Rules of thumb when traversing maps: The terrain, bushes, grass, rubble, and blown out buildings are your second most important team mates. Use these allies to find any and all ways you can think of to flank positions. Moving straight ahead is the cone of death in almost all instances. Think it’s hard spotting enemies? Well the good news is you are just as hard to see for them as well so use this to your advantage! I can’t stress this enough! I’m not even exaggerating. I’ve had entire groups walk right by me as I was laying prone in a dense bush mere feet away from them. Watched boots go right by my face and not a soul noticed me! In addition, making noise in this game can be your undoing. Players can hear each other. Foot steps. Water splashing. All of it. Mask your noise by doing things when shells and explosions are going off when your stealthing. Good news is, your can hear them as well. Stopping to listen to what’s going on is just as important as what you can see. Next: Don’t be afraid to put in a slow lengthy hike. I have in some instances traversed way off the beaten path away from the action and spent 10 to 15 minutes just getting to the enemy lines and then spend another 10 trying to get through to strike blind spots. It’s a tedious endeavor inching your way at a painfully slow pace. Sometimes doing a prone crawl through entire sections the whole way. It’s a time consuming gamble, cause if you get blasted you just wasted almost 30 minutes… but it has paid off more often than not when the patience, tactics and calculated decisions all come together. Tip: Planting outposts and garrisons behind enemy lines is a good idea if you are on Recon and playing as a spotter. This helps out the team and yourself as a sneaky respawn point. Lastly: When you think it’s safe to stand and sprint…crouch run instead. When you think it’s safe to crouch run…go prone and crawl…when you think it’s safe to crawl…don’t move an inch! This line of thinking keeps you from rushing into the enemies crosshairs even though it seems counter intuitive. Wean yourself off the urge to rush every aspect of the action like most shooters would have you do! But this is my supplemental tutorial and things I’d wish I’d known going in! Hope you’ve enjoyed my TED Talk. Thank you and good night!
So I just want to say here that I love the sound design of Hell Let Loose. The explosives actually freaked me out at first, because when I was in Iraq mortar shelling was pretty common. The artillery sounds amazing, and it’s always hilarious just walking around before everything suddenly goes quiet and you see “Killed In Action” out of nowhere.
Bro, I was wearing headphones and literally thought my coffee table was shaking in the middle of my living room the first time I played but it was all in my head.
If D-Day had failed, it would have meant heavy Allied loss of manpower, weaponry, and equipment. The Allied forces would need years more of grueling planning and hard work to launch another invasion like the one at Normandy. In particular, the British would have had to cover a high cost, and even the eastern front and the soviets going full bulldozer there would be a chance of much of europe turning completely red.
The key is to play it more like a stealth game than a typical twitchy FPS. Sneak around and don't be seen, then go for the good kills. Patience wins in HLL.
I just downoaded this game and after 5 games of playing i have learned to avoid open spaces and move silently. It takes patience but damn it is fun to spray 5 enemies with mp40 without them even knowing who killed them
Brutal learning curve in this game but one of the most rewarding games when you crack it. Found everyone on mic to be so much fun, never take it hyper serious but yet still communicate to aid the gameplay.
You can be serious and still have fun. The most fun I have had personally is those rare occasions when the whole squad is being serious with call outs and coronation. The game is a fucking blast when that happens, even if you are getting your ass kicked and losing the match. I love how most people immediately start to RP when the medic comes by. And most people are very helpful and pointing out what you should be doing if you speak up and mention you are new.
