After Poogie is your friend (has hearts without having to pet him) carry him around and when your controller vibrates put him down. He'll dig up an item or new costumes. Costumes that I've gotten; near the big horn near the researchers, white flag next to the commander's table, and the green lamp in front of the harvest tree nearest to the stairs. Another costume, you must be a certain rank (HR 15+ I believe) go to the wooden lookout behind the workshop up the stairs. It didn't work for me until the leader guy wasn't standing there. (I know his name, but shhh spoilers) Edit: added last costume info.
Serris Yes there is. You must be a certain rank (HR 15+ I believe) go to the wooden lookout behind the workshop up the stairs. It didn't work for me until the leader guy wasn't standing there. (I know his name, but shhh spoilers)
He can also find you stuff around the hub. If he likes you enough, and you pick him up and walk around ,the controller will vibrate and he'll dig up an item for you
Most veteran hunters know that you only get elemental defense boosts if they add up to 10 or more in their stats. For example, if you have a set of armor that gives you -8 to Thunder, you're not actually weaker to Thunder until you put another piece of armor on that tips the scale to -10 or below. Same goes for being strong against things. You can be +9 to Fire but you still won't actually be stronger against fire unless you find a way to boost it up to 10. Also, as I said 10 or more, 10 gives you a small boost/weakness, 15 gives you a medium boost/weakness, 20+ gives you a strong boost/weakness.
The huge button said "Sell All", not Take All. The Take All button wasn't added until a later update iirc. (That, or it's PC exclusive. Not sure, I only play on PC.)
Jason Theobald You have to stop pretting him when the "!" appears over his head otherwise he gets upset and headbutts you. You'll know when you succeed because a bunch of hearts appear over his head.
Oh my goodness, even the low level new armor looks awesome. I can't bring myself to mix and match though. I'm gonna still build the entire set before I move on. It's much more important to look cool (I mean c'mon).
most early armours really don't look that cool. mixing and matchng for skills is way more important. given that each piece gives you a skill it'll be easy enough to match them aesthetically.
That's me in every single RPG making it extra hard because I always choose looks over stats. I'll try to do it differently this time (already know it won't happen)
Please let as many people you know about this, is fans lovingly call it the poogie sensor, you will definitely need it during hard monster battles you intend to farm for rare drops.
Mc Ketchupman actually it is... more than enough players have experienced this phenomena alomg with capcoms refusal to deny or comfirm leans heavily to my points favor, and i have seen it happen more often than not for me though i can only speak my for myself.
I have a few tips: No. 1 Always eat at the canteen No. 2 If you can, always capture the target monster. You get more rewards that just flat out killing it. (Note, some monsters cannot be captured such as elder dragons or select normal monsters) No. 3 After a hunt always empty out your inventory of unnecessary items No. 4 Don’t be afraid to use your SOS flare, you will need it eventually No. 5 Use the plunderblade! Once you get to their location you will see one and it will run off. Drop raw meat and step back as the cat examines the meat and then brings it’s friends. Once the other cats start dancing, approach the cat by the meat and you will go through a monologue then receive the plunderblade. This blade is not a weapon but a gadget that harvests things from the monster you are fighting like let’s say a Rathian. The plunderblade will activate and you may get a Rathian scale that you will obtain in the menu in the area where you claim things collected by palicos and tailriders. No. 6 Going along with number 1, always order a custom platter because there you can choose your buffs. For 2 of each ingredients like 2 meat you will get a small buff. Things such as poison or bleeding or being on fire or being frozen cannot be cured by these berries. No.10 Use botanical research to get more precious items like herbs or honey so you don’t have to adventure out for them. That’s it! Those are my tips, use them if you’re new to make your gameplay easier than mine when I was figuring all of this stuff out myself 😅
For the noobs only! Number one tip: When you enter a room full of people higher rank than you to get help, always ask if it is okay to post a quest. Don't just run up and butt in and post your quest. They're working on stuff you can't, and you might find yourself booted for rudeness. Number two, elemental damage. All monsters are usually weak to an element. If you are beating on one doing little damage, change your element. Fire weapons will only do raw on a rathalos, for example, because rathalos is fire, whereas dragon element weapons do raw plus element against him. Your armor should reflect the monster's element, and your weapon his weakness.
