    This is a great winter midge pattern invented by Eric Athe of Colo Springs
    Ginny Midge
    Hook: Scud hook size #16-24
    Bead: Brass Silver colored size to match the hook
    Thread: Semperfli Classic Waxed 8/0, Black
    Body & Wing: Semperfli Mirror 1/69" Tinsel-Mirage Irise

    my brother david would have liked watching this, he was really into it with all the special tools and bird pelts. he and my dad were real avid fly fisherman, it was a way of life and hobby for them but they're gone now. i still have some of their flies and fishing poles but i'm just a hack fair weather type angler. thnx for the show.

    as i was saying my brother and dad were into 'trout unlimited 'and the 'greater lowell fly fisherman' in massachusetts.

      Literally took it out of the vise and put it in the light box for the photo so yea… it’s the same fly.
