This show was gold. Nothing like it on TV in 2022. Ed O'Neil had the best comic timing of any actor I can think of. It's criminal that he didn't win an Emmy for his part in this show.
Then that is Ed O'Neill not winning it for being Al Bundy, as well as Jason Alexander never winning an Emmy for playing George Costanza on "Seinfeld". The Emmys are a farce.

What I have always loved about the bundy family is they will make fun of and insult eachother but never hesitated for a second to throw hands for eachother which shows just how much love they had for their family
I believe Ed O'Neill has said he found his way into the Al Bundy character by basing him on an uncle of his back in Ohio. Whatever it was he brought Al Bundy to life and created a truly iconic television character!!
The other actors auditioning were all doing angry Jackie Gleason in Honeymooners type impressions as their interpretation of Al, which wasn't right 4 the character! Ed explains it in this clip: ''Ed O'Neill Reveals How He Landed the Role of Al Bundy on Married with Children | The Rich Eisen Show.''
Marcy "Why must you always be so negative?" Al "Why did you cross the road?" Peggy "Who would you rather spend the night with?A) Your wife or B)" AL "B" Al "Ah Peg, would it really make you feel better if I told you I needed you?" Yea theyd really never made it through sanford and son or the jeffersons or all in the family days for sure!😂
B3st ^^
It's also reality for some people. The creator said he wanted to portray super dysfunctional families that weren't being represented in sitcoms already.
Shows like this & The Wonder Years Brings back a lot of memories from Junior high school lol good times
Damn I miss this show. Al's brutal humor is what the world needs now
Too many snowflakes would complain.
@@999Patriots fuck 'em, all the damn snowflakes can go be offended together in their own little country, can even call it Snowflakia so they know where to go, lol
Al Bundy is too good for this world...
@@999Patriots there’s always an audience
This was one of the funniest shows ever 😂 🤣
I laughed from the beginning to the end. How can someone not love this?
Because "someone" is fat and "body positive" xD
@@adam-xt8te what
Simple. They're part of this younger generation that's softer than a marshmallow.
@@thesecdef4865 they couldn't make a good show like this even if they tried now. Something about show's and movies from late 80s and early 90s just had a different feel
The funniest American sitcom ever. Al bundy is the stuff of legend
“1, 2 , 3, 4… you’re gonna fall through the floor!” Wasn’t that funny though
@azart61 it was kind of cheap, honestly
So glad I was able to watch... Nowadays this wouldn't be allowed anymore. We need more Al Bundys in this world.. This is a classic
Doing my best...every chance I get!
My Dad and I never really got along much. I was 19 in 1989 and I remember him laughing his ass off to this show. I would go sit down, and we'd both laugh our asses off.
Now THAT'S a Great memory! 😉👍
How we need shows like this (that, sadly, could not be made today). Ed's facial expressions when delivering most of his zingers was 2/3 of the fun! Brilliant writing and brilliant delivery by all members of the cast.
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
Why would you think that this show couldn't be made today
This show had some of the best one liners! My siblings and I were helpless with laughter watching this as kids.
Al Bundy....the Chuck Norris of anti feminism.
Petey Pete Al Bundy: The Bruce Lee Of Shade.
Hate to be “that guy” but not really. Al loves strong women or he wouldn’t be with Peg. He just doesn’t like pretenders/fakers (fat people claiming they’re skinny, Marcy mimicking male behavior to succeed in her job etc.).
@@magicmulder
A Oprah/bon-bon/shopping channel addicted donothing leach is considered a "strong woman" these days??
@@Nightdare Well who wears the pants in the Bundy house? Certainly not Al.
@@magicmulder
Still doesn't make Peggy a "strong woman"
"It's not the dress that makes you look fat, it's the fat." Haha classic Al. Dude was the best.
Cruel...😂
"Congratulations Marcy, I didn't know you were expecting." OUTRAGEOUS!!! 🙂
"Well I'd say it behind your back but my car's only got a half tank of gas" Yep, I miss this show.
Classic 👍
Love the one. Put a bag over ski mask. Lol😂
omg thank you. I'm not native english & that line went to fast to comprehend.
Haven't laughed so hard since .. well.. this show was on ^^
well take a gander in the seat next to you if you wanna see what your future looks like
I also liked the 1 that goes like this:
(Lady) "And where do you think you're going?? Aren't you open??"
(Al) "Sorry, Ma'am, but unlike your mouth, we occasionally close."
This was as close to Rated R as you could get for a sitcom in my opinion and it is definitely one of my favorite sitcoms of all time.
If they were to make this show into a movie then it would definitely be a hard R
The rated R version of this was played by Rodney dangerfield in the movie Natural Born Killers...
wtf? At most "PG".. You could see naked BUTTS AND BOOBIES in movies with PG and cuss. THis was more along the lines of BoomerHumor comedy, during the repressed conservative age. Was easier to get away with offending jokes, racism, etc.
"R" was for mainly over the top violence/blood and some sex scenes.
"R" sitcoms were more on cable TV, which was rated (MA)'ture at least.
@@Fingerling2012 You clearly got no idea, there is no where near an R rating.
@@ntal5859 and you clearly never watched the show, you're just going off these clips I've grown up with this show and seen every episode so do your research on it before opening your mouth
To this day, Al can make me laugh out loud.
Please bring this back with no holds barred. Married with Grandchildren!