Pooftiger, i don't have the game yet (waiting for pc) but how do you find out the element of the monster? Are you simply looking at what the attacks look like (firebread for rathalos, lightning around the kirin,...) or is there something else to look for?
Tam Hawkins If you collect enough tracks, kill it, etc. you should eventually reach rank 2 with whatever monster you're fighting and it tells you what's most effective and what's weakest vs it
About the weapon choices; If you want, work on two weapon types at once. I run Dual Blades and the Lance. Two vastly different styles but I love them both. And they come in handy in different situations.
Another thing worth noting on riding the drake things with your rope; me and my mate were fighting the Paolumu (whatever its called) and just as he fleed, I rope swinged onto a drake and he chased and kept up with the Paolumu. I dont know if this was mere chance but got me to where he flew pretty fast, Worth checking out.
Poogie once his Affinity is high enough can also help you find items in town. If you're using controller with a rumble function it will vibrate in certain locations all you do is drop the pig and he will dig the item for you.
if you pet the pig enough (only counts 1 pet in between each quest) you can eventually use him to find items while carrying him around. Just walk and when you feel the controller vibrate set him down. You know he is friendly enough to do this when after petting him you get a huge heart pop up, also he will start meeting you immediately as you return to town from quests. There are at least 4 costumes for him you can find this way.
I am fairly new to the Monster Hunter World. But this game dazzled me - and as I was playing, never have I felt the excitement and sheer joy of exploring such a wide and diverse world with so many monsters to hunt. Also, the Palicos are adorable af. So is Poogie.
I don’t remember if they do it in this video but something I’ve been seeing too much of is when talking to new players, telling them the long sword is a great beginner weapon and not following up by warning them that it trips yours teammates constantly in multiplayer, just causes issues. It’s mechanics are simple but new players need to also know to hit an area of the monster with no other players around or they will do way more harm than good.
It depends on what your teamates have. Get a hammer, a long sword and good gunner and you don't need a fourth. But yeah, learn your friendly fire weapons and the moves that cause that, and save them for when the monster is isolated or when you're soloing. Every weapon can do maximum damage on certain parts. Hammer users get the head. Long sword gets tail. Also, lifepowder your rangers. They take a long time to put their weapon away, and it's a godsend for them. And always thank your Hunting horn user for the buffs.
Unfortunately nowadays everyone wants to hit the head whatever weapon you use. I cant blame them though making almost all the mosters' weakest part the head. I hate how they did this to the Diablos too. Diablos used to be tricky to hunt having its tail its weakest part but now you just smash its head over and over.
If you’re good enough friends with the Astera pig then you can carry him to specific spots around the hub and it will dig for items for you, even new outfits for him.
Here’s a really useful bit of knowledge: You can run up certain walls. If it has roots or flat stones lining it, take the time to sprint into it to see if you can run up it. This can help dodge attacks, mount monsters, access hidden places, and even execute special attacks. If you have a hammer and you can’t slide to do that awesome charged flipping attack, you can charge into one of these walls and you’ll flip off of it. Utilising these walls effectively can turn a dangerous situation into an opportunity to dish out heaps of damage.
A really weird one is that you can charge your shield with the Charge Blade. It's weird because it's a huge important part of using the weapon but the button combo doesn't appear in any of the command lists. If we're calling Triangle T and Circle O, here's what you do to charge your shield: Hit a monster with your sword to charge it. One of the fastest ways if the monster's standing still is to hold O until the hunter finishes what looks like an unsheathing motion, then let go. Regardless of how you do it, charge by hitting things with your sword until the vials under your health bar turn red. Hit R2+O to start charging phials but immediately hit T+O to cancel into your shield-punch move. Then hit T+O again to start the big axe smash but hit R2 to cancel into what I think the system calls Elemental Roundslash. Your shield is now charged. You can tell because the shield icon next to your phials is now purple. One of the great things about this is that if you fill your phials while your shield is charged this way and do your Augmented Elemental Discharge with the axe, it releases all the phials at once in a Super Augmented Elemental Discharge. As you might expect, it does a LOT of damage. Also, the charged shield deals damage to monsters just by blocking them! It's a really powerful thing to know, and I don't understand why this linchpin of high-level play isn't in the guide at all.
