I've been dreaming of learning how to play dizi for soooooo long, but where I live is hard to find someone to teach me, even hard to find the instrument. I love dizi so much, such a playful and beautiful sound. I hope one day I can finally learn 🥺
I play the Western silver flute and have been fascinated by dizi and xiao flutes for several years now! I really enjoyed learning about the different techniques used in dizi playing in this video.

You are all so adorable and dedicated. I love this channel. These videos bring a great sense of peace. I have a g key xiao that I have been learning, and I love it so much. It is interesting to see the different styles of dizi. The xindi has such a lovely mysterious sound. Like an eagle soaring through a misty forest. Some similarities in the sound to a xiao, but the sound feels so much richer. I was reading that xindi have 11 holes as opposed to 6. A Picture of Bamboo and Stone seems like such a beautiful piece. You play with so much skill and spirit. I wonder if there is anyway to play that piece with the xiao. Those semitones seem difficult. I will be searching for jian pu notation

This is very useful information that I need to know about Chinese traditional music instrument. I fall in love with the unique sound of those instruments. I had Erhu & cheap Dizi at home but I can't play it properly because I learn to play it by my self. I hope you guys could make more for this kinda video to encourage people to choose & pick up this ancient Chinese music instruments, because we are running out of time & racing with the Technology so called VST. I bet you guys knew what Ample Sound producing.

I am an upper intermediate recorder player, and I would love to play dizi, too. I found Eason music out of Singapore, and think I will give them a try
first you gotta learn how to stick the membrane first if not you wouldn't get the dizi sound
