Hi! Could you please tell me the size of this off road tyres for Interceptor 650? What size is being used for both the tyres? I would like to know its height and wide. Thanks!
Not had an issue yet, I've changed wheel sizes on previous bikes as well. Just check with your insurer on a case by case basis. Putting a rear fitment on the back may become an issue but I know people do it and still get insurance an accident investigator may think different though.
I do wish RE had chosen the common 17inch tubeless rims at both ends for their first model... Some TKC's would have been sweet for "scrambling" and some excellent sticky rubber options for the road. I think this is where they went a little too far towards the form over function. Maybe in their upcoming models they could just do what Triumph does. Change the rims and make completely different models. Roadsters with 17 alloys, classics with 18 wires and a off road 17/19 wire model. Different lick of paint, handlebars, pegs, suspension, seats and names. They'd clean up the market! A bike for just about everyone.
Just a quick update, I used your link to the Front tyre on eBay from M&P , the link has now been changed, I received a AX41S which is correct to there description but is not a knobbly tyre, they do also have the AX41 knobbly tyre just not from your link, I didn't want anyone else getting the wrong tyre like myself. keep up the good work I am loving the channel.
Good tires for off road, definitely looks good but for good paved roads them only add noise and vibrations, and if you’re planning to do a lot of off road riding you’ll need different suspension (my thought)
Hi @Dorman,,just wanted to know if you faced any issues post using this tyres..m planning to get same tyres but slightly concerned on if there are any cons
@@DormanDiaries I know but they said they are going to add those techs because of the BS6 norms ( just like euro 4,5) The price of these machines will go up in India so they want to give customer something more .
Those don't look like tubeless compatible rims, (not in terms of air seal but the flange shape for hooking tire onto)???? Even though the bike come on with tubeless tires
Yep standard rims are not tubeless. Your fine with a tube in TL tyres though. I'd always defer to what the tyre manufacturer says though, think there are a few wild cards. I did a lot of research before taking the punt on these. Love them though.
Finally got to watch the video👍...tyres look awesome👌👌👌...bike looks cool...pls share the tyre specifications, size and model as I'm looking for knobbies for my interceptor too.
Hi Pal, they tend to have a range of sizes on the box. I think 130/80-18. Main thing I would recommend is going for a heavy duty one. The rear was a real pain to seat the first time. Do it whilst the tyre is nice and warm and plenty of lube!
Did you find any similar options? I’m in Brazil, love this tyre but impossible to get hold of over here. Were there any other brands/tyre models that came up with the correct fitment?
Hi, Check out Chris Konings on Instagram he has just fitted 130/80/18 on the rear Heidenau K60 (not the scout version) and 110 Heidenau K60 scout on the front 110/80/18
I own myself a Continental GT 650 and I am considering changing the tired to something knobbier like this. Ive read that you can reach up to 150 on the rear and 120 up front, but i dont have any information on the width, was wondering if you could give me a hand on that. Great video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yea pal, fine I chuck it about on them, predictable. Only had one close shave so far where I lent a little too far on a cold damp corner, but even a street tyre would have probably slipped.
Isn't the Battlax speed rating too low for the Interceptor? The top speed is about 112mph, which means it should use an 'S' rated tyre, but the Battlax are 'P' and 'Q' rated.
Yea i researched carefully on size and speed speed rating before purchase. I think mine are rated at 94 from memory. Thats more than fast enough for me.
@@DormanDiaries Thx but I meant if the rims of the interceptor are fit for tubeless on what concerns its internal structure: the bead flange /seat / hump of a tube fitted rim is different from a tubeless rim so that my concern whether a tubeless tire will fit safely on a tube rim.
@@PMVasconcellos My tyres are tubeless but say if fitted to non tubeless rims then fit a tube. Not all give this option. Its more tyre related than rim.
@@DormanDiaries Understood. RE store said the rims would fit for tubeless but I needed to make sure, don't want to take the risk. Thanks for your help.
You haven't got much room for changing on the interceptor without changing other items, I wouldn't want to go any bigger than this on the rear but all tyre manufacturers have slight differences. On the bridgestone website they tell you what width rim each tyre is recommended for and they give you actual diameters etc.
Don't know yet mate, dry here for a change and on lock-down so not taking it out on the street. I'm used to knobbly tyres though so not expecting anything unexpected.
Every time I look at this bike I wish to own one
Thank you sir

Thank you sir!
Thank you for your Interceptor videos, I'm really learning a lot from you.
Could you please tell me what headlight grill you have on your bike?
Man I love your bike.👍👍👍🏍🏍🏍
I am just wondering if these tires have a grip while cornering ? cause the company tires Do
You could use some heavy duty tubes perhaps. Those tires are really good looking 👍
Super . Well done!
Hi there how have you found these tyres on roads and in the wet in particular? thanks Mike
The rear link purchase link says the tyre is tubeless.. does this matter? Thanks
Where did you get the number plate above the headlight from please
Don't you have problems with motorcycle insurance because you have a tire outside the standard size?

Royal Enfield is going to launch the scrambler with that engine with more tech

Dan Matos keep as close as you can to original size on the rear or it will catch.
Hi. Love how these look! One question, are they ok just for city riding? I just adore the look, would never go off-road to be honest :)

What pipes have you mounted?
Dude your brave using acf50 as wheel lube!!
Used silicone grease more recently! Even slippier !!

Thanks Steve, I know, all this perfect riding weather after a winter of rain and we can’t go anywhere!
Can we put the rear tire on front rim?
Hey will these tyres fit harley davidson Street 750?