if you hold B or circle while gathering from a slain monster, mining node, or other resources that can be gathered from multiple times, you will gather it quicker than if you were to tap the button each time
Here’s a good tip for any Hunting Horn users: You can keep up to three melodies at a time when making buffs, but you can link these buffs together, let’s say one melody needs blue, green, yellow and another needs yellow, blue green, you can do blue, green, yellow, blue green and you’ll get to use the two without having to do yellow a second time. Also good to note is if you do a melody, but after you’re done playing, press the play melody button (R2 for PS4) immediately after the buff is applied, you’ll do the same three melodies you just did, except they stack with the one you have already; for example, if you do a melody for large defence and earplugs, then play the melody again, you’ll immediately have extra large defence and longer lasting earplugs and better yet, the second melody tune will play once and not two or three times, so it saves you a lot of time in a fight. Thought I’d help a few new Hunting Horn users out :)
a few quick questions1. Are there hunter arts and art styles like in mhgen?2.can you change armor color?3.can you change some of your characters appearance(like hair color/style) after making your character?
also when you mount monsters dont just tap trianlge or alternativr to xbox (idk what it is), it will tell you what to press in the top right conrer, move analog, hold r2, tap triangle, etc.
if you pick up poogie and walk with him at specific times or places your controller will vibrate. When it does put poogie down and he will dig up an item for you. ive had him dig up a large barrel bomb, a mega potion, and a wing for examples.
how about the fact that you can redirect your kinsect using R1 and triangle (in case of playstation) of your glaive as long as it's not marked, making it easier to for example reach the tail for that sweet hp extract (also in most cases you can go by this: tail hp, head red extract, chest or back orange, wings or other white, at least from my experience, but there are always exceptions of the rule, like seregios there the red extract is in the tail). Also... I'm pretty sure you can still bring the kinsect to do it's stronger attack by redirecting it 2 times after you did send it out or by holding r1 and the attackbutton you don't use to call it back
Not sure if this still applies in this MH title but: When carving a monster or gathering items crouch first and then gather/carve the items. This way it takes less time to do all the carves.
Most gathering now is instant besides carves and mining, i haven't played so I don't know if the crouch button still exists or if it's faster for carves still though
forgot you dont need to goto astera to re gear or change weapons go into your tend at any camp and you may switch and stock your gear all you like so you can keep on grindding till you feel like leaving
you should also own diff sets of armor as no one set can be the best and an armor set that is named after a specific monster is usually the best to take on that monster already if ur hunting only one monster however on expeditions or where ur hunting multiple monsters i see y u would put on multiple pieces from different sets as described in vid about getting diff buffs. but even mix and match armor sets wont be best over everything u will still need to switch it up from time to time. umm i just saw second half of vid cuz i watched first half earlier and i didnt know if that was addressed thats all
One tip you missed, when in the lower areas of the rotten vale, pick up slinger torches and fire them at the ground to give you an area you can fight in without worrying about the health drop for a limited time
You forgot to mention about the pig getting you to unlock more costume for him. Whenever you finish a quest you should alway go pet him do it 5 times and you can unlock his costumes. The way to get more costumes is to carry him and run around the place when you feel your controller vibrates just drop him down and it will look for the costume for you if your lucky that is because sometimes it will only find you items, but its a cool mini game you can do after finishing a quest~ ENJOY
o0rolyat0o He said that the game doesn't direct you to it. Like how in the beta the npc directs you to the map and tells you it's uses beyond just being a map.
