- $100 BROKEN PS5 - Extended Cut - This PS5 was sold to me for only $100 and the seller claims it has a bad fan connector and shuts down after being turned on. Let's open up the console and see if there is anything else wrong with it, or if this will be an easy fix!

LoL. I could not figure out why you shaved your head,,,,,I was thinking you were just getting old like me, lossing too much to come over, MY BAD, best to you and hope you get better , god bless!
He has terminal cancer🥺
@@wrz2k143 He does not have terminal cancer. He is officially in remission. Which is great news!
@@wrz2k143The things people will say to get attention on the Internet..... smh 🤦♂️
@@jcj_official he never even tried to get attention from it
@@karikov22he's talking about the commenter lying about Steve's condition... Lol
"And...yeah, that's the perfect amount of liquid metal right there." 😃Sounds so satisfying, never gets old.
Lol, yep, never gets old!
@@TronicsFixLongs and if it gets old, you need to clean it up and reapply the perfect amount of liquid metal / solder paste!
Watching this guy is sooooo therapeutic. Love the content! And im glad to hear the good news! Your a fighter 💪
You can use that toothbrush and put the perfect amount of toothpaste on it before brushing😂😂😂
Something about your videos is something else man, I’ve seen so many youtubers do stuff like this but for some reason yours the best, it’s so entertaining and relaxing at the same time. I have insomnia these type of videos legit give me motivation to keep on doing repairs and installation & also helps me sleep. Keep going! I hope you beat it man, I lost my grandma to it. You’re in our prayers! 🙏🏻
Yo man, hope you feeling better - keep up the good work
Thank you!
The perfect amount of everything on this channel!
Brilliant repair and so satisfying to watch with a happy ending at finish! Thanks for sharing.
We love you Steve, stay strong!
It is very very good to see you regain your health steve!!
I'm watching this on my PS5, and I thought the beep was my PS5 😂
Another great fix Steve well done
Thanks for the video! hope treatment is going well.
best to you and hope you get better , god bless!
Another great repair Steve!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good job on that connector, they’re cheap to buy if you ever can’t find one. I bought a bunch of dupont connectors to hook up servo motors and it came with a bunch of those other ones too, male and female.
Love watching these videos; its zen for me
Adult Harry Potter and his Wand! Great Repair and Video Steve. Thank You.
Thank you so much for all the knowledge you give to us for free
You are amazing Dude!!!!!❤
Steve, the fan connector is a through-hole component. Use a soldering iron with a wedge-shaped tip, heating the PCB with a surface-mount heat gun isn't safe. It's very easy to cause good solder joints to become cold solder joints (partially heating good solder joints often results in a bad/worse electrical connection.).
Hi, nice video, you can try to fix the pads with this: "Spot Welding Slice", great repair. 👌
17:07 hahahaha "I'm using my toothbrush..." , Hey Steve, please get a different toothbrush for your teeth!!! XD XD
Lol
Where can I find that super fine soldering iron tip you used on the connector? I really need one of those. Great long vid as always. I really enjoy these
Nice stuff! Nice hair too, brother! 😅🙏👍
Nice! Well done!
Nice job!
You can also use a pair of tweezers to hold down a connector while extracting the plug. Gives a little bit more space to work with and less fingernail destruction.
Good work
I like your videos Steve it keeps me wanting to do the same thing but i have three disorders and i wouldn't know how to do without breaking something
Love that sony brought back the sliding plate to the ps5 like it was on the ps3
I think, it's possible to replace PSU without unscrewing 5500 screws. You can take out the board with heatsink, top plate and front plastic with usb ports.
i use ceramic tipped reverse tweesers to do that stuff.. makes it alot easier for me.
Notice the liquid metal blob located at the bottom as if that PS5 was in a vertical position, that's why I have my PS5 horizontal to prevent overheating and dry spots.
Yeah, I think horizontal is better for these.
Mine has always been horizontal also with no issues, I was thinking the same thing when I bought it so I've kept it that way
FYI, I think that Liquid Metal application was quite excessive. next time use a cotton bud to move the liquid metal from around the APU and re-spread that around. More was not necessary. Most if is squished out except for a nanometer film across the die. With liquid metal less is better, well actually this applies to thermal compound too. Cheers Steve!
I bought a PS4 for 25 U$D (25.000 CLP) that was supposedly completely bad... I only did some measurements and it came back to life on its own. It was on 11.02 and I reverted it to 11.00, now waiting for GoldHen to be released ❤
How did you downgraded it?
How did you downgraded it?
Hi out of curiousity where did you buy that console?
