you, thank you, thank you:)
I really love your content it’s very informative and oh how I relate! Can’t wait to try the workout yore’s creating for us!