Crimson_Tango i dont like this video. titlle is bait. i like a lot this game. is amazing . and is the most easy monster hunter i have ever seen. the MH 2dos of ps2 is much more dificult and not tell many others things.
o0rolyat0o He's saying the game does not tell you about finding the hunters notes and other useful info in the pause menu. Not that the game explains nothing
That piggy if you pet it and it shows pink harts that means it loves you so much that when you carry it around it will make the Xbox controller vibrate and you have to put him down and he will dig up an item. Works on PC with an Xbox one or Xbox360 controller
love this game played it all weekend. There was a hug learning curve. But once you get past that play with your friends, There isn't a better co-op experience out there right now IMO.
You didn't mention that once Poogie loves you enough you can carry him around Astera to find different items ranging from consumables, materials, and even different costumes for Poogie.
Is it true if you hit a shock trap with some kind of water ammunition like bullets, arrows, or puddle pods that it will create an area on the ground that shocks you or your enemies?
Im new to the game and its really overwhelming. Im still picking a weapon that i will enjoy using. Also for starting the game is it better to craft weapons and armors or better to buy it? How can i find a sidequest in the game? Do i go to my handler?
I don't know if it's the same in this one, but in Monster Hunter Unite, petting the pig actually increases your luck, so you should do it before every quest
Remember guys petting the pig and getting those hearts increases your luck for material drops in your next quests , back in the old games it was essential to do that when farming for something specific and low drop rate material
Ben Doverman well I have tested it back in the day as well numerous times because I used to mod my firmware on psp and I know plenty of people as well who did the same and when In a modded game we could see the luck increase every time by a certain percentage every time you would pet the pig
Ben Doverman well I don’t know how you tested it but like I said I used to mad and I had cold hard numbers on my screen telling me otherwise , do some more research and you will find that I’m not the only one who tested this
When you get the pig to dance with hearts after petting it carry it around and drop one place specifically is next to your handler pig can smell out and dig up a free food voucher for you
I know this is old but there's two kind of palico allies, one is what you said. The other one is the wild one, you can only find by talking to lynian researcher.
Petting your poogie is super important as it confuses the game's desire sensor and increasing your rare materials drop rate. I got 3 akantor gems from carving a deviljho's tail just to name an example.
Can someone plz explain to me how to use trade in items and how to move them from my item box to my items pouch I can't figure this out and it's really frustrating.
Is anyone else having issues being able to connect with friends on XB1? My buddy and I are on the same part of the story and have already encountered the monster but when we try to join each others quest it says that "you need progress further in the story". Any solutions? Is the matchmaking broken?
Christain King yes the matchmaking is broken they are aware of the problem and are trying to fix it. If he sends up an s.o.s you can respond to that, that part is working
More than likely there is a cut scene at the end of the quest that you/they need to watch, or your hunter rank is too low to join. Keep that in mind cuz I was having the same problems when I first started playing.
If the little poogie likes you a lot you can carry hin around and at some points it will get uneasy and the controller vibrates... at that point let it down... it will search the ground and dig you up an item once after every quest ... it will even come and greet you when you come back... happy hunting :)
I'm surprised there is anything they don't give you a tutorial for, I just started playing a couple days ago and the number of tutorials honestly about turned me off but once you get into the bulk of the game they aren't as bad, I'm used to games like the souls/Bourne games that tell you how to move and that's about it lol
can anybody tell me how durability works in this game? its the only thing stopping me from bying it until i know. plus can weapons break and once broken do they disappear?
Sharpness is likely what you mean no weapons do not break every weapon has a sharpness gauge that ranges from different colors red orange green blue whit and purple as you fight a monster this will go down and revert to a lower sharpness color certain parts of monsters can only be effectively attacked with high enough sharpness if your sharpness is too low you will bounce of and do very little damage sharpness can be restored by the use of whetstones which in world you have an infinite amount of
ty was worried about that because id rage if i bought a game where after red sharpness ur weapon broke and u lost it for good. but since u have told me and i found 1 post out of 100 web pages that confirm ur reply i will be buying the game now thanks you soooo much. btw the post said to think of dark souls for the durability type. were ur weapons sharpness goes down and u can improve with whetstones and if it breaks u can repair it at the blacksmith. please comfirm this broken/repair thing for me though please...
