The cool thing about the Arashi rifle is that it has a longer range than other shotguns which makes it aim better in medium range situations. It can actually hit sometimes while in overwatch!
That last one was a Fanatic Crusader, a priest variant added by a mod (others being Inquisitor and Bishop). Not all of them actually have Stasis, I believe only the Bishops do. Crusaders might actually explode on death, so you gotta be careful when killing them!
@@TapCat I mean, either way, it does increase the chance as you're essetially "rolling" twice for it, so even if it's unlikely you'll get 2 guys on 1 mission you might still have a better chance at getting 1 guy. Either way, it's close to the end of the campaign so it's not that useful, but hey, can't complain either. And if it ever happens that'll be cool. I assume that can't occur on the final mission, can it? That'd be epic, even if it's ulikely...
It's always nice to have choice at end of mission whether to run or attack. You could say that this was the benefit derived from the successful attack on all the stacked up pods at mission start. Good vid
Roller coaster of emotions at the start to see if you were going to rush in. It would have been sadly hilarious if you had and triggered those 3 pods. Then you obliterated two at once instead. Very nice.

I'm at 7 turns missing and the cell and tthe escape at both at sight, no more than 2 turns away. 9 enemies killed out of 12, only 1 Pod of 3 left. Damn well played sir. It's not over, some bullcrap can still happen, but I just wanted to say: Triggering the 5 man pod was the right call imo, especially with that grenade. The hack was in my mind during all the fight of the second pod and I was afraid you wouldn't remember it but you did and it saved that round. Yeah, one guy got wounded but an andromedon prime will do that to you, and it could have been so much worse... In general the whole mission so far was *Chef's kiss*.
Thank you, I was prettyy happy with how those encounters played out. Don't know if I could have found a way to avoid the damage from the prime but as I mentioned in the video I was mostly just relieved that it was the lowest ranking soldier who took any damage. Our issue is always finding enough captains and higher to bring on missions and keeping all of them healthy was fantastic as was getting 2 of them promoted to major.
Not gonna lie, on that last pod I'd have just ran away, but hey, it's XP, can't fault you for that. And, anyway, you got it. That's what matters. But, man if they had ignored the beacon or some other bullshit like that you know that would sour the taste of the whole mission...
Don't know what mod does this but TBF, yeah, if the Aliens can use portals why not use them to move your troops around? Better than ships which have a longer response-time...
I can say this pretty confidently now. 1. Skyken is a bit better at the game and 3. Tapcat is WAY more entertaining and obviously still a boss on the squares
Getting enough intel can be hard, but it get easier next time you play because you will know that you have to prioritise getting it. Building radio towers can also help a lot.
It sucks to lose a campaign, but as sortehuse points out there's a good opportunity to learn from it. This campaign is a bit different because I'm only controlling the scanning half the time, but I'm generally pretty relentless about limiting my scanning for intel, building radio towers, and making contact. I try to limit my time on the various other scanning missions to things that are really critical for us to get... otherwise, I just stick to my main goal of expanding on the map.
Gotta admit that was a grenadier's dream come true, that said the andromedon prime is a really nasty one i'll go as far as to say i believe he's worse than the gatekeeper prime. Now that i think about it as the time for the last mission is coming closer and closer i can't help but wonder how are you planning on playing it? One does the Advent tower while the other does the other mission? Division of the very last one between the two of you or rather each one plays their own ending?
The breakdown will be Syken on the radio tower, I play the 1st half of the finale, and then he'll clear the final room. One thing that was important to me from the time we decided that I'd play the first mission, was that he should play the last part because those are the two biggest moments of the campaign and it's only right to share them equally.
@@TapCat I really liked the format of the series, it makes me wonder whether the developers would find a way to handle a multiplayer experience for their games in the future

I also really like it 🙂 ... but the sword just cut though armour and that's even cooler 😎
It is indeed an upgrade, I just find it underwhelming compared to how huge an improvement the Hunter's rifle or the katana are.
Seeing the priest get capped on the very last action of the mission was immensely satisfying 😊
Agreed!

Yikes!
Volunteer Army and the continent bonus are separate bonuses. You could end up with 2 extra soldiers on a mission!
That would be pretty wild if it ever happens!

I agree, sometimes you just want to get out while you can and other times it's good to get the xp.
I did think you’d gone a little poker happy triggering that bunch of 5.
I knew it!!!
Second I love this series you and syken are great
Thanks for the kind words!
You are welcome mr.tapcat oh can't forget rey he gives good advice

That would have made me a sad panda!
Yep. you have time, which was well earned from all the swift killing you did this mission. Use it. No need to rush forward.
Having watched the way Syken plays, I think there is a chance that he just go for the Codex Brain Coordinates story mission.
I have the benefit of knowing the future in this instance but won't spoil anything... tune in to Syken tomorrow to find out!

I agree on all counts!
Feels kind of bull that the Andro Prime just took shots while standing out in the open like that instead of moving to cover.
