    Right on, that was a good workout for that bike. It was great to see the suspension in action, thank you for those angles! It's such a great feeling to have everything work after you have put so much time into it. I can't wait to see some more off-road footage with this bike.

    I tried my original Interceptor 650 on a similar. It did well but I lost two screws of one exhaust and got in hanging for 30km. Also lost the little triangle cromed piece guarding the mid-joint. It is not made for off road but will do decent if you drive at a moderate pace.

    Great vid. I like your comment about GS's. They have got ridiculous as green/off road bikes. I used to have an 80's GS and it was bloody great. I used it on North Derbyshire and S Yorkshire green lanes, to the IoM and trail rode it there and down to the South of France. Where is that type of bike now? Oh yeah; an RE Interceptor with a few mods!

      Thanks Ian, I'm a big fan of the adventure bike scene, never been a roadie as such, I'm all landies, mtb, dual sport type vibe, but I love the Interceptor and its nearly my perfect dual sport. I love the Interceptor.. you did a great job turning it into a weekend warrior. But with all the time and money invested in this project, wouldnt it have been better to simply press a Himalayan into service and save the Interceptor for kinder surfaces.. After all, if the Himalayan's a work boot, the Interceptor's more of an urban shoe. I expect to get flamed, but I have both.

    • @DormanDiaries
      @DormanDiaries  3 роки тому +2

      Thanks for your comment John,
      I've had a dual sport before but they are too compromised on the road. At the end of the day the majority of miles I will do will be road based but I want to be able to get muddy boots when required. Same thinking with my land rover, its running mud terrains even though 80% of the time it doesn't need them, but its pointless having it if I can't drag a laden trailer across a muddy field when I need to. Cost wise most of mine are home grown and at minimal cost and a big part of the enjoyment is fabricating and customizing. Like a big boys Meccano!!
