Zack Snyder did an excellent job of showing that despite the fact that Bruce and Diana brought this team together, they don't know how to work as a team. Diana has been running solo for over a hundred years, Bruce has been running solo for about twenty years, and Victor only just started getting into the hero business, and his father's life was in danger, which meant he became emotional and reckless. The only one even trying to be a team player was Barry, and that's what I love about this scene, because he is the only one that is the voice of reason in a fight against an intergalactic monster hell bent on killing anyone in his path to Mother Boxes, and effectively, he was the reason why the team started working together. This is why I like this film more than Avengers, because unlike the Avengers, who just magically figured out how to work together as a team almost immediately after almost getting killed, the JL actually had to figure out how to work as a team in the heat of battle, not just once, but twice, and even when they figured out how to fight together, they still weren't considered a team until the final battle. Snyder is a genius.
In defense of the avengers, captain America is a strong leader, Thor had his lessons about not being selfish in Thor 1 Black widow and Hawkeye are trained spies that worked together before
I mean, the Avengers didn't just magically figure out how to work as a team. They argued with each other and allowed Loki to escape. It was only when Coulson died that they realized they needed to work together to win

"I'm guessing that's the bad guy." "Good guess." Nice reference to the New 52 Justice League comic when Darkseid makes his first invasion, though it was Green Lantern who said the first line, and Batman had the same response.
The Snyder cut was amazing and I can’t wait for the DC cinematic universe to introduce the Green Lantern properly as well as the rest of the justice league members
For anyone who said "Why batman is so weak in this fight?" Or "Why does he get beaten up?" He did it on purpose. He let parademons to beat him up & making himself a target to distract them from The Flash & Cyborg who were too busy saving the hostages. He said it himself, "I'll make sure these things follow me."
I don't understand why people are having issues with the aspect ratio. I've seen many sitcoms with 4:3 aspect ratio so the aspect ratio in this movie didn't bother me at all even for 4 hours. You just need to get used to it
Tbh, they should've stretched it to fill the screen on the sides, i'm not saying crop it to 16:9. Same aspect ratio just a stretch on both sides to fill most screens or at least give the option to the viewer.
"Im guessing thats the bad guy" "Lucky guess" Snyder watched animated movie Justice League: War - there was the exact same dialogue between Batman and Green Lantern once they met Darkseid.
2:51 “Kill them both.” I just want to highlight how much better this line is than what happened in the garbage theatrical cut. In the theatrical cut, Whedon decided to reshoot and have Steppenwolf be… happy to see Cyborg? Even though Cyborg jeopardized Steppenwolf’s mission in that scene. He says “you were born of her(?), a creature of chaos” which is an extremely cliche line. The line “kill them both” is not only more badass but it’s more in line with this badass Steppenwolf’s character to say that. Then there’s what happens after that. In both cuts, Diana kills a Parademon. However, unlike here where she kills the Parademon that’s being ordered to kill Silas and Cyborg, it feels like a random Parademon in Josstice League. I’m not the biggest fan of Zack Snyder’s films, at least screenplay wise (granted, that isn’t Snyder’s fault; he’s not a screenwriter after all) but, man the difference between these cuts is night and day.
Imagine if Zack Snyder directed a Solo Flash film with the Same Dark and Serious Tone as this Film. A DCEU version of The Flash vs. Reverse Flash/Zoom in a Epic, Serious, Intense, and Stylized Speedster vs. Speedster Fight Scene. It would be just as interesting as Aquaman vs. Ocean Master.
"As huge as The Flash's journey was in Zack Snyder's Justice League, that was only the beginning for him. In Justice League 2, it would have followed up with Barry after the events of the long-delayed The Flash movie that was originally slated to come out in 2018. Per Snyder's storyboards, the DCEU would have introduced Len Snart a.k.a. Captain Cold, one of the famous members of DC's the Rogues. Captain Cold would have appeared in this sequel as part of Lex Luthor's Injustice League that he was putting together. In return for joining his team, Lex would have given Snart a significant upgrade to his cold weapon against the Scarlet Speedster. As far as Barry's journey was concerned, Zack Snyder's Justice League 2 would focus a lot on the speeding hero freeing himself of the past as well as get even more powerful with his time travel powers. Eventually, Barry would have mastered those gifts so well that it would allow him to be in two places at once. Henry's case was also getting re-opened as Barry, with the help of Iris, Cyborg, and Bruce's army of lawyers that would together get Flash's father out of jail and clear his name. The Snyder Cut sequel would have seen Barry and Henry getting to spend time together outside of prison. But things would take a grimmer tone once Darkseid, with Lex Luthor's help, kills Lois Lane and uses the Anti-Life Equation on Superman. Zack Snyder's Justice League 2 would have also featured a showdown between Captain Cold and The Flash. The conclusion would be a flash-forward five years into the Knightmare future with The Flash being one of the last few Justice League members standing. While things would go out with a bang in the second installment, Zack Snyder's Justice