Yeah as far as i know weapons don't break and have never seen a repair option at the blacksmith either that being said i don't recommend letting your weapon drop to red it also lowers your damage remember sharpen often
Your weapons absolutely do not permanently go anywhere. They simply dull until you sharpen them in mission. Keep them sharp to do the most effective damage for that weapon. Breath of the Wild this is not :)
Most Veteran MH players (even me) do that when the monster they're hunting didn't drop the rare part that they want after carving it. Saves you of those consumable that you used during the fight
Looking forward to this fellow hunters ! I heard there isn't a G rank but they said they would be adding free dlc so I'm keeping optimistic May your hunting be smooth
I've remember when I was in the Wildspire Waste for the first time. The mission was to search Zorah Magdaros's tracks in order to find him. Then, a Rathian appeared, I've attacked before the game told me to use the sling, it was too late, I died, so I've started the mission all over again. Then, I've made it. But I've got killed by Barroth when I fought him for the first time. And I've stopped playing the game. Since I was scared about fighting Barroth with hand-to-hand weapons, I've decided to use the Bow for the first time and... I've made it! Damn it, I was just a total scrap in the game, until I've defeated a Black Diablos for the first time, all by myself. The only thing I hate is that they tell me the things too late. But it's also my fault, because I'm always in a hurry to act.

ShadowLynx777 Why is this not pinned?
ShadowLynx777 Thanks
Now this is something worth a video.
there's another costume on the lookout platform, go thru the smith and up the stairs all the way to the top
Serris
Yes there is. You must be a certain rank (HR 15+ I believe) go to the wooden lookout behind the workshop up the stairs. It didn't work for me until the leader guy wasn't standing there. (I know his name, but shhh spoilers)
The last one is most important
Sean Fisher he doesnt like me!!!! He head butts me. How come? Was I a pig in another life and banged his piggy wife?
Jason Theobald pet him when "!" Appears
if not crucial to my life
Lmao
He can also find you stuff around the hub. If he likes you enough, and you pick him up and walk around ,the controller will vibrate and he'll dig up an item for you

REALLY???
As someone new to the series this is super helpful info.
April Cherry Are you serious?
Well, yeah.
No it only applies to positive numbers, blights and the total damage taken on hit.
Does this apply to the earlier games?
The second he called the poogie "pig thing" I knew that this was his first monster hunter game lol
Arbo what about "hold down your A button" instead of using the huge "take all" button at quest end?
The huge button said "Sell All", not Take All. The Take All button wasn't added until a later update iirc. (That, or it's PC exclusive. Not sure, I only play on PC.)
it's my first mh game as well and i used to call him piggie xD
Insert Jame Franco's "First Time?" meme.
The pig is called a Poogie.
Donovan Soule His name is poogie.
usbdix dndjd no it's not... you give him a name.
He head butts me. Why? 😭😭😭😭
Jason Theobald You have to stop pretting him when the "!" appears over his head otherwise he gets upset and headbutts you. You'll know when you succeed because a bunch of hearts appear over his head.
Donovan Soule awesome thank you. This is the only reason I bought the game.😝

Evenmoresteven And this is why 'just cosmetics' arguments for lootboxes or microtransactions are flawed
Fashion Hunter
The last one regarding the poogie is the most important, getting full hearts while petting him before a quest increases rare loot drop rate.
Please let as many people you know about this, is fans lovingly call it the poogie sensor, you will definitely need it during hard monster battles you intend to farm for rare drops.
Bunnies XD That is actually not true
Mc Ketchupman actually it is... more than enough players have experienced this phenomena alomg with capcoms refusal to deny or comfirm leans heavily to my points favor, and i have seen it happen more often than not for me though i can only speak my for myself.
will try it out, thanks.
