God this game was confusing as hell when I first started now I'm getting the hang of it and I'm addicted

Do it anyway. If you decide you want to use a bowgun a few hundred hours in, having that massive reserve of ammo is a god-send.
Totally true. I know I'll be using the Bowguns at some point, I've already been using bow, and I've taken the free ammo they give every hunt just to have it for later.
Okay here's tip they missed. Many items share resources. So be careful when setting auto crafting. Sometimes you may end up making alot of unwanted items before crafting what you really need/want. Example, if you want to autocraft tranq bombs make sure the auto craft for sleep ammo is off since sleep herbs would automatically make sleep ammo.

Yea dnt turn autocrafting on all the time you will need things for other parts. And join sos even if it seems like the player is in a boring area... chances are they are figgting something rare or more then one monster ur chances go up

I tried the beta. Didn't like it too much. Bought the game anyway. I've lost so much sleep. I can't get enough of it.
The merit here is great, but there are a few flaws guys.
First off no don't keep a bunch of stuff that you will not use in your inventory. Antidotes, herbal medicines, etc. Only bring those on the quests where you can easily get poisoned. Leave that space and pick up everything you come across. Max out that space because early on you WILL need zenny. I mean if you aren't going to use gunpowder turn off the auto-craft and sell the berries (They sell for more than the gunpowder) Sell anything you know you won't use instead of just walking by it.
As for going back to camp and unloading, the realistic chances of you remembering to do that mid-hunt is very low and when you get to the point where you don't get carted often you won't be heading back any time soon. Camp is often far away and takes up time that you could be gathering.
I mean in the end just enjoy your hunt though. It's so much fun and you can always go on and expedition for gathering without having to worry about all the intricate parts of a quest.

Best tips my mate told me when I started play back in the day was always catcher a monster if you can and always break/cut tail every time if can. This ensures you can get the best chance of drops you are going for 😁
yes also if you catch enemies you can fight some them in the special arena. This lets you fight them in an area that has a bunch of traps and they can not run away. so you easily can gather materials from him

havent actually found out i think you can fight any captured monster in the special arena.
The capturing thing is not always true.
For example Deviljho and Zinogre, there rare part has a higher chance to be carved than to be gotten from capturing.
Tip: you should always bring extra backup materials like mandragora to make max potions - much more effective
this is honestly the most fun game I've played in years.

Dont craft Beta gear until you have completed the main storyline, alpha gear already has extra skills but beta gear has slots for gems.

Crafting tip you missed: You can actually rearrange the entire crafting menu by pressing square. Moving commonly crafted items to the front prevents you from paging to find tranqs every time.

The game is fun and all...but I wish they would properly fix the online component of this game for xbox. I feel like I'm not getting the full experience.
You can respond to sos flare by going to " join a quest" -"sos- then pick what level monster you want to hunt and keep trying until it give you a list of available hunts. Hopefully they fix the matchmaking soon

Man,I miss those armor in the thumbnail so much.
It's was first armor gear that I have to purchase just to get that tracking monster ability and Whole maps got shown without actually taking a map from the chest.

Nice video! I have found this game to have a steep learning curve but I am really enjoying it so far. Dual blades, switch axe and light bowguns are my favorite weapons overall

So annoying you can not grow Ivy in your farm. Its one of the most important items and it feels fairly rare.
Be prepared for long grinding hunts
When playing any ranged weapon have both the ammo and crafting supplies in had as much as possible

Dnyc3st 89 the inventory management in this games is crazy easy dude... All stuff that you dont need, just move it to the storage...the storage is enough for every single item in the game... And you can craft item directlt from storage too
Yeah, you could dump all your items in the item box, it's very simple. I used to have full inventory until I realized I could do that, now I never run out of space
Dnyc3st 89 Took me 20 hours to get used to the inventory. It isn't exactly clear from the start of the game but you will eventually learn. The only things this game is missing are well developed characters WITH DIALOGUE and a meaningful story. Gameplay is pretty much spot on and it is fun to play but as someone who likes a good story, I am a little disappointed.

How do I upgrade item skills?
Drescher1984 if you have another piece of equipment with the same skill, it increases the skill to level two. Later on you'll get charms where there are loads of different types that give different skills
I'm just trying to obtain knives, how do i do that?
Make sure to check your item box when you do missions, I've had knives in there for every mission so far
Also if I'm not mistaking you should be able to craft effect type knives ie. sleep, paralyze, tranq

Aheeem Xbox had/had (don't know if they fixed it yet) a multiplayer problem where you can't play online or with your friends.
Joel you can play with friends, but you cant matchmake. If you wanna play coop you'll have to invite or join a friends game

ITS DLOWE BABY I told 2 friends about MH and both of them had no idea what it wad about but once they learned the basics they got into it even passed me in progress and i've played the older games. Its not that complicated i would say its easy to learn if you take your time

Xbox's matchmaking for Monster Hunter world is down right now they are trying to fix it
The servers a weird and matching with friends in a party is harder than it should be. I sometimes get an error code or their quests that they've posted don't show up and have to spend 15 to 20 minutes trying to fix it.

^^^^ you upgrade weapons to get the tree and then with armors make sure you constantly refresh the bounties for the armor spheres to upgrade you armor . saves the hassle later when you have a good skill set up but are using lower rarity gear
Nookie you have to upgrade it... You can only forge base weapon for each tree of crafting

MH:W is my first game in the series, and once you get going it's incredibly fun and rewarding to play.

It pisses me off this game because my health gauge is low so I die every time I fight and there’s no way to get it higher. Also u can be wrecking an enemy an it will just disappear to the point u can’t follow them
Joshua Chapman maybe you should eat food that boost your health and get items like nutrients that boost health too
Joshua Chapman You can get your max health higher by eating at the canteen (assuming you're choosing the right platter or doing your own platter) before a hunt. Also by using a nutrient, a mega nutrient or a Max potion during a hunt (Maybe other items have a similar effect but those are the one that comes to mind).
