Would be neat if Zorah Magdaros going and dying out in the ocean is possibly a future ocean zone in Monster Hunter World. It would make sense after all and let's be honest... who wouldn't want to see Lagiacrus in World?
Just reposting what someone said that caught my eye. Zorah reminds me a lot of Godzilla now omg. "Zorah Magdaros knew something terrible was forming in the Everstream. It recognized the danger Xeno posed to the planet, and knew how the unborn being was stealing away life energy, slowly starving the New World. If Xeno had been allowed to continue to grow, it would have consumed all of the life energy from the planet, killing everything, than moved on. But just as an abundance of water can drown a person, who depend on it to live, Zorah was going to die in the Everstream with the resulting explosive reaction destroying Xeno Jiiva and saving the rest of the world. The new world would have been blasted to hell yes, but all that life energy would eventually balance out and everything would grow anew from the cataclysmic action of Xorah Magdaros. Nergigante was trying to protect Zorah so it could complete its task. But it failed. The fifth fleet turned Zorah away to die in the ocean which will give rise to a new continent, but then the responsibility of putting down the life stealing Xeno Jiiva fell to the hunters. With Xeno’s death the loss of life energy ceased, and the balance of the power of the new world needing to restore itself, resulted in a tempering of the life forms therein. Until they too die, and the circle of life and death is restored."
That's awesome! So I'm guessing that Zorah's death is going to be the reason the new continent IceBorne is created. This Lore! And I was wondering why Zorah walking on two legs, then swimming off into the sea felt so familiar. Godzilla!
The fifth didn't push Zorah away from the rotten vale. Zorah was unnaturally drawn to the elder recess and the everstream within. If he had made it there and died releasing his bioenergy there it would have destroyed the new world. Thats why the fifth pushed him into the sea.
RainMakerXP I'm not denying that. I'm just pointing out that in the video the Terra says the reason he didn't die there is because the 5th pushed him away which just isn't true. Zorah skipped the Vale on his own and the 5th pushed him away from the elder recess after that.
I always had my suspicions about the rotten vale. There were just way too many hints about the area itself being one large monster. Can't believe I forgot about the Dalamadur from 4U. Played the Christ out of that game.
There's another skull in the area too. Not as big and I don't know what it belongs to, but it's still pretty big. If you go down to the area with the bright blue acid stuff if you go to the part where it stretches out into what looks like a stream to the right there's another skull
GBishop17 I don't know the lore, but from what I've pieced together, either Dalamadur was pregnant or it ate something that killed it from the inside. Or something straight up tunneled into it's guts.
Can you hear them screaming out your name? Legends never die, they become a part of you Every time you bleed for reaching greatness Relentless you survive
This video is 1000 times better compared to the clickbait-y one from the Leaderboard. Im happy you put in actual, interesting facts in your video, instead of just mentioning what Event/Crossovers there are in the game.
Another you kinda missed for Dalamader, in the Odogoron's nest there are two blue spots of blue energy. If you get Oddie to attack and hit these spots, it will then be lit on fire with blue flames. Plus standing in this fire will take away health much faster than the acid does. These spots have also been theorized to be remnants of Dalamander's energy.
Zorah was headed in the direction of the elder recess not the vale which was the problem, they were afraid if it died near the streams the energy would flow through out the entire island and destroy it. Sending zorah out to sea it's explained that it will likely create another ecosystem somewhere at sea.
jon nugent Considering that Iceborne is a continuation of the main story, I wouldn't be surprised if that glacial freezing was caused by Zorah Magdaros dying (kinda like in Lost Planet)
Zorah was drawn toward the elder's recess unnaturally instead of going to the vale. Possibly, it was trying to prevent Xeno'jiiva from being born and throwing the entire planet into chaos.
Adam Keane I think it's more likely that it sensed the danger posed by Xeno and was trying to kill it. I think this because it knew that it was about to die and knew the risk of going to the recess and dying and was still willing to do it.
TheMemester439 Even in the game it is stated that Xeno fed off of all the energy from previous elder crossings. Your theory is mind tickling at best, but it holds no water.
Fun fact too: There's at least THREE Dalamadur skulls IN the rotten vale, suggesting three adults died. Weird that they might have all died together.... Man, imagine if they died in the middle of a snake ball. A snake ball between dalamadur would be like the size of scotland XD (A snake ball is when loads of snakes get together with one female to breed and they resemble a mass of coils)
One's in the top layer. Another is right by Vaal Hazak's sleeping area by the Dalamadur plasma pools and the third... Oh I forget.... I just remember seeing 3. Either way that's 2
Considering such a thing has never been confirmed I doubt it... no such thing in MH could produce such a thing. Not even the ancient civ. They make new life, not alter existing life
The thing about the first tip with mining is that veterans should know about it. Radobaan is essentially the Uragaan just in a different area/climate. The first time I saw the Radobaan I went straight for its back to see if you could.