League 3 would raise the bar even higher for everyone, including The Flash. Given how powerful Barry was at that point, Batman was even more careful with using him in the war as Flash was a key in trying to undo this reality. The third story would also introduce Green Lantern as well as his relationship with The Flash. Justice League 3 would have seen the creation of the cosmic treadmill that would help Barry run back in time to warn the past versions of his allies about the Knightmare future. But they only had one shot at this as Snyder's concept explained that they could only travel back in time once a year and that it was very risky. A Mother Box was needed to get the treadmill to work and Barry would only have 10-15 seconds to tell past Batman about how to prevent this before he'd be taken apart. Bruce gives The Flash an exact line to say to his past self that he knows would help the Justice League stop this future from happening. But the third film in the trilogy would have been even darker because while The Flash manages to run back in time, Superman and Darkseid murders the rest of the resistance force. Barry gets to the past and tells Bruce that Lois had lied to him about her pregnancy as Batman was indeed the father. The Flash would then vanish out of existence, but it was worth it as his words to the Batman would help undo the Knightmare story, and together, the Justice League and the whole DCEU defeats Darkseid once and for all. The Flash would also get a massive battle sequence as he'd take out an entire swarm of Parademons by being at two places at once. Unfortunately, while the storyboards do tell the aftermath as well as what happens 20 years later, The Flash's status doesn't get mentioned. On the bright side, Barry was one of the crucial components to Zack Snyder's Justice League 3 as his time traveling is the reason Darkseid ultimately lost."
This clip shows when Flash complains that this isn’t ‘together’ that although Wonder Woman is a seasoned hero she’s not an experienced team player. The closest is Batman who has experience working with & shepherding Robin.
I like a little more the sentence: “Child, my axe still slick with the blood of your sisters” from the Whedon cut Also in this version they actually showed the blood so it would have been more fitting
The problem with adding that line in Zack Snyder's version is that he did the same thing just differently. The whedon cut, he taunts her in the tunnel battle. In Zack Snyder's version, he taunts her in the final battle. He stated, "Why did you abandon your own sister only to cast your lot with these creatures clinging to their puny lives? You weren't there to protect them from me. And, sadly, you could have." Putting in both taunts would make the final one redundant. One has to go and I'm perfectly fine with him not using Whedon's line. Honestly, Whedon's line doesn't even sound like it even fits Zack Snyder's Steppenwolf. Synder's steppenwolf took things seriously dialogue wise while Whedon's came off as trying to say witty one liners.
@@dondreg16 don’t forget that Diana probably already KNOWS Steppenwolf killed Amazons if they sent the Arrow of Artemis to their shrine within known civilization. Hell, Diana already grew worried about them and lost focus when fighting Steppenwolf in the final battle
@@kapilhooda2373 Wonder Woman is not such an intelligent character to use words like that. She is a very competent and decorated warrior but this dialogue "you overestimate yourself" isn't quite befitting. It would be befitting to Martian Manhunter or Batman.
@Shawn Kuhn allow me, what the others meant to say is, no matter strong her foe it just doesn't make sense for her to use that very sentence, she's more likely to say something that describes her capalities as warrior rather than looking down on her oponent.
I remember in the weeks after the Snyder Cut was released, a lotta guys complained that this is typical “feminist garbage.” Like WTF?? Zack Snyder does showcase the power of women, but this film isn’t pandering to that demographic! Also yeah - what you said! It is in character for Diana to say “I belong to no one.” It’s to highlight that she won’t take her enemy’s shit and she’ll fuck them up.
I agree. However, the way and moment it was delivered did not reflect well on the character. For one, the viewers know that Steppenwolf wasn't referring to owning owning her, so she comes off as a bit dense instead rather than empowering. It also doesn't help that Gadot's facial expression and tone of voice when saying the line came off as very weak. So despite the rest of the movie, in that particular moment, that line made Wonder Woman look both dense and weak.
And to think zack was supposed to film a scene where Batman was investigating the abductions eventually leading him to the parademons nest, solo i think sometime at the beginning of the story... argh! Damn you to hell WB and whoever shot down the idea!
Yeah, that would been fantastic to watch. They shot down that idea because they thought it would have been too dark and scary. And the only reason they think that is because Batman V Superman received that negative critical reception from critics who deemed to it too dark, serious and lacking humor. That's pretty much why everybody says BVS destroyed the DCEU. WB did everything they could to distance themselves from the dark and serious tone of BVS by making Justice League a lighthearted action comedy. If WB never interfered from the get go, I believe Justice League would have been even better than what we saw. We would have gotten the parademons nest, Green Lantern John Stewart ending, etc...
Maaann how is NO ONE talking about Flash using his speed to beat the parademon??? That's shit is sick since it's the first time we see how he would fight using his powers

