- I attempted everything the youtubers advised and nothing else worked because I could not get past the loading screen! I finally fixed my sons Oculus Quest 2 and I recorded the entire fix while I did it. I really hope this helps people. This fix is only $20 if you have a T2 torx bit. Ive found torx sets as cheap as $7 if you have a torx handle.
The 2 things youll need:
#1 - New Oculus Quest Proximity Sensor:
Youll find them on Ebay.com
(They are selling for $20-$25)
#2 - A T2 torx bit:
IFixit kit ($40)

I have onr looks like proc sensor is cracked it boots like yours and gord off eill not load anythibg rlse but can grt to boot menu to factory reset.. im thinking this is the issue thank u gonna ise your video to bu ywhat i need and fix this thing HOPEFULLY.

Yeah mine i can get that shutdown menu where it says restart shutdown or cancel. It shows the battery % as well. But nothing else. Will this work for me?
Dude, I disabled the guardian from the developer options. It opens that way. I bought a sensor. I will plug it in. Will it work for sure?
100% worked for me and it still works. I cant guarantee that it will work for everyone.. but if the issue is your sensor, this will resolve the issue.

Bro ty so mucho, i had the same problem that I cant enable developer mode, but in my oculus it show the advertise for shut doen, cancel or reset. i not sure if we have the same problem.
Can you tell me if after these change you can play normally in the Q2?
My son has been playing for months now without issue.
How can I know if it is that sensor since mine turns on, the intro is heard, the music from the menu but nothing is seen, I put on stream sl cel and it works but it is still not visible in the oculus
Hold down the power button for a second until you see the Power off, restart or cancel options. If you take off your headset and screen turns off then your proximity sensor is ok. In that case, one of the camera tracking at the front is defective.
