    XCOM® 2: War of the Chosen, is the expansion to the 2016 award-winning strategy game of the year.
    XCOM® 2: War of the Chosen adds extensive new content in the fight against ADVENT when additional resistance factions form in order to eliminate the alien threat on Earth. In response, a new enemy, known as the “Chosen,” emerges with one goal: recapture the Commander. This expansion includes new Hero classes to counter the “Chosen”, new enemies, missions, environments and increased depth in strategic gameplay.
    NEW FACTIONS & HERO CLASSES
    Three additional factions have emerged to strengthen Earth's resistance - the Reapers, Skirmishers and Templars - each with its own unique abilities and contrasting philosophies. These factions provide powerful hero class soldiers to aid in missions and new opportunities for the strategy layer.
    THE CHOSEN
    The Chosen are the most cunning enemies XCOM has ever faced, each with unique strengths and weaknesses that will be introduced with each new campaign. The Chosen are on the hunt for the Commander and will kidnap, interrogate, and kill XCOM’s soldiers to complete their objective. The Chosen can also invade the strategy layer and ravage XCOM’s global operations. Find and raid the Chosen’s strongholds to defeat the enemy for good.
    NEW ALIEN & ADVENT THREATS
    A deadly new alien known as the Spectre, capable of creating dark copies of XCOM soldiers, has snuck onto the battlefield. Adopt new tactics to counter it as well as the explosive attacks of the ADVENT Purifier and the psionically charged ADVENT Priest.
    NEW ENVIRONMENTS AND MISSION OBJECTIVES
    Engage in tactical missions across new environments from abandoned cities devastated by alien bioweapons during the original invasion, to underground tunnels and xenoformed wilderness regions.
    ENHANCED STRATEGY LAYER
    Manage XCOM’s relations with factions and counter The Chosen’s operations from the Avenger. Employ new Resistance Orders to prioritize your personal strategy. Soldiers, scientists, and engineers can now be deployed for Covert Actions that award supplies and boost faction favor if successfully completed.
    GREATER CUSTOMIZATION & REPLAYABILITY
    Soldiers can develop bonds with compatible teammates for new abilities and perks. The SITREP system dynamically adds new modifiers to the tactical layer to make sure every mission provides a unique challenge. Advanced campaign options allow for finer adjustments to game length and difficulty.
    CHALLENGE MODE
    Utilize the perfect strategy in new regular one-shot community challenges to claim the top spot on the global leaderboard.
    SHARE THE RESISTANCE
    Customize and pose your soldiers, then add filters, text and backgrounds to generate your own unique resistance posters that appear in-game and can be shared with friends.
    XCOM 2: The Story So far - Earth has changed. Twenty years have passed since world leaders offered an unconditional surrender to alien forces. XCOM, the planet's last line of defense, was left decimated and scattered. Now, in XCOM 2, the aliens rule Earth, building shining cities that promise a brilliant future for humanity on the surface, while concealing a sinister agenda and eliminating all who dissent from their new order.
    Only those who live at the edges of the world have a margin of freedom. Here, a force gathers once again to stand up for humanity. Always on the run, and facing impossible odds, the remnant XCOM forces must find a way to ignite a global resistance, and eliminate the alien threat once and for all.

    If your soldier has a medkit, they are immune to the snake's venom, clustering two soldiers with medkits to provoke a snake works.

      I'm pretty sure that I either bought them after I stopped recording or mentioned it to Syken so he could buy them in the next episode.

    *On the Skyranger*
    Heather: "Hey Wei, how are you holding up"
    Wei: "Just a little scraped up, nothing a few days of rest won't cure"
    Heather: "That's good, you'll need to be rested for that date you have planned with Marina"
    *Wei looks at Heather wide eyed* 😮
    Wei: "How do you know about that?"
    Heather: "You forget, I'm married to Ross, there's not much I don't know."😁
    Wei: "Of course, hehehe"
    *Wei nervously chuckles*
    Heather: "I know you haven't asked her out yet"
    Wei: "Well it's just, we haven't been on any missions together lately and our schedules are sooo different and I'm always injured so-"
    Heather: "You'll have an opportunity when we land."
    Wei: "How do you know?" 🤨
    Heather: "Because she knows you'll be injured" 😅
    Wei: "No she doesn't-"
    Heather: "-If shes there then you have to ask her."
    Wei: "And what if she's not there?"
    Heather: "I'll give you my dessert for a month"
    *Wei looks a bit disgusted*
    Heather: "The XCOM issued one, not the Reaper one"
    Wei: "Alright your on."
    *Skyranger lands and we see Ross and Marina at the end of the landing pad*
    Ross: "See that limp, Wei is injured, you owe me a Viper corpse"
    Marina: "How did you know?"
    Ross: "A Reaper knows all" 😉
    Marina: "You an Heather planned this didn't you?"
    Ross: "I don't know what yiur talking about, now I will have dinner with my wife and you can escort Wei and the others to the Infirmary"
    Marina: "But-"
    Ross: "-Have fun filling out the paperwork"
    *Ross grabs Heather and runs*
    Ray brought up some great points about how cheap it is that our enemies get free actions and I 100% agree it feels very cheap, but hey we kept everyone alive so that's a win

    Do I have a fundamental misunderstanding of these missions? I always thought there was no timer until you marked the first crate or were revealed. Perhaps I have been mistaken! Either way, good work!

      no, you are right. No timer whatsoever until losing concealment.

    I know time is important in these missions and I get why you did what you did, but personally I'd have waited another turn before engaging that 1rst pod with the 2 mechs. Your soldiers just weren't well positioned and if you could put a few guys on overwatch and get revealed on their turn it would have been just a lot better, I suspect.

      The issue with waiting is that you can't get that turn back. And they'll keep marking crates deeper into the map. How many crates did I have to dash to for us to save them? All of those would have been lost. I totally agree that waiting would have been better for combat purposes. But I'd rather take a few wounds on this mission and fund my weapon upgrades for all of the future challenges.

    Hi TapCat enjoying the duo run, your both very good with slightly different styles. Quick question, have you run into any stability issues with all these mods. I just had a complete freeze after a certain soldier, no reloads or saving again before the bug have solved it so the run is probably ended. Cant remember having an issue like this before in over 3500 hrs in this game.

    I haven't played xcom but if I pick it up one day I'm finding a mod to turn lost off, these are a real slog (through no fault of your own). I felt the same way about the soulless in midnight suns, no difficulty or strategy just slow tedious churn