It's true that Zora's stored energy in combination with the unnatural storage and creation of Xeno Jiiva would have created a surplus of energy (explosion) and destroyed the island. But, that doesn't remove the fact that the island is in need of a new Elder Dragon catalyst to bring about another cycle of life. One way or the other, Zora Magdaros was intended to rest at the foot of the Coral Highlands and is now redirected elsewhere by the player's actions.
TerraMantis Iirc they only need the elder dragons life force to begin the cycle, after that nature takes its course and the ecosystem grows on its own Zorah was supposed to travel straight through the island and move onwards after But the power of xeno jiva pulled him towards the everstream which would have destroyed it all
The old lady from this video says otherwise. She states that Zorah was intended to be the next energy source to fuel life for the ecosystem. I'm only basing it off exactly what the game says.
TerraMantis the old lady from your video? Cause she didn't specify And the first wyverian said zorah magdaros was being drawn in by the energy towards the everstream iirc I don't think the rotten vale attracts monsters and elder dragons from all over the globe to die, just monsters in this ecosystem
shaynethegmann she says that Zorah was at the vale but was pulled off course by something which I thought was maybe nergiganta but it could’ve been the final monster
The whole video was exceptional and awesome. I'm new to the World (of Monster Hunter) and therefore new to the lore. The video was calming and interesting. Although I can only imagine how much work you put into it, I do appreciate it. I hope you get more views, man!
Because I've only been playing the game while I stream, I've been coming up with my own names for them. The thing about the omen flies isn't exactly hidden, I'm pretty sure you can read about it in the field guide, or maybe even a loading screen tip... i know you can read it somewhere in game. That's my only nitpick tho good vid
You can also use torch pods on lavasioth( hopefully I spelled it right) to heat up its lava armor so you can stop bouncing on him. Just shoot them on the ground under him and watch em cook and boom mind explosion, you can hit him again.
this game has such a beautiful lore... I've always loved monster hunter as it was always my childhood game but never did i know it was this amazing.... thank you capcom for everything..
Never watched any of your videos before. This one randomly popped up in my recommended and I just wanted to say you seem like a fantastic youtuber. I really enjoyed this video
As a great sword main...I’m glad to say I already knew the trick of landing your great sword strike on sleeping monsters. If I didn’t know that...I don’t think I would have been a very good main haha
One thing not even you might know is that torch pod can be fired at Lavasioth when his armor is hard to soften it yet again without him plundering in the lava, or that the bright moss can be used to confuse monsters like a flash pod if thrown directly in the face.
So what you're saying is, in driving away Zorah Magdaros, we prevented our own downfall by delaying the natural paradigm shift, or one could say by extending our own age and postponing the natural advent of the next? Is the Player Character going to be the final boss of the inevitable G-Rank?
I think what u said at the end is very correct. Since the fifth fleet drove away the zorah, the winter expansion is coming out and everything is dead, snowing, dry, etc. no flourishing life
I was expecting a, NO Shit Sherlock video... but I a have to say. This is impressive. I did not notice the sword the campfire nor the skull in the Vale's map.
The rotten vale actually consists out of 2 dalamadur corpses. The second head can be found at the entrance of the huge corpse pile where vaal hazak is sleeping.
In the Elder's area, the crystals you see and slide on to find the bonfire are also a nod to Dark Souls, specifically the sliding crystals you go down in the Crystal Caves area.
one thing i really thought of basically based off of this is the return of the underwater system with Zora magnora's body as an underwater volcanic island as the setting with maybe another super long or big elder dragon (because after driving it away and nargigante there was reports of other elder dragons coming) so it makes sense that if zora got into a confrontation and the two died together, it could become a super fertile reef system perfect for a completely new map
Spoiler ahead but I think its worth mentioning. While the gala madur? The rotten vale elder dragon may have created the land and wood I think Xeno'Jiiva is possible an incarnation of the saphire star or is the same breed of the dragon that became the saphire star. I don't know it just really symbolizes it with its body, power and the fact of how it looks when its enraged with how it glows violently like how a star would.
First, congratulations!!!!! Second I knew all but two of these. However I'll give you a third because on the last point you told me where I can find the tale of the five. which is something I did not know where to read. Thank you.
I really didn't expect much from this video but I learned a bit more about this game and the old games that tie to world. The similarities are pretty cool. I like the idea of old games monster somehow appearing in new games.
