I just started flute making and got my first flute to work. I fell in love with the sound. The quality is really bad but I can hear the notes and have now decided that flutes are cool as shit. I am going to give making a flute a second go. I love how dead honest and critical you were. Now I have a much more disciplined and detail oriented mindset towards the next project. Thank you for the inspiration.
i actually liked the sound of the cheap one 😂
Yeah, it was nice
I have the cheap one from wish store .sounds good
Why you put tape??
@@juan-ksporty7348 so the air doesn't escape
wow, the tone between the mid-level and the cheap dizi is so different. maybe not noticeable to beginners but those with a few years of musical experience will definitely notice. it also seems like techniques such as flutter and double-tongueing wouldn’t be produced as clearly on the cheap one. super helpful video!
Thank you so much for this video :D! You are wonderful!
Cool. thanks man. love the flute/dizi.
I have the big one DIZI , so I try my best to learn on it , I like and love the sound of the Chinese Flute
I just got mine from Hong Kong China and I think the blow hole is drilled off center a bit. it's hand carved, and I got it from family over seas. the little one works great, but the full size one makes noise but not unless you hold it with both hands and at an angle.
the small one was 95¢ and the full size one was $11.95
great thank you very much!
Thank you.
You should put tape or membrane on all three in stead of one tape and two membrane when comparing.
Hihi I also like the cheap one better too thanks sharing dear👌👍😁❤
When you played the cheap one the second time, it sounds nice.
Thank you. Excellent . Just what I was looking for.
I think you must warm up your mid-level flute membrane first.. So it could sounds good. How you apply the membrane also affect the sounds of the flute
im buying the cheap one .🥰😍 you sound so good with it :P
Thank you 🥰
Great vid, I'm in the market
Damn the second dizi sound went straight to my heart. But is it just me or the tune is a little off.
Hi, so I was interested in your black flute and I would just like to ask if you could tell me who crafted it or where I could get one, that would be a huge help thx.
Actually from the two D key flute, the cheaper one has higher sound and sounds better tuned than the mid class D key flute.
Can you do a tutorial on how to play that song that you just played on the flute?
The huge one sounds much better IMO
Question:
Used to play a clarinet. Now, been thinking for a while to learn play this flute. Is it going to be a little easier to learn the lips position for this flute?
nope, clarinet is much more "brain free" because you really just blow into it (I am a clarinet and sax player too) and the flute requires a more indirect way of blowing, you have to "sharpen" your airflow to one point to make it sound, it's different but it won't be hard to learn for sure
Hello =) What was the the title of the song you played using the high-end DIzi (the longest one with a deep sound) Thanks
the 3rd one is the nicest flute...
Thank you for demonstrating the different tones of the flutes! If I may ask a question: is dizi easy for a Western flute player? I have been playing the Western flute for almost a decade, but I am not sure where to start in terms of the dizi.
I did a workshop recently and you can definitely adjust to it. It's similar to the difference to maybe a piccolo. I don't mean that it's the same kind of difference, but the difficulty level is about the same, so if your quick to adjust, you should be able to play well in about a week😁
I love the sound. Where can you get online classes with a tutor? Any suggestions?
The best way to learn a chinese instrument is to teach yourself
Whats the difference in price between the three? Is the mid range harder to play? So less buzz without the membrane it seems. I love the A key dizi but my hands are tiny so probably can’t cover the holes.
Hey. What site did you get the black dizi from? and can you give me a link please?
what song did you play on the cheap dizi
Did I make a bad decision of buying from wish app or choosing a c key and I hope a learn how to play since I started out playing hulusi and the bawu and I noticed dizi is very hard to learn or master but I won't give up
The first one you played what is is called and where did you get it?
Please, Can you tell me about the scale of those flutes?
Um hello do you think i can play this even i did not learn about this in school and not chinese???
Hey one question, does the fingering match the c key recorder? Like covering 1 key equals to B on recorder?
