Last year I had an open box cold air on my 22 5.0 and I loved the sound it made but the drone so to speak and the vibrations that it created were unbearable, specifically between 2500-4k rpm. I ended up selling it, but I still wish I could run a cold air. Do you notice any vibrations at all with the s&b?
Hey no I do not get vibrations with this closed cell style intake. My previous rough country intake open box style did which was one of the big reasons I switched. Hope that helps!
Here’s a data log summary from S&B, not sure of power numbers but definitely big increase in airflow drive.google.com/file/u/0/d/0B2evqL8Y1pdHc2FTX2ZESGxsclk/view?pli=1
Not much louder gives some decent tone at part and mid throttle but not nearly as loud as an Open filter style housing like rough country or k&n with no cover over the air box and filter. I had that style previously and it was much louder.
@@TrophyTimeAdventures cool. I’m fixing to get one. Couldn’t decide between the cover with screws or without. Can you tell a difference in throttle response vs the stock intake
Yeah I ordered from stage3motorsports and website image pictured had the screw style cover however I received the one without screws, perhaps they changed their design maybe. Throttle response is probably slightly improved it’s hard to tell with the 5star tune already loaded which gives really good throttle response.
I think you will, I feel mid range has a little more snap than with my previous intake. Some guys are claiming better gas mileage as well, time will tell for they if I can stay off the skinny peddle ha

How much louder is it than stock?

Do you like the filter cover not having screws?
So far it’s been good and staying put, with the rubber gasket around the polycarbonate it’s a pretty snug fit and don’t think it’s going to fall off.

@@TrophyTimeAdventures nice. Mine isn’t tuned. Hoping to still feel a little difference

Where did you buy this?
Hey I ordered this intake through stage3motorsports!