Still JL has its charm

Would you consider yourself to be a good person?
How many lies have you told, and what do you call someone who lies? Have you ever stolen something, and what do you call someone who steals? Have you ever taken God’s name in vain (very serious; in Old Testament times, the Jews wouldn’t even say the name of God for fear of blasphemy) - even ‘OMG’? One more: Jesus said whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery in his heart; have you ever looked with lust?
Well I’m not judging you - but if you’ve done these things then you’re a liar, thief, blasphemer and adulterer-at-heart; that’s how seriously God takes sin. He is Holy (perfectly good/righteous and separate from sin) which means that H e is perfect in justice - and if He were to judge you by the moral law (we’ve already looked at 4 commandments) would you be innocent or guilty? Heaven or H***? The answer is h*** - the wrath of God upon you for your sin. Is that concerning?
But fortunately, God’s will is not that you perish. He wants all men everywhere to be saved. So do you know what He did for us guilty sinners? In self-giving mercy, He sent His Son Jesus Christ. He lived the perfect life that we should have lived - tempted at all points and yet He NEVER sinned. Through His life, being in very nature God, He revealed God to men; but we in our hatred condemned Him to death. On that cross as Jesus suffered, He took on the sin of the world and was judged in our place; receiving God’s wrath. You and I broke God’s law, but Jesus paid the fine. God can justly forgive us.
On that cross He died, then He was buried, but 3 days later He was raised from the dead - conquering death and H*** and ushering in The Kingdom of God. He then ascended to the right hand of God the Father (where He came from) now Lord of the living and the dead. God has fixed a date when He will judge the world in righteousness. What you need to do is repent (In humility, acknowledge your sin before God and turn to a relationship with Him) and trust ALONE in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross; and God will grant you the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then be baptised.
When you place your trust in Jesus - the Lord and Saviour - these things will happen:
1) God will forgive the sins that you have committed; they were paid for by Jesus at the cross.
2) The perfect life that Jesus lived will be credited to you. He will find you holy and blameless on judgement day (and now), as Christ’s righteousness covers you.
3) You receive a place in Christ’s kingdom as an adopted child of God. God becomes your Father. Eternal life isn’t just about living forever, but a personal relationship with God Himself. That life can start now; The Father will reveal Himself to you if you seek Him.
4) God doesn’t just save you from the penalty of your sin (H***). He can save you from the power of sin itself. Whoever practices sin is a slave of sin; but when you repent and believe the gospel [WHICH HAS BEEN DESCRIBED] the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you and sanctify you (working in you to further abandon sin and turn to the will of God). When the end of the age comes, and eternity begins, this work will be brought to completion as you are finally freed from the presence of sin.
Jesus offers to take away your sin and to give you His righteousness; you must receive it by faith. Choose this day if you will align with the world, or with Jesus and His kingdom - only His is eternal.
ROMANS 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved

Man the "i am real when it's useful" is literally something Batman would say in comics
2:51 “Kill them both.”
I just want to highlight how much better this line is than what happened in the garbage theatrical cut.

I like a little more the sentence: “Child, my axe still slick with the blood of your sisters” from the Whedon cut
Also in this version they actually showed the blood so it would have been more fitting