"Did you miss me?"
"With every bullet so far"😂
That was my fave one
Lol I died laughing
These never get old
Al .. what’s that toilet have that I don’t? A job ! 😂😂😂😂
I remember the one he told Peg "either feed me or eat me I just wanna be part of the food chain'.
Love that Jefferson is always cracking up in the background when Al insults Marcie
"Well I'd say it behind your back, but my car's only got half a tank of gas!" 😂😂😂😂
Just seeing Al Bundy in the scene. You just knew he was gonna pull out a legendary one liner. As the show ages it just gets better and better.
I love how Marcy's husband even laughs at the jokes about his wife
Three is in love everyone 💕 congratulations Three 👏 💖 ❤ 💕 💓 💗
Will Smith could learn a lot from that...
He and al were buddies.
@@Palmolive360 Lmao Karsten 😂
I never really thought about it but no wonder im such a hearless ass. i remember most of this show from early childhood
The dad I always wanted.
We love you Al!!
The absolute greatest!
Let me help you out son, I don't care now get out.
This show was gold. Nothing like it on TV in 2022. Ed O'Neil had the best comic timing of any actor I can think of. It's criminal that he didn't win an Emmy for his part in this show.
Omg I cant believe this show never won an Emmy. 😮
Ask the PC culture I am sure they have a good reason.
Then that is Ed O'Neill not winning it for being Al Bundy, as well as Jason Alexander never winning an Emmy for playing George Costanza on "Seinfeld".
The Emmys are a farce.
When Jefferson hit mwc ratings skyrocket David garrison sucked boring bland actor glad Ron Michaels didn't cast him anymore
@@dozer6448 I loved how Jefferson laughed at Al's jokes against Marcy, only for him to stop when Marcy turned around.
Mr Alphonse Bundy: The Man. The Myth. The Legend. We need his words of wisdom more now than ever before!
Today Al Bundy would face lawsuits from every "alternative" organization in this country! God how we need him now!!!
They'll never make shows like this anymore sadly.
soulfreaz only cause they ain’t got the balls to do so. It’s sad. This show ruled.
thank god for youtube
soulfreaz WB Network tried it with Unhappily Ever After. A poor man’s Married With Children. I will say this... Nikki Cox (what a porn name huh?) made Christina Applegate look like Blossom.
soulfreaz it will
Y'all should try Cobra Kai. Johnny Lawrence is no Al Bundy, but he is savage and hates every thing pc
What I have always loved about the bundy family is they will make fun of and insult eachother but never hesitated for a second to throw hands for eachother which shows just how much love they had for their family
EXACTLY!!!
Kind of like the United States. We just need a common enemy. Unfortunately that is the politicians and we do not even see it.
💯
Facts especially Kelly and Bud.
Facts 😂
One of the best shows ever, they will never make shows like this ever again
I believe Ed O'Neill has said he found his way into the Al Bundy character by basing him on an uncle of his back in Ohio. Whatever it was he brought Al Bundy to life and created a truly iconic television character!!
The other actors auditioning were all doing angry Jackie Gleason in Honeymooners type impressions as their interpretation of Al, which wasn't right 4 the character! Ed explains it in this clip:
''Ed O'Neill Reveals How He Landed the Role of Al Bundy on Married with Children | The Rich Eisen Show.''
Marcy "Why must you always be so negative?"
Al "Why did you cross the road?"
Peggy "Who would you rather spend the night with?A) Your wife or B)"
AL "B"
Al "Ah Peg, would it really make you feel better if I told you I needed you?"
Peggy "Yes it would"
Al "Ahahaha"
Absolutely hilarious moments. Al portrayed the life's loser, yet everyone who watched him cheered for him louder than anything in the WWE and he didn't care who he insulted.
I miss this show! One classic line after another. Pure gold! 👍😎🇦🇺
The absolute best of its time. Still enjoy watching all the reruns. This series lives on forever
I am proud to say I watch Al before work every day- reminds me of when sitcoms used to matter
Al Bundy, Fred Sanford, Archie Bunker and George Jefferson... my favorites growing up 😂
Don't forget Night Court?! They had humor and I enjoyed watching Dan always looking for action. He was funny and smooth...🤣👍
If those four crossed over in a show, it would offensive and funny. We’d all be laughing so hard.
@@JoMagic-ny8zu Dan was my favourite. He makes the list.
@Pastor Craig JJ wasn’t really offensive when compared to Al, Fred, Archie, George and even Dan.
I'm a 90s kid so I have Red Foreman and Uncle Phil on my list
I always loved how Jefferson laughed behind Marcy's back. I liked his and Al's chemistry more, they felt like buddies.
They tried to make Steve cooler towards the end of his run.
@@thegrimmretails3777 Which I think was pointless. Al had a better dynamic with Jefferson but that doesn't mean Steven was bad by any means. He was fine the way he was written and he had his own unique appeal, like every character in this show.
Jefferson was just there for her money 😂
@@datsapaddlin Gender reverseal. That actually sounds very progressive.
OMG, I am crying from laughing so hard!! He is brilliant! His timing and delivery are impeccable!! Not only is he naturally funny, he is also a classically trained actor who was on Broadway!!

Jefferson dying laughing every time Al roasts Marcy gets me every time
"Hey, did you miss me?"

Ill never stop missing this show. This has been my go to whenever im depressed. Me and my dad would laugh at this all the time. After he passed it became my gateway to remembering him.
Ive got nearly every episode on VHS from recording at home, and the whole DVD box Set. This show could never be made today
But id give anything to see it just a few more episodes