I love big war games like these but I spent my first 2 hours just running and dying from enemies I didn't even know existed but the community is actually really chill which was unexpected. All my games there was people willing to answer my questions and give me tips on how to play and when I accidentally killed someone they just confirmed it was an accident and went "oh alright, you're all good"
Good vid, tho as one who have a good amount of +100h in the game here is some important pointers: - Set your max view of friendly nameplates to max, but do be aware that friendly tanks nameplates spawns in at a waaaay closer distance, always consult your map when spotting a tank. - Please do as your SL (Squad Leader) tells you. You will get to shoot at people, but this is a 100 man co-op game and sometimes you'll need to be on the defensive. - You can redeploy by pressing the ESC key and select it in the menus to the bottom left, it will sometimes be relevant. - Spawing at outpost is almost always better than spawig at a HQ as HQ spawns drains manpower from the General's resources, again you make your commander love you. - When in doubt, frag out. If you have any suspicion that an enemy is hiding in a foxhole, bush, behind a wall, just frag out, it saves a lot of (your own) deaths.

Ah Hell Let Loose, what fun there is to be had. On offense I once got a 95 kill streak as the offense in a medium tank, so the commander gave us a heavy when we were finally taken out. We lost that heavy tank to a ditch shortly afterwards.
I've been playing for a little while but this has been very helpful. The monotonous voice you have actually goes well with the sense of humor you applied to this video btw
I really want to like this game. But honestly, I just get killed from places I have no idea where from, never see the enemy, and when I do, it’s too late to do anything before I’m dead.
If you are always getting killed before it’s too late, you are probably playing like it’s COD and need to slow. The fuck. Down. Remember, these games go in for 1+ hours. There is no need to be on point right now. Run, walk, stop, observe. If you have a squad, try to make sure one person is always observing while others move. Being able to hold a defensive position with your squad as well can literally turn the tides of a game.
@@captainhellhound7451 yeah I’ve been playing for 2 months now. Love the game, consistently get 30+ kills per game playing as Anti Tank. Defo not going back to COD.

playing the free weekend, had one of the most amazing matches where me and a friend were recon. our team had pushed to the 4th capture point while we were slowly working our way at the edges. by the time we got to the point our team got pushed to our 2nd capture point, so we slowly worked our way back to our team, picking off whatever outposts we could until we actually met up the frontline, demolished the enemy on point and made a concerted push. never felt so badass to be able to completely turn around a hopeless situation with just 2 people after a solid 10 minutes of just hopelessly trecking back
How to play steps: Step 1: Spawn as Support. Drop Supplies immediately. Redeploy 2: Sapwm as engineer. Build MANPOWER node. Put plans down for munitions node. Redeploy. 3: Spawn as Support. At the 2:30min mark right as the warmup period ends, you'll have another supply box. Drop supplies and build the munitions node. 4: At this point, you can either repeat the process and build your 3rd node after another 2:30min, OR you can redeploy on your squad lead's outpost as they begin attacking the middle point. Pro tip 1: Redeploy at headquaters and then redeploy again everytime you want to cut your supplies/ammo countdown. Pro tip 2: Don't stay as Support class. Use it as a temporary spawn in to drop supplies/ammo wherever you'd need a new garrison/AT gun/repair station, and then redeploy as the class you like. There's never enough repair stations or AT guns built at strong points near the middle of the map. You don't have to stay as AT in order to have an AT gun built, just build one in a strongpoint and move on. Same goes for throwing mines down.

Just gave the game my first try under the impression it was just battlefield, which i never really tried, but heck "it's basically cod right?". Long story short I found out the hard way that you can't just shoot a machine gun and starting a squad is actually some sort of responsibility (people got really mad at me for that one).
I have over 1k hours on this game and let me tell you, this video was perfect for new players. I’ve played fps games my whole life since I’m an ‘06 baby, and this really does explain the first 10-20 hours of this game really well. HLL is not for the feint of heart, and you will NOT be able to run and gun like typical FPS games and expect good results. Playing this PTSD sim like if you were actually there not only increases survival (because human survival instincts are a darn special thing) but also increases enjoyment. The ending summer tho up perfectly; you will die. a lot.
First couple games i just ran around dying alot but caught the hang of it now i get 2-3 kd everygame just playin more stealthy and slowly havin alot of fun
Thanks for the video. Just started playing this and this is such a breath of fresh air. I am done with all this MP games with that put their efforts in just how to sell you the next ridiculous weapon skin or outfit.
