Thats one of my biggest and only complaints. The UI is still scaled foe if your were playing with your face right against the monitor like if your playing on pc. If you notice, when you bring up your map, there is a little ping radius that appears for a split second on your player icon. I look for that to figure out were i am. Even opening and closing the map several times before i see the ping. Once i see were im at, i close the map and use my hud compass to then get my barrings. If they fix that, make focus aim toggleable, and give us screen resizing options (my tv has a lpt of run off and cant see some of the hud around the edges) then i would have zero complaints abput the game. Maybe fix the occasional stutter that happens too.

Yeah it's the extra depth of the classes are what I wanted from a battlefield game. I still play bfv but hll is pretty fun. Definitely gonna play it a lot more

As a console player myself, the recent release of Sandstorm really made me happy and I pray to whoever it may be that they release Zero Hour on console as well. I am absolutely loving this shift in console releases. Tactical shooters are perfect for those console players seeking raw, realistic and hard-core strategic shooters such as myself

There may not be a training session, however there is a ‘Field Manual’ (a guide) that walks you through every aspect of the game… not mechanics, but the tasks itself. I’ve been playing a week and already a lvl 48. It’s really easy to get adapted to the game, and older player have been nothing but helpful in my first few hours.
I wouldn't hold my breath the game has been officially released on PC for more than half a year and still know training missions or boot camp tutorial... And since the announcement of the console release and subsequently focusing all their attention on now working on that version I doubt they're actually ever going to add a mission style tutorial to help familiarize new players with the game.
Great game, spent the entire match as a tank gunner and held down the middle of the map most of game. Racked up around 30 kill thanks to the tank commander pointing enemies out, can’t wait to play it when it comes out.
I have been watching a lot of hell let loose content since I am going to install the game as soon as I get my hands on the series S and I just wanna say this is the best tutorial I have seen for the game.

I’ve been playing this game on my series x for the last two days. I haven’t touched any other fame. It’s so amazing to play. This is what battlefield should’ve been like.
So f’ing hyped for this. Been following for a while, preordered and tried the trial this past weekend. Absolutely loved it. Can’t wait for the community in the game to really get a hold of all the concepts and make this something truly special. Easily the most impressive WWII shooter Iv ever played.
If you are new to tanking in hell let loose let me give you some advice. 1. Always try to get a flank on enemy tanks, even if they are a class lower than you. Getting the quickest kill possible on a tank is always the way to go, staying still for a long time means death most of the time. 2. If you have the choice of a light tank or a recon tank choose the recon vehicle. The recon vehicle and light tanks are basically the same in terms of how many rockets and tank rounds you can take (one most of the time) and the main gun damage are about the same. The recon vehicle is faster and easier to drive, you can absolutely destroy heavy tanks if you get a good flank off. Not only can you quickly drive up behind enemy tanks but you can get away faster as well. Most tanks will not chase you. 3. Always have at least 1 or two other people in your crew. Tanks are not effective with only one person. Don’t be *that* guy.

This game just dropped as a PS Plus free game so just starting out. Having to relearn how to play a war game has been an eye opener as it’s both similar and different from any Battlefield or Arma Assault. I’ve had no idea what I’m doing, where I am on the map and where I got shot from most of the time. No one seems to be using microphones on console in the games I’ve joined.

Having console players on open mic is just asking for trouble and I'll take my chances without the communicating.... you'll either get really shitty, distorted music blaring, old mate just casually chatting to his housemate with the mic on, or bong bubbles every 20 seconds
Can confirm that having a player continually dropping supplies off in a supply truck can be a huge boon for your team. I spent an entire match driving back and forth from my german base to the Town Center point on Carentan in a supply truck dropping off supplies and our team setup an impenetrable defensive position on the Town Center that allowed us to hold said point for the entire match. (I also leveled up the class I was playing quite a bit from that as well even though I got 0 kills)

I just bought the game today and I'm addicted. I typically play Battlefield cause that was the closest Sim I could find. Hell let loose is perfect, the realism, strategy, team work communication. Such a good game

