Deer Creek Reservoir has always been enticing to fish, but I've found it to be tough for trout fishing every time I've fished it. I decided to bring the float tube out and see if I could chase some of the decent holdover rainbows and piece something together. Instead, I caught fish that were not Rainbow Trout...

For the record DC kicks everybody's butt unless you're a skier. Back in the day they would give you a bucket to take in the boat so you had a place to put all the perch. I I'm not sure if there are any perch in the lake now.

I know they're in there. The type 7 dragging the bottom is def the best chance to get them on a fly.
That's the way I feel about DC, kicks my butt each time I have gone except for one spot. Great Browns and you gotta love that Walleye!

Yeah. I thought it was going to be a decent day. Those first two fish were in the first 20 mins. Then it was nothing for like the next 4 hours until that last one.