I came from Rising Storm Vietnam. Both games are one shot one kill and very dark and gritty at times. Move cover to cover and keep your head down. These are games of patience, not run guns blazing like CoD.
I Clicked on the first video i found when searching hell let loose tips. Didn't pay attention. I thought. I know this voice. This tone. This uninterested but somehow still very engaging phrasing. I love Homereel. I've probably seen every Hunt showdown video you ever posted.
You made me laugh so dang hard, man. "Offensive" game mode. That was a good one. Then again when you drowned at the end... Too picture a soldier just hopping in the river like that lol
Got this for this Christmas bit of a wait but love my realism games and dying is part of the fun. Every action has consequences is my kind of game. Thanks for the tips can’t wait wife found out I bought it and said I’ll wrap it for christmas ha ha
I’ve never heard it said unironically. Maybe in the way of you hear a loud noise and go “That makes me think of hell let loose” or you genuinely get a bit scared for a bit. I genuinely start tensing up under artillery in the game now. I know I’m not gonna die in real life, but I’ve been alive for 30 fucking minutes I DONT WANT TO RESPAWN AGAIN
I feel like the last minute of the video was a piercing ray of judgement upon me. That said, I thank you for the video, it’s helpful for a total noob like myself.
A few buddies and I just got it for Xbox. It’s fun but I spend most my time running or waiting on long respawn timers. Most of the time I just get killed from absolutely nowhere, I’ve tried my hardest to be sneaky and crawl but I still get slaughtered lol. My best game was in a sherman with my friends on battle of the bulge. Still got alot to learn
The fun roleplay is one of the main selling points of this game, for me 😂😂 It looks like a LOT of fun. I love Band of Brothers and this, in some ways, makes me think of that. It's also great that you HAVE to work together as a squad or you will affect the outcome of the battle. I really thrive on team work as well as tactics and strategy. I've always been great at games like Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, etc. in which you have to be sneaky and use the environment to your advantage yet also charge when the opportunity presents itself. I want to get this game but I've seen a few videos saying that it has gotten worse since the dev team sold it? Also I'm afraid of not being good enough and my squad getting frustrated with me because I'm not able to help out enough.
Bro ironically the police academy has denied my application for probably 3 times or more. The intro got me so I'm hooked now. I got kicked out of the Army for smoking pot so now I play HLL 😂🎉

My first time playing Carentan, I was like "oh I'll just swim across the canal."
The prox coms in this game are hilarious
"Just like for a successful rap career, more bars the faster it goes" I felt that.
20% tips, 80% banter
First couple games i just ran around dying alot but caught the hang of it now i get 2-3 kd everygame just playin more stealthy and slowly havin alot of fun
You earned my Thumbs Up in the first 20 seconds. 😆
😂 first time seeing one of your vids and I'm hoping more of these will come
The way this video feels like an old school basic training video makes it 1000x more better 😂
7:03 came for info on a new game I just downloaded. Stayed for the tutorial on how to drop jokes and make them fit perfectly within your video. 🤣👌🏼
Great tutorial - direct, simple, and straight to the point. And some genuine quality humor too. Cheers!
Step 1: Get a system that won't overheat and crash five minutes in.
Learned that the hard way.
I'm extemely good at not dying in fps games. And yet thats all i have ever done so far in this game
Thanks for the video. Just started playing this and this is such a breath of fresh air. I am done with all this MP games with that put their efforts in just how to sell you the next ridiculous weapon skin or outfit.
Your the first UA-camr I've heard pronounce garand correctly
I came from Rising Storm Vietnam. Both games are one shot one kill and very dark and gritty at times. Move cover to cover and keep your head down. These are games of patience, not run guns blazing like CoD.
wake up babe , new HomeReel series just dropped
I Clicked on the first video i found when searching hell let loose tips. Didn't pay attention. I thought. I know this voice. This tone. This uninterested but somehow still very engaging phrasing. I love Homereel. I've probably seen every Hunt showdown video you ever posted.