Did you test if for overheating ? i didnt hear anything about this issue after it turns on, could you clarify ? (or im just so tired i didnt notice you saying anthing about overheating)
So did you test it?
nice 2 channels i didn't know!
Welcome to our second channel!
I love your videos and I know because of danger and power you don’t want to show your followers dealing with the powersupply. But in my opinion, it would be perfect and the top of the crown 👑 , if you had tried and filmed to repair also the power supply, not only to change it.
I think I also remember seeing you reparing already a power supply what had the transistor noise problem
There are many ways to show & explain the rest power in transistors let them of power for a while or write and show at the beginning of your videos
„not to be imitated or only for experienced electronics technicians“
I am interested what cause the problem and what was really broken, The actual problem was the power supply and the fan connection was therefore torn off
Best regards from Germany
Will / could you show us pls, what was the actual problem with the power supply? I’m definitely not the only one, who wants to know it 😅
" conformal coating " We all know that's 80's era Avon Nail Polish. My mom sold Avon in the 80's, I recognize that stuff.........wait, that sounded weird......
Hey can anyone please remind me again where we can buy the consoles?
Good deal 💪🏻
Come on Steve! We know you love the taste of flux in your toothbrush. Lol!! Hope you doing good sir!
Lol, ewww
I repaired an iPhone that had literally been run over. Also one that was pulled out of the North Sea . I got them working only enough to tell the owners to back up the data and replace the device quick snap!
Hey, I got a working PS5 for $150. Only bought it because it was so cheap, haven’t touched it once. I have used the controller that came with it quite a bit though.
Hi
once repair is done what do you do with these
i mean is there any online store to purchase then
i am looking to get a PS5 in low budget
We occasionally do auctions on Whatnot to auction off repaired consoles, but we don't sell them anywhere specifically.
What grinder are you using for this? Thanks
From what I heard its pencil grinder
Daily gold content weekly diamond 💎 content !
I want to clean my PS5 out on the inside but looks like I need a special tool? What did you use?
Mine has had overheating issues pretty much since the first month and keeping it clean seems to help
i subscribed
I try not to use my PS5 to much during the day and i dust my room to keep it from getting dirty and i never keep it sitting vertical always horizontal
Power supply "Dap??????" chip may need replacing for this un.. just discharge those large capacitors safely first though..
APU 👁👍
5 finger discount on that fan connector. 😂😂😂
I have problem with my PS3 slim. I bought it used. It plays games and loads regular games. However when I insert a game with a larger data such as GTA 5, the HDD shuts down and doesn’t do anything. Any ideas on what I can do?
could be a hdd failure, try with another hdd or ssd if you got one
Will try thanks
Long time fan , first time caller
Do by chance have the link to the nossle for your hot air station - I have a Hakko as well - keep up the good work - stay healthy
I would like to pay to get my ps5 fixed if possible!
Nice
I bet you were a pro at playing Operation when you were a kid. 😊
Ha, ha, only played it a couple of times but I don't think I was that great.
Okay, next we need Extra Longs, I want to see each and every one of the 650 screws removed from the PS5 in real time. :p
(Definitely just joking!)
Long Video for Xbox series x please... Please... Please
Minty fresh flux
My tooth brush lol
he already forgot that it is ps5 and not ps4 LOL
Hair cameo.
Yeah the perfect amount of liquid metal.. A whole tube... That's enough for like 3 ps5s
@tronixfix would you shipping in Canada to a family of 6 that can't afford to buying it? Not me
Perfect amount🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Lol
Don't you have a shirt that says I'm here because you broke something?
Yep!
@@TronicsFixLongs I want that one because nobody seems to want to talk to me until they want me to fix something
Let me know if you fixed give you 10 bucks
I hope you're doing better from your treatment. I know you'll be cancer free soon
Is this a scam account because I follow his main account? So why does he have this account now
We're using this Longs account to post longer versions of the original videos, just for those who want to see the whole process. It isn't a scam, so don't worry!
This is several times too much of this liquid metal.
It cost a PSU
(Ps4)
Bosh
What would you sell this PS5 for ?
People repair this over priced crap and sell refurbished..I say stay well clear if you like your data.
:o)❤
FIRST !!
this console is so bad.
I am casting a spell for you to get well soon
I wish I could stop seeing your video tired of just ps5 repairs
You know, you don't have to click on them and watch them.
@@TronicsFixLongs Exactly what I'm thinking lol
I don't see why they have to be so negative about it, no one is forcing them to watch your videos.
Also God bless you man, I hope you're feeling better!
There are ways to have UA-cam suggest a channel less. Look them up and implement them instead of being rude and complaining in the channel comments. There’s nothing the channel creator can do about it. It’s on you
You are working on a ps5 not a ps4