I have a pc so it doesn’t effect me too much but I do enjoy console gaming a lot so I always wished rising storm 2 would have come to console since that game is so fun but I would ultimately prefer this one if I had to choose. Also excited for insurgency on console.
Played one of my first game is today on Omaha beach and it was amazing random squad all of them had microphones and we decided to work away round the whole enemy map to their artillery and take out their enemy base it was amazing

I’ve been playing for a few days now. Start playing as a non-leadership role and just get the feel for the game in a limited responsibility role. From there you’ll do just fine.
Really doesn't take too long, especially if you've played other FPS games before. Start off with the standard rifleman role and go from there. The biggest learning curve is getting a feel for the various map layouts and how to utilize cover properly. You'll probably die a lot at first, and later on, haha. The good news is that your team isn't strictly punished or rewarded for the number of deaths or kills. What ultimately matters most is the objectives. Most important thing you can do is communicate with your squad and work towards the common goal. Have fun!
Nice summary. It would have been good if the visual part of the video was more relavant to what was being said, but I appreciate that would have really extended the editing time.
One main point is turn up your damn microphone volume in hell let loose' audio settings.. i cant hear anybody talking until i tell them to fix their shit

Could you do more console based guides for this game as there's rumours it's going to be PS+ game next month? I'd like to see how a game is played and how to succeed in it. The general mechanics of the game explained etc. I'm really disappointed with BF 2042 because of the delay so I need a decent shooter to play before BF 2042 comes out if it ever does.
Cannot wait to play this game. I love insurgency sandstorm but I've done it all and seen it all in that game, ive won every game and all trophies, it needs an all out war game mode like this has. This having a massive warfare game mode is super appealing!!

Downloading it now and decided to watch a video on it to get prepared. Going to find a group to get with so I can learn the ropes more in game. I used to do BF4 MilSim & want to have a more serious hardcore FPS experience.
Warning Warning there is a lot of spawn killing in the game once then enemy or your team gets to the last objective. Nothing like spawning in and not expecting it and then. Bam
Hey I’ve heard that in console there aren’t really people playing the game so it’s like you playing on a big map with very few people but in pc you get the whole 100 people and can easily find people
Little tip if your a player coming off battlefield and cod. The default control sensitivity, especially for ADS, is a lot lower so you can aim and shoot at farther ranges that what we are normally used to. Jack your sensitivities up to what your normally comfortable with. Then lower your right stick dead zone and aim acceleration all the way down. Then slowly bring them back up till it feels comfortable and natural. You will notice you can now look and aim quicker, but fine aim adjustments when shooting at a distance will be more accurate without overshooting your crosshair/iron sights
On PS5 i have only jumped in one lobby so far in the 4 days ive played that actually had like 80 people in it it seems like. That same lobby had amazing commanders who won us the game. All other games... Not so much. Even had a couple lobbys that were like 6 people
@@TheTacticalBrit the G43 is definitely a great option if you level up rifleman/assault/officer, and if you're on the ussr side you can get the very similar svt-40 with iron sights in the support loadout -- same one is used as the russian level 6+ sniper and is fantastic