Game just came to gamepass and I love it
You made me laugh so dang hard, man. "Offensive" game mode. That was a good one.
Then again when you drowned at the end... Too picture a soldier just hopping in the river like that lol
You are truly special. Thank you for the tips, -a Game Pass newb.
I love the dry delivery of the dad jokes xD Great video!
Shoutout to the USMC music in the background
Brilliant a video without over exited shouting idiots. I am new to Hell Let Loose. Thank you for your good advice
Lol great intro! I’m watching band of brothers rn and I found this game. I can’t wait to play.
Awesome video Man, played like 20 mins and decided to watch, and nit only learnt a bit, but laughed as well 😅
Bro you are awesome,it's fun to learn tips as a beginer.
Got this for this Christmas bit of a wait but love my realism games and dying is part of the fun. Every action has consequences is my kind of game. Thanks for the tips can’t wait wife found out I bought it and said I’ll wrap it for christmas ha ha
Great narration! Love the dry humour… “nude beach etiquette - standing around erect will get people pointing at you” - 🤣
Good vid, good sense of humor and I liked the navy anthem in the back ground
How TF do people unironically say that a video game will give you PTSD?
I’ve never heard it said unironically. Maybe in the way of you hear a loud noise and go “That makes me think of hell let loose” or you genuinely get a bit scared for a bit. I genuinely start tensing up under artillery in the game now. I know I’m not gonna die in real life, but I’ve been alive for 30 fucking minutes I DONT WANT TO RESPAWN AGAIN
Good video, I do not play but have been hooked watching my son play. Seeing all consel games, MOH ECT, this is my favorite.
commentary f'in killed it, thanks man I was completely lost
Nice video and funny commentary. I'm about to buy this game, and this cleared a lot of things up! Thanks
My neighbour has what looks like 2 wooden barriers in his garden like the one the engineer can make, now I can’t stop seeing his garden in the game
By far the funniest guide I’ve watched for HLL
Good vid. You should have metioned that new players should set the display distance for friendly markers to high as fk though.
I learned so much. Plus hilarious commentary.
I just want to thank you for all the hilarious analogies.
Dude said he wasn't a quaker and then proceeded to laugh exactly how a quaker would laugh.
i got this game last night and i already luke it more than BF and MW3
Lol. I just picked it up last night also! Battlefield one is still my favorite. This is a lot slower paced but I like it.
Thank you man. I am comminted to learn this game and some day feel that I contributed to a victory and that I was not carried.
Bro all the KIA’s at the end of the video with the drums playing was so hell let loose 😂😂
great video man i love your UI graphics too, maps etc.
I feel like the last minute of the video was a piercing ray of judgement upon me. That said, I thank you for the video, it’s helpful for a total noob like myself.
I found you from the hunt videos. Im so glad you cover this beaut of a game
I die in this more than in any other mil-sim. It's like dark souls of mil sims...love it
Great video.
I enjoyed the quips and the ending montage greatly
A few buddies and I just got it for Xbox. It’s fun but I spend most my time running or waiting on long respawn timers. Most of the time I just get killed from absolutely nowhere, I’ve tried my hardest to be sneaky and crawl but I still get slaughtered lol. My best game was in a sherman with my friends on battle of the bulge. Still got alot to learn
What happened to more videos of this game ?
Your references in your script are quite comical. "like your drunk uncle" "like some twisted carl sagan" lol
the fact so many people hoe pointed out how much you die in this game tells me how realistic it is.
Enjoyed your dry wit, liked and subbed :)
I chuckled a lot at this ..and learned I enjoyed the video 👍
Bro ironically the police academy has denied my application for probably 3 times or more. The intro got me so I'm hooked now. I got kicked out of the Army for smoking pot so now I play HLL 😂🎉
5:11 bro already has ptsd and kinda looks like michel scofield
“Just like your parents and their temporary separation…it’s time to pick a side.” Lmfao 💀
Bro, you’re funny as fuck. God damn, you got those quality jokes for days! Got me chucklin’, homie! 😂