What are the measurements for the small and medium flutes
Really doesn't seem a fair comparison with tape used on the first one. The tape will make a huge difference on sound quality and won't give you the lively and distinctive buzz behind the notes.
Do you think a dizi for cosplay would still work good
Hi, i have a question, i wanna learn to play this intrument, but i don't know in what "scale". I really love the sound but as i said i'm insecure about buying one, can you give me people some advices?
The scale is up tu which songs you would like to play. Are the in G or C or a nother Key.
I have long and skinny fingers an i am adult, witch key should i buy?
When you ve spent 320€ on getting a medium-level guitar, then compared to it, 150€ isn't much to pay for a professional level Dizi instrument (Sound of Mountain). The way i view it, coming from some years of guitar playing. What are your thoughts on this view?
I know I am bumping a 5 year old comment but here is my take on it:
A mid range guitar would be equal to a set multiple keyed Dizi if you are going to be able to play together with other instruments and to be able to play songs in all keys without being too limited.
I just started out but as far as I have researched you will most likely need more than one if you are going to be playing a lot, but a single one can be perfect for learning to play the instrument but can be limiting.
Buying a $150 Dizi is a perfectly reasonable thing to do if you are serious about playing, but you will most likely need a couple of more in different keys.
I still struggle to get sound so take my view with a grain of salt.
Where can i find a hand-made dizi online?
what chinese brands you recommend eason? or another one
The first song was Chinese twilight
Hey I just bought a dizi in whim, without knowing anything about the keys and stuff, it was in E. Ive never heard u mention E at all, is that an advanced thing? Im a beginner and im starting to wonder E is not really the best one for amateurs like me... help!
E key dizi are the most used key in Chinese dizi solo music.
Where can I buy the black one???
Personally I love my little dizi, I'm terrible but learning slowly.
I've noticed I can actually tape the blow hole and blow into the membrane hole and get a lot lower tone ? Is the dizi ever used this way ?
Could you please tell me some classic soft songs and where to get the music sheets .

LT_tec Well their flutes are pretty ok, but the support isnt answering always, and the shipping takes a lot time, 4 weeks atleast.
ok
What did you choose for shipping? did you use your post office or via courier like UPS or FedEx?
Idk my parents bought it
what key of that black dizi ?
D key
What key is the cheap one? Thanks
sheennah reyes He said D
Should I start with G key
a D or C is better, G is kinda small
+Chiinnature The orchestra members told me that they rarely use D key flute, mostly G key
whitch is the best key to start at the beginning of playing this flute?
+Stiven Vukcaj buy a dizi, around 20 bucks range on amazon maybe, and make sure you buy from sellers that are music stores. Then use a piece of transparent tape (thin tape) to tape up the membrane hole, and start learning how to play a sound. When you can do it, everything will come along as you goof around! :) I suggest a C or D key as a start
+Chiinnature Thx dude you helped me a lot ! I always wanted to learn to play this flute!
+Stiven Vukcaj if you bought the flute, just contact me anytime by email and ask me, I will guide you thru the self-taught stuff! :) makjosi@chiinnature.com save you all the hassle from bumping around!
+Chiinnature why would you put tape on it? and what's a b c d???? please someone helppppp! I really want to play this instrument
+SunKissedTaeTae
maybe you should study music before you buy it because you won't understand anything. or get a teacher. recommend to try piano first or something.
B C and D are notes, and for bamboo flutes they are keys. It mean the range of notes it can play. The tape is a special membrane that makes the sound as beautiful as it is, without it it sounds dull, like you can clearly hear in the video.
If you have no music experience please listen to him and by the cheapest one and play around with it. Don't buy some expensive beautiful instrument if you don't know about music..
ai time to find a local canadian dizi in ny 💔💔💔💔
What key of dizi has the deepest sound?
Bass A key in this video.
Oh…mine…..cheap one does sound much better.
how many bamboo are there in Chinese to make the dizi ?
The cheap flute sounds clearer
what is the key for the biggest flute?
Bass A key