Noice, I'll make note of that once I get the game
Here’s a extra tip, if your not hunting the pickle lord and you see him....don’t mess with him.
Pickle Lord is in DLC right?
ChaosEater yup, coming spring
The wat?
Hadvid 1.0 Deviljo is the monster they are talking about. His chin looks like a pickle.
Jose Morin So he really is in the game? Damn I need to buy it

No. 1 Always eat at the canteen

Not true. Make a room and add need help to it and see how many vets show up.

lol “Pause menu”
Yeah, there's no pause menu.
ChaosRiotZero lol it’s a bit lame how we don’t get the pause button for offline play from the older games. The no pause makes it feel like MH1 tho

Number one should be that Monster Hunter is not a story driven game but a gameplay driven game with 999+ hours.
Monkey D. Luffy ive played for 300+hours

Antonio Pitts I've never seen anyone get tripped by the long sword and I've hit people and people have hit me man.
The piggy is actually a great tool to practice BBQ timing and carrying eggs
This has to be the longest day ever :(
sniperkain yes
Man I'm feelin that haha time is dragging
On god, still waiting
Preachin
sniperkain duuuuuude u speak the truth lol
A really weird one is that you can charge your shield with the Charge Blade.
It's weird because it's a huge important part of using the weapon but the button combo doesn't appear in any of the command lists.
If we're calling Triangle T and Circle O, here's what you do to charge your shield:
Hit a monster with your sword to charge it.
It's a really powerful thing to know, and I don't understand why this linchpin of high-level play isn't in the guide at all.
if you hold B or circle while gathering from a slain monster, mining node, or other resources that can be gathered from multiple times, you will gather it quicker than if you were to tap the button each time
IGN actually taught me something! Holding A will make the rewards screen far less tedious.
Jumping from the very top level of the Ancient Forest to the bottom floor ought to trigger people with the fear of heights
Is anyone else hyped for tonight once it come’s out?!😁
Joel Klone nahh
Joel Klone no I’m hyped for April 20th I hope you know why
more then I prob. should be lol
my obsession is deep lol, I feel like iv'e been waiting for this game ever since 2004
Kevin Qerimi, I'm guessing God of War? :P
Theory Of Random yes my friend the game of the year and Spider-Man
a few quick questions1. Are there hunter arts and art styles like in mhgen?2.can you change armor color?3.can you change some of your characters appearance(like hair color/style) after making your character?
Zidane Tribal no/tou can on high rank armor/yes
also when you mount monsters dont just tap trianlge or alternativr to xbox (idk what it is), it will tell you what to press in the top right conrer, move analog, hold r2, tap triangle, etc.
Pause menu? Seriously! There is no way to pause the game(except put the entire system in sleep mode, at least on ps4).
Nathalie Mykløy Because the game is online. You can't pause online games.
If you're playing any online game you can't pause lmao. In singleplayer it has always been an option to pause.
in the handhelds, if you were playing solo offline, you could pause the game.
I could pause in MHFU when I play solo.
if you pick up poogie and walk with him at specific times or places your controller will vibrate. When it does put poogie down and he will dig up an item for you. ive had him dig up a large barrel bomb, a mega potion, and a wing for examples.
I like how this is all info that is learned through old games
Small add on when you carry Poogie around town, walk near crates, if your controller vibrates you can find some items
how about the fact that you can redirect your kinsect using R1 and triangle (in case of playstation) of your glaive as long as it's not marked, making it easier to for example reach the tail for that sweet hp extract (also in most cases you can go by this: tail hp, head red extract, chest or back orange, wings or other white, at least from my experience, but there are always exceptions of the rule, like seregios there the red extract is in the tail). Also... I'm pretty sure you can still bring the kinsect to do it's stronger attack by redirecting it 2 times after you did send it out or by holding r1 and the attackbutton you don't use to call it back
Not sure if this still applies in this MH title but:
When carving a monster or gathering items crouch first and then gather/carve the items. This way it takes less time to do all the carves.