Great video... my only wish is that it would have been more helpful if you had shown video to match the topic at the time. So show the Engineer loadout screen when you are talking about the Engineer, show the Map when talking about the Map, etc.
How do you zoom in really close iron sights? I know you can ads, then hold RB and it zooms in a little. But then i see vids where they zoom in really close, like all the way up to the front sight almost. How the hell you do that on consoles lol??
I think they just edit those videos so you can see what they're shooting at,wouldn't be much of a milsim if u could zoom in on iron sights like a sniper
Console REALL REALLY needs an along stick dead zone option in the menus. Too many times I was aiming at someone 75 meters and beyond the focus fire was borderline impossible to use.
No server browser. Inability to choose side. A lot of microlagging and server issues. Settings do not save between restarts/matches. Frequent server timeouts/random disconnects are an issue as well. I really hope they fix these issues soon since the game is fantastic when it actually works and there is no reason what so ever to water down the experience in any way, shape or form just because it is on console.
I gotta disagree on your take about the machine gunner role. It’s much more then just “spray and pray”. You can pin entire squads all game with a good machine gunner.
well i played last night for the first time at like 9pm and at 5am my alarm went off and i went to work. No sleep lol. This game is amazing. I absolutely suck at cod but this is so much better and i’m actually getting kills and surviving. I’m tempted to play it again tonight but i can’t do another all nighter
So far 9/10 games I've been in on ps5 have had zero teamwork. Nobody talks. I try several different squads everytime to see if there's communication but have only found some guys talking back a couple of times....
Hey as a machine gunner main I gotta disagree. They are really useful to suppress enemies that are dug in, distractions, and disrupting advancing enemies.
Im so glad this came to consoles. Ive watched it on and off for years on youtube but i dont PC game. Ive always appreciated the realism aspect but actually playing it and understanding the squad based mechanics its a whole new tier of gaming. Its a serious challenge and unlike any thing I've ever played. You can learn some actual battle strategy if you're playing with the right people. And its the closest to realism ive seen in a game. Last night on Kursk i watched an entire 6 man squad get turned into ground beef by an artillery round right in front of me and was like holy shit! 😳
I noticed a lot of enemy tanks in this video, so would you have been communicating that these were there over Comms? I noticed you didn’t ping them in the video, I’m brand new so just checking! Do grenades do any worthwhile damage to tanks?

Bfv felt pretty team oriented. We have like 80 guys in our platoon and we all play our role.

How many hours would a noob need to actually become a valued team member, seems daunting - but can see some real plus sides to this game once you break that mould
I’ve been playing for a few days now. Start playing as a non-leadership role and just get the feel for the game in a limited responsibility role. From there you’ll do just fine.
Really doesn't take too long, especially if you've played other FPS games before. Start off with the standard rifleman role and go from there. The biggest learning curve is getting a feel for the various map layouts and how to utilize cover properly. You'll probably die a lot at first, and later on, haha. The good news is that your team isn't strictly punished or rewarded for the number of deaths or kills. What ultimately matters most is the objectives. Most important thing you can do is communicate with your squad and work towards the common goal. Have fun!
Nice summary. It would have been good if the visual part of the video was more relavant to what was being said, but I appreciate that would have really extended the editing time.

I can't get on with it. I can never see where I'm being shot from, and the iron sights don't help
One main point is turn up your damn microphone volume in hell let loose' audio settings.. i cant hear anybody talking until i tell them to fix their shit

So far I've liked playing this game and I only got it today and had tons of fun. But I need to figure out how everything works and this helped with most of my questions.

I'm really disappointed with BF 2042 because of the delay so I need a decent shooter to play before BF 2042 comes out if it ever does.
Get insurgency, it's similar but imo it is a more concise experience.
2042 is horrible. Play Insurgency before you try HLL
Cannot wait to play this game. I love insurgency sandstorm but I've done it all and seen it all in that game, ive won every game and all trophies, it needs an all out war game mode like this has. This having a massive warfare game mode is super appealing!!

There is a mic in the controller so in essence everyone has one. Wether or not they are muted is another story.
Downloading it now and decided to watch a video on it to get prepared. Going to find a group to get with so I can learn the ropes more in game. I used to do BF4 MilSim & want to have a more serious hardcore FPS experience.