The thing about the True Charged Strike for the great sword is you actually get more power if you hit with the first strike and then the second. Team Darkside addressed this in one of their videos
This was only AFTER iceborn though. On top of the wake up hit damage only applies to the 1st attack against the monster meaning you still want to hit only the 2nd part when doing the wake up
What a great Elder Dragon story. And here we are. Killing them, and wearing their skin as helmets. Anyways, this was a great video man. Really good. Props!
stillnotfamous Well elder dragons are a danger to every ecosystem as the can completely whipe them out, there is also Fatalis who actively trys to kill humanity
If only I knew Torch Pods were used to get rid of effluvium, thanks for that. Also, I never realized how deep this game is, so thanks for that too.
Robin Hood Doesn’t work on the gas produced by Vaal, only the gas natural to the region.
You don't take damage when wearing mantles since they cover your face.
hey it's in the trailer bro are you not even watch it?
Vaal Hazak armour also has resistance to normal effluvium

I've noticed that
What part of that map could I find the connection of rotten vale and coral highlands and ancient forest to wildspire waste?
Nate ya I saw that and it was creepy
Jorge Porras also the occasional legiana corpse dropping into the vale
That's because they are connected... the Vale is the deep sea to the shallows of the Highlands.

Zorah magdaros was originally drawn off course by the everstream his death would've destroyed the entire island
So it was more setting nature on track
It's true that Zora's stored energy in combination with the unnatural storage and creation of Xeno Jiiva would have created a surplus of energy (explosion) and destroyed the island. But, that doesn't remove the fact that the island is in need of a new Elder Dragon catalyst to bring about another cycle of life. I have over 400 hours on Xbox and PC and didn’t know ANY of this tips/facts. Wow Im still learning from this game, love it!
Teacher: ok kids today we'll talk everything about mhworld!
Me: *shows badge of expert jewel* ehem
Nice vid man!
The rotten vale actually consists out of 2 dalamadur corpses. The second head can be found at the entrance of the huge corpse pile where vaal hazak is sleeping.
Holy... WOW that last one was definitely worth it for sure. That was the best one definitely. No I did NOT know that, wow.. Please, have my Like Sir
I'm here just to say, you're right, the iceborne map is the zora magdaros that we pushed away......you sir, just nailed it
The Seath's domain easter egg alongside the bonfire was nice too.
In the Elder's area, the crystals you see and slide on to find the bonfire are also a nod to Dark Souls, specifically the sliding crystals you go down in the Crystal Caves area.
I had a feeling there was more to the Vale than initial thought that was fantastic info man thanks again for the Insight
one thing i really thought of basically based off of this is the return of the underwater system with Zora magnora's body as an underwater volcanic island as the setting with maybe another super long or big elder dragon (because after driving it away and nargigante there was reports of other elder dragons coming) so it makes sense that if zora got into a confrontation and the two died together, it could become a super fertile reef system perfect for a completely new map
Guess what... the huntsman once had his helmet off in a cutscene
Sonofalich Dalamadur. Close enough!
I enjoyed this video, mostly the story at the end. Pretty good
Deadly Viper Hunting Squad
This guy probably predicted the whole plot of iceborne in the last part
First, congratulations!!!!!
Second I knew all but two of these. However I'll give you a third because on the last point you told me where I can find the tale of the five. which is something I did not know where to read. Thank you.
Omg! The torch pod is a game changer for me. Wish I knew sooner.
Awesome video dude! I love DS & MH too!!
Nice! I'm glad this came in my recommended vids.
Damn that DALAMADUR is awesome. BTW thank you for the information 👍
Wow that area is really from dark souls 1, I like how well it fits in this game
Javen it reminds me of seath the scaless
Monster Hunter 2004 dark whatever 2011
Karina Godines mhw 2018 so yea its a reference to dark souls dude
Karina Godines this wasn't in the first games the area just came out in mhw so dark souls came before.
Yeah, because every cristal zone is a reference to dark souls... Fuck it off
12:00 Friggin badass animation of the symbols
I really didn't expect much from this video but I learned a bit more about this game and the old games that tie to world. The similarities are pretty cool. I like the idea of old games monster somehow appearing in new games.
Glad you are back!
Me too! Thanks
Props!
stillnotfamous Well elder dragons are a danger to every ecosystem as the can completely whipe them out, there is also Fatalis who actively trys to kill humanity
glad to have you back
Thanks, Zamora! Glad to be back.
TerraMantis :)
Wow! The mining was pretty cool. I had no idea.
Omg! I have learned so much! Thank you sir. Im subscribing
If you catch omenflies they tell you this. First thing I LEARNED in MH but I still took 45min to find the quest hunt. Much better now 👌🏾
I'm over an 100 hours in the game, and these are definitely things I would have never found out on my own.
Thank you so much for this!