Most gathering now is instant besides carves and mining, i haven't played so I don't know if the crouch button still exists or if it's faster for carves still though
Did they remove the crouch option?
forgot you dont need to goto astera to re gear or change weapons go into your tend at any camp and you may switch and stock your gear all you like so you can keep on grindding till you feel like leaving
also it helps if u hv entire sets first before u start mixing cuz if u wanna or need to u can do the actual entire set
you should also own diff sets of armor as no one set can be the best and an armor set that is named after a specific monster is usually the best to take on that monster already if ur hunting only one monster however on expeditions or where ur hunting multiple monsters i see y u would put on multiple pieces from different sets as described in vid about getting diff buffs. but even mix and match armor sets wont be best over everything u will still need to switch it up from time to time. umm i just saw second half of vid cuz i watched first half earlier and i didnt know if that was addressed thats all
This was quite enjoyable. Great job! Don't even need to follow up on reviews for the game after this.
One tip you missed, when in the lower areas of the rotten vale, pick up slinger torches and fire them at the ground to give you an area you can fight in without worrying about the health drop for a limited time
Harry Evenden or just use a null berry lol
It tells you about the null berry as part of the first mission there, it didn't tell you about the slinger torch though
1st time playing Monster Hunter World, thank you so much for this! It's been amazing so far and I'm excited for such a vast game!
You forgot to mention about the pig getting you to unlock more costume for him. Whenever you finish a quest you should alway go pet him do it 5 times and you can unlock his costumes. The way to get more costumes is to carry him and run around the place when you feel your controller vibrates just drop him down and it will look for the costume for you if your lucky that is because sometimes it will only find you items, but its a cool mini game you can do after finishing a quest~ ENJOY
there are combos in this game too if youre a veteran from when they didnt really exist. Didnt figure this out until the nergigante boss...
My understanding is that later game armor has set bonuses. So for now I didn't check early gear just using what fits my play style.
Hold B/Square when cathering or carving instead of mashing as its slightly faster
Use the shortcuts to sharpen your weapon, you won’t have to put your weapon away and is much faster than the items tab
Adorable pig thing?! ADORABLE PIG THING?! That is Poogie, good sir!
Deveyus or as I called him, porkchop
GOTY?
Dak Prescott Yes!! Either this or God of war
If Kingdom hearts 3 is delayed, then sure.
Mine game of the year contender
No
Two Battletech games this year and lots of stuff we don't know about yet, he'll borderlands 3 could be this year.
if you miss some system messages u can bring up the chat window to read them i would add here
If you carry the pig around he will vibrate at certain points and when you pit him down he'll dig new items up. Got him a new outfit last night.
If you pet Poogie enough ( the pig in town) and then you carry him the control will vibrate when the pig sense some things around
jumping off a ledge with a great sword while holding y allows for a charged hit and a crit hit
"Things monster hunter world doesnt tell you" puts the hunter notes on the list. wouldnt that be the game, you know, telling you something?
o0rolyat0o He said that the game doesn't direct you to it.
Yes, same here. My PC and other consoles will collect a lot of dust in the upcoming months.
You didn't mention that once Poogie loves you enough you can carry him around Astera to find different items ranging from consumables, materials, and even different costumes for Poogie.
This is my introduction to the franchise and I think I'm going to go all in and put thousands of hours into it because I had a blast in the beta
Is it true if you hit a shock trap with some kind of water ammunition like bullets, arrows, or puddle pods that it will create an area on the ground that shocks you or your enemies?
Very helpful guys thanks a lot for taking the time to make this.
Im new to the game and its really overwhelming. Im still picking a weapon that i will enjoy using. Also for starting the game is it better to craft weapons and armors or better to buy it? How can i find a sidequest in the game? Do i go to my handler?
Pooogie!
I actually feel horrible. I was trying to troll... Sorry POOGIE!!! :'(
I don't know if it's the same in this one, but in Monster Hunter Unite, petting the pig actually increases your luck, so you should do it before every quest
The pet pig at the end just sold me. Buying the game after work. Embrace the grind
Let’s see, there’s swords, axes...MACHINE GUNS!?
