The animations are great, I now feel like I have a chance of pulling this off!
Those animations though... top shelf!
Definitely great info to help people along, awesome stuff!!
Many thanks 🙏
Love it!
Gotta adjust the doors on my 63 nova sedan. Should I buy shims to make sure the gaps are even or just eyeball it? I have a tendency to over complicate things lol
What wrench do you use to adjust the door?
Hey man, my 66 coupe driver door has a little sag when it opens. About 3-5mm. When it hits the striker plate, it goes up just that little bit to sit perfectly. Perfectly straight lines. Is it worth bothering with or should I just let it be?
Umanng Mittal hey there! Ah yes the driver door! It depends on how much you drive it and plan to drive it in future. I cannot complain about the mod of beefing up the hinges...it’s worth it. I would say yours is beginning to wear for sure so it will only get worse. I would at least replace the bushings. But for me it’s one of those “while you are in there” things...if you are already taking the door off, might as well upgrade to a solid solution so you don’t have to go back in there.
Follow The Builds hehe yeah I know what you mean, I’m already in the middle of one of those ‘while I’m at it...’ projects!
butane is a bastard gas
Man this is great info. Any advice for my 65 driver door? Alignment seems ok, but I seem to be having trouble getting the door to CLOSE completely. It does latch, but it's a beyotch to get to lock. In fact, I can get the door to lock (technically) but it still opens right up. I feel like it didn't do this when I took delivery of the car a few months ago. Thanks in advance!!!
Ah that’s awesome! So the lock mechanism is separate than the latch system. You should try first some white lithium grease (sprayable) on the internals. If no progress from there then your lock rod is potentially off. Let me know!