Hey I’ve heard that in console there aren’t really people playing the game so it’s like you playing on a big map with very few people but in pc you get the whole 100 people and can easily find people

Little tip if your a player coming off battlefield and cod. The default control sensitivity, especially for ADS, is a lot lower so you can aim and shoot at farther ranges that what we are normally used to.
Jack your sensitivities up to what your normally comfortable with. Then lower your right stick dead zone and aim acceleration all the way down. Then slowly bring them back up till it feels comfortable and natural. You will notice you can now look and aim quicker, but fine aim adjustments when shooting at a distance will be more accurate without overshooting your crosshair/iron sights

On PS5 i have only jumped in one lobby so far in the 4 days ive played that actually had like 80 people in it it seems like. That same lobby had amazing commanders who won us the game. All other games... Not so much. Even had a couple lobbys that were like 6 people
I just wish these games came out on console like a year ago when it was lock down

@@TheTacticalBrit the G43 is definitely a great option if you level up rifleman/assault/officer, and if you're on the ussr side you can get the very similar svt-40 with iron sights in the support loadout -- same one is used as the russian level 6+ sniper and is fantastic
@@TheTacticalBrit I believe he´s referring to the fact STG 44 was not present in Stalingrad. The battle ended in February 1943 and STG44 was introduced later in October.
Great video... my only wish is that it would have been more helpful if you had shown video to match the topic at the time. So show the Engineer loadout screen when you are talking about the Engineer, show the Map when talking about the Map, etc.

How do you zoom in really close iron sights? I know you can ads, then hold RB and it zooms in a little. But then i see vids where they zoom in really close, like all the way up to the front sight almost. How the hell you do that on consoles lol??
I think they just edit those videos so you can see what they're shooting at,wouldn't be much of a milsim if u could zoom in on iron sights like a sniper

Console REALL REALLY needs an along stick dead zone option in the menus. Too many times I was aiming at someone 75 meters and beyond the focus fire was borderline impossible to use.
I think at launch it'll be fixed they said
No server browser.
Inability to choose side.
A lot of microlagging and server issues.
Settings do not save between restarts/matches.
Frequent server timeouts/random disconnects are an issue as well.
I really hope they fix these issues soon since the game is fantastic when it actually works and there is no reason what so ever to water down the experience in any way, shape or form just because it is on console.
I gotta disagree on your take about the machine gunner role. It’s much more then just “spray and pray”. You can pin entire squads all game with a good machine gunner.

well i played last night for the first time at like 9pm and at 5am my alarm went off and i went to work. No sleep lol. This game is amazing. I absolutely suck at cod but this is so much better and i’m actually getting kills and surviving. I’m tempted to play it again tonight but i can’t do another all nighter
I really needed this because I'm loving the game but I need how to adequately be a good teammate.

Console settings are the hardest thing to get right, the default is painfully slow

So far 9/10 games I've been in on ps5 have had zero teamwork. Nobody talks. I try several different squads everytime to see if there's communication but have only found some guys talking back a couple of times....
My biggest prob is after like 100 yards u can't see anything idk how people get kills that far

Hey as a machine gunner main I gotta disagree. They are really useful to suppress enemies that are dug in, distractions, and disrupting advancing enemies.
Is all of the content on pc present on console? I dont see a server browser and have not played on any Russian maps

Im so glad this came to consoles. Ive watched it on and off for years on youtube but i dont PC game. Ive always appreciated the realism aspect but actually playing it and understanding the squad based mechanics its a whole new tier of gaming. Its a serious challenge and unlike any thing I've ever played. You can learn some actual battle strategy if you're playing with the right people. And its the closest to realism ive seen in a game. Last night on Kursk i watched an entire 6 man squad get turned into ground beef by an artillery round right in front of me and was like holy shit! 😳

I noticed a lot of enemy tanks in this video, so would you have been communicating that these were there over Comms? I noticed you didn’t ping them in the video, I’m brand new so just checking! Do grenades do any worthwhile damage to tanks?
Quick recommendation, adjust the right stick deadzone. The beta didnt have the configuration and it was awful.
anjy tips for sensitivity and deadzone ? downloaded the game yesterday and im overwhelmed by the information, im also a lefty and shoot with L1 so the buttons dont match anymore with the tips .

Oh 95% of the real bf fans Will come too this game. Battelfield is an arcade tho this is a milsim much slower but also muuuuch muuuucch more epic. Ps i Will get my ps5 tomorrow just got a Mail i can pick it up now :)

I've not had to PTT, it's open mic. An L1 to switch between squad an proximity or commander. Have I missed something?
