Such an underrated channel. I was stressing and already watched many other videos, but this is the only one to help and was very clear and helpful. Thanks so much for the help😁
I did crazy number of hard reset just to figure out my accessories were causing the issue, was just about to contact the customer services but I ran into your video!!! I am so glad this fixed my issue!! Thank you so much!!!
Holy shit!!’ I was stressed to the max and your very first solution fixed my problem!! The sensor was blocked. Thank you very very much. Hell yes I subscribed
Omg this guy is my hero! I haven't been able to figure out why my oculus was glitching out for a year. I searched all over the internet and nothing worked except for this! Thank you so much!!
Thank you and well done providing a remedy to this issue. I had spent hours trying to sort this and even spoke with the support line who had me return it for a new one. I had the same issue and decided I was going to find an answer, I couldn't be the only one having this problem and after sifting through all the trouble shooting I found your video. Thank you so much, I appreciate it .
Dude I just want you to know that I had this problem and I tough I wasted 500 bucks and I tried this and it worked your a life saver thanks so mush you deserve more subs
THANK YOU! This helped tremendously. My oculus was stuck in some weird state for 3 days after my kiddo (she's 10) played it until the battery died. I always tell her never to play below 10% without plugging in but... shes a kid. They never listen. Well, I showed her how her headset was dead and now I think she understands. I honestly was afraid the thing did some "black screen of death" crash but just the hard restart (holding + and power) worked! It did take a FULL 15 SECONDS, so if it hasn't worked for you, try it again and watch a clock or watch to ensure you held it for a FULL "15 Mississippi" slow count. LOL It wouldn't charge, the screen was black, and the red light on the side would stay on constantly whether the device was plugged in or not. I was worried it was junk. We shall see if it charges back to 100% and the light turns green or not... maybe she did kill the battery somewhat, but at least I got the screen back on and the thing is "talking" to me now. I managed to get the screen and cameras back on and even shut it down properly to attempt charging. Fingers crossed! My big worry however is that it first showed me a "battery low" icon and then booted up. But once I shut it down properly and plugged it back in, it showed me charging at 82%... so my battery might be fried. 🤔😫 Thanks again! Big help. At least this got me moving in the right direction to diagnose the thing. Before it was just black screens and a solid red light.
Used some tape to hold up the flexible mask, so that the sensor would not be obscured, and it worked a treat. You should post this handy tip on the Oculus forum. So helpful !. Thank you.
omg thank u so much, ive had this vr for about 4-5 months now and the black screen just happened to me earlier. i tried to turn it off but i cant and thank god the +volume button and power button method works for me
Thank you for this info. Lots of good info Like 3rd party face interface blocking the sensor. I had to use the soft boot ( Plus button volume and power button ) that worked. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for the info. I thought my oculus was broken cuz it suddenly turn dark without any option and controller. It seems like the rubber at the center is blocking the sensor.
Hey bro. If you have notifications on for this, do you think my hair could be blocking the proximity sensor? I really do not wanna factory reset again cause it takes a while to redownload all the apps. If not, then is there any other way I could fix this? I made sure nothing is blocking it and my strap was tight. The only thing I think may be the problem is the elite strap and my hair. PS: The elite strap is broken on one side.
I’ve been trying to fix this problem for awhile, i cant see anything through my headset but i can still here sound. I’m also using an older version of the oculus, not the quest so i don’t know if that’s causing this issue.
