It's always funny going back and forth between episodes, where Tapcat and Syken are both wanting to make contact with regions in opposite directions for separate reasons. The struggle between getting access to a facility or unlocking a continent bonus. Great run so far!
*On the way to the mission in the Skyranger* Marina: 😮💨 Ross: "Whats wrong Marina?" Marina: "We keep having to fight The Lost, its hard to get hyped about these missions, how do Reapers deal with it?" Ross: "Mostly by tricking them into attacking Advent." Marina: "No I mean the lack of enthusiasm?" Ross: "Well usually someone with say something inspiring before a mission" Marina: "Like what?" *Ross looks around seeing the look of fatigue on everyone's face* Ross: "Something like this-" *Ross stands up* Ross: "Attention gentleman, and Marina-" Marina: 😁 *The squad sits up and gives Ross their full attention* Ross: "We’re all very different people. We’re not Watusi. We’re not Spartans. We’re XCOM, with a capital ‘X’, you know what that means? Do ya? That means that our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world. We are the wretched refuse. We’re the underdog. We’re mutts! Here’s proof-" *Rubs XQS6's nose* XQS6: 😵💫 Ross: "His nose is cold-" Marina: "-What does that have to do with-" *Ross continues* Ross: "-But there’s no animal that’s more faithful, that’s more loyal, more loveable than the mutt." XQS6: "I don't get it?" Marina: "He means we are all different, right?" Ross: "Yes, we're all very different but there is one thing that we all have in common: we were all stupid enough to enlist in the XCOM. We’re mutants. There’s something wrong with us, something very, very wrong with us. Something seriously wrong with us - we’re soldiers. But we’re XCOM soldiers!" XQS6: "Ross is right, we are XCOM, the enemy should fear us!" Marina: "YAY!" 😄 *The squad stands and cheers while the Skyranger door opens* Ross: "Now do what I do, and say what I say. And make me proud!"💪 I always find that Advent can find the Reaper a little too easily when you go back into shadow, makes you wonder 🤔
MEC is the one that unlocks bluescreen, but Muton also unlocks advanced grenade launcher, which is not dependent on proving grounds so there is at least a half-step upgrade from it.
Looks like the gods have relented somewhat; that struck me as being the most TapCat friendly mission I've seen on this campaign. Well done and good vid
I agree. It wasn't like it was easy, but it felt like it was more possible to manage the encounter even though all of the enemies were pretty well stacked on top of each other. We also had a bit of luck that they stopped firing at the device after a certain point.
I was almost certain that it would work, but appreciate you confirming. As it turned out, moving there would have been disastrous once I decided to use a grenade so it was a non-issue for this mission.
I remember yesterday I was doing the Black site mission and I had a Reaper scout out a pack of 3 and I had my sniper shoot at the pack from squadsight... And guess what. The first advent "accidentally" walked 3 tiles away from my Reaper and didn't reveal. Then the second advent walked 2 tiles away and didn't reveal. Third guy finally walked right next to and revealed my Reaper. This was in the OPPOSITE direction of where my squad was in a place where there's just no way they would know... But the games know 😂
FINALLY I have some time to go back and catch up. (Had to make corrections on my book.) A fun mission, but... Man, you really screwed over that sniper. Not the best of placements, was it? :) I am wondering, would it have gone smoother had you drawn him further down towards the centre of the bridge He would have had an ideal vantage point and, with bracing, could have made things easier. (Still, the Lost actually helped you here, the drew a lot of ADVENT fire away from you and the gizmo.)
Let's be honest TapCat, this series is now XCOM 2: War of the Lost; featuring special guests ADVENT and The Chosen.
Go get 'em Commander!
True
Maybe its time to make the lost beacon!
Hmm, better late than never I suppose. ;)
I love this game its so much fun playing, but for some reason I love watching Tapcat playing it even more.

At least the chosen decided to stay home on this one 😀
I'm grateful for that. This mission would have been a whole different experience if the Warlock had showed up.

Funny how tapcat and syken prioritise things differently. That way each episode is unpredictable!
RNGesus blessed you today, Tap
My ritual sacrifices are finally paying off!
The seventh season of Lost is quite different than the show I remember.😂
Where are Jack and Kate when we need them?

Good call, I forgot all about the grenade launcher.

TapCat is a G
Imagine TapCat playing a mission without the lost lol, the game is really trying to make you suffer
Who would have imagined such a thing could even happen?!?
TapCat has reached the level of Scholar when it comes to The Lost.
And I got my degree from the school of hard knocks!
You can make headshot with Run and Gun unless one of the mods have changed it.

*37 Lost come into the fray.
Tapcat: "I'm not worried about them".
What a Legend.
