Like how people think the idea of a selfie is weird, while admiring portraits of famous people. The only difference has been the level of accessibility of being that "portrait" has become my accessible. Those famous people paid famous artists do it it, now I have an app that puts my face on those types of images.

There are 'comedians' whom I really like to hear talk, Carlin is one of them. He did comedy in it's purest form. I just hoped people would not be so fucking blind to the information available nowadays. So much stuff available and yet most of us learn from the shittiest stuff. Instead of watching news I'd rather watch this, old school music, other type of information channels, mostly related to philosophy, life and nature/animals, and the feeling is hard to explain: you kinda feel more at peace with yourself and feel better, while most look at you crazy for being different. If you feel you got the 'intelligence' and determination for it, search for knowledge. Being open minded and searching for your own path and knowledge is against most of today's societies.

Smartphones at least serve a purpose beyond just recording. I could definitely see him complaining about the pervasiveness of modern technology but I doubt he'd put smartphones on the same level as fucking camcorders. I don't know how he'd feel about Snapchat. On the one hand the pic disappears after you view it so it's very in-the-moment, and it's primarily used for sexting so I doubt he'd have a problem with that. On the other hand, it sort of adds to the shortening attention span of modern times. I think he'd be more likely to make fun of Instagram, which has essentially become the new way of taking pictures of anything and everything.

Almost like we aren’t special and every generation places blame on the two generations before it. Do the best they can and then eventually they will be the generation being told they didn’t do enough. Especially since every generation has had better medical advancements than the ones before it causing them to stay in the workforce longer. As we begin to live longer we also work longer careers, so people aren’t retiring and “getting out of the way “ for the generation below them to ascend as high as they did until later in their respective careers. It’s happened long enough now for where there’s natural order of when people enter and leave the workforce has skipped a beat and there is a log jam at the top.

Some of his jokes give pleasure, since they express our own hidden indignation. His opinion about elections is really ignorant though. If less people vote, that would lead a country toward less freedom.

in my estimation of the landscape of the current cultural perversions, the inability to laugh at ourselves and not become such crybabies over offense that I cannot fathom being of a genuine catastrophy in the daily lives of those who seem to dwell in hypocritical self-righteous via offense and oppression that are not the tragic hell that would warrant the pathetic responses from such people with so much. Everyone can be a victim and everyone is oppressed in some areas of life. In the past you'd either accept this and find your way in spite of this and triumph where you can rather than cry about your damn limitations. There's almost no limitation so great as the ones people impose upon themselves . The delusional culture of all winners and equality is perverse and arrogant beyond belief. If I were raised today I might be so deluded as to believe the NBA was waiting and if I didn't get it it was the fault of others. would I be right? Yes and no, yes because of the lies spewed from adults telling me how great I was at something that I truly exhibit 0 skill or talent in. No because I do believe at some point I should've realized that even though the adults weren't keeping score, which is a lie, that the kids and my peers certainly were. that's the role of comedians, to point out the truly abhorrent nature of our limitations and inherent stupidity without causing sissies to cry and whine, to be the exposers of the truth that is known to all and uttered by few. Without humor we can avoid the truths that are silently known but rarely uttered due to cowardice or fear or resentment. Stereotypes are not racist, the truth is not our enemy, and our failures and even our delusions are just hysterical if we don't take stupid shit so seriously . the west isn't laughing much these days it would seem. to read PC articles condemning comedians to be chastised for not being sensitive is fucked. The jesters in history were above contempt, to see a comedian that's both PC and funny is the antithesis of humor and they will never be great. Trump jokes aren't funny anymore but their PC. White jokes used to be fine but now it's as if all other people are off limits to poke fun at. That's pathetically unfunny. equality eh? how about nothing in jest being off limits with exception of calls to violence and mayhem? This attack on freedom of speech is far worse than we might know if comedians are being deplatformed we are all at seriously great risk of tyranny