"Can't tell the difference between friend or foe". Proceeds to kick, nah man you a foe
I am so tired of the watered down RPG term. Monster hunter is not an RPG. Its more akin to a boss rush game.
Remember guys petting the pig and getting those hearts increases your luck for material drops in your next quests , back in the old games it was essential to do that when farming for something specific and low drop rate material
Global Saturation no it doesnt and never has
Ben Doverman yes it does , do your research
Global Saturation i have i have even tested it and it doesnt work
Ben Doverman well I have tested it back in the day as well numerous times because I used to mod my firmware on psp and I know plenty of people as well who did the same and when In a modded game we could see the luck increase every time by a certain percentage every time you would pet the pig
Ben Doverman well I don’t know how you tested it but like I said I used to mad and I had cold hard numbers on my screen telling me otherwise , do some more research and you will find that I’m not the only one who tested this
The importance of the poogie(pig) lays in every time you cuddle him it gives you good luck in the hunts to get weird items from monsters.
4:07 and just tonight I used the wrong one and lost a Deviljho gem because of it😭😭
When you get the pig to dance with hearts after petting it carry it around and drop one place specifically is next to your handler pig can smell out and dig up a free food voucher for you
The palicoe allies you find actually belong to real people on your Guild Card List
I know this is old but there's two kind of palico allies, one is what you said. The other one is the wild one, you can only find by talking to lynian researcher.
Poogie for president
MHW logic - Fall from 1000ft on your face... fine. Brushed by a knee; for half your health.
Were do you turn in the coins at the forge. I talked to both people and they didn’t want them
Can someone tell me where poogie is in the base? I saw this without audio
Petting your poogie is super important as it confuses the game's desire sensor and increasing your rare materials drop rate. I got 3 akantor gems from carving a deviljho's tail just to name an example.
valkyria086 no it doesnt
there is a quest where you have to capture a pet and npc explains how it works so idk why you add it here
Im calling my pig Chris P. Bacon
I'm picking mine up tomorrow!
I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy this game or not but the pig at the end just sold it for me!
If the little poogie likes you a lot you can carry hin around and at some points it will get uneasy and the controller vibrates... at that point let it down... it will search the ground and dig you up an item once after every quest ... it will even come and greet you when you come back... happy hunting :)
You missed the slinger my friend. The games doesn't teach us when and how and specific effect on the monster when used
I'm surprised there is anything they don't give you a tutorial for, I just started playing a couple days ago and the number of tutorials honestly about turned me off but once you get into the bulk of the game they aren't as bad, I'm used to games like the souls/Bourne games that tell you how to move and that's about it lol
5:53 and carry him arround like he deserves xDD super cutezzz
can anybody tell me how durability works in this game?
its the only thing stopping me from bying it until i know. plus can weapons break and once broken do they disappear?
You could always go with a bow which doesn't have any wear and tear meters (can't say from experience, but I image bowguns are the same)...
I'm really new to this type of game, so the net is only used for the small animals?
Poogie was in almost every monster hunter
GREATSWORD USERS
YOU CAN SHEATHE DURING A FORWARD ROLL
THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING
You're most definitely not the toad's friend if you kick it.
how can you upgrade weapons when the forge says under development?
Abandoning quests? Filthy casuals...
Most Veteran MH players (even me) do that when the monster they're hunting didn't drop the rare part that they want after carving it. Saves you of those consumable that you used during the fight
Like you haven't abandoned one?
Regardless of what any haters have to say, that last part was absolutely necessary.
Looking forward to this fellow hunters ! I heard there isn't a G rank but they said they would be adding free dlc so I'm keeping optimistic
May your hunting be smooth
Get poogie to love you enough and while carrying him around you'll feel controller vibration. Put him down and he'll find new costumes or resources
Same except I decided to run when I realized there was no hope for my lost soul. Lol
Idk why they say always abandon instead of returning. I'm usually returning at a profit.. Often with zero loss.
Is this game better to play on a big tv screen or small tv screen?
