One of my best friends, my brother, and I did a marathon of Man Of Steel, BvS, and Wonder Woman in anticipation of the midnight release of this on HBO Max. We were geeking out the whole time it was such a great experience, good times indeed!
Joss Whedon's Superman let Cyborg be torn in two, just so he could deliver a corny line before kicking ass. Zack Snyder's Superman PROTECTED Cyborg, was not impressed, and then kicked ass.

With a four hour long run time it would never have played at theaters. The only reason why we saw it at all was because of streaming services. This was a terribly paced film with too much commentary built into it in back stories. This should have been five different films. Not one. But I don't blame Weedon or Snyder for it. This was poor foresight and vision by WB.

@@tonystank2680 I partly disagree, and here's why: 1. The mood in ZSJL is much more mature and doesn't have the schlocky attempts at humour from the Whedon version. 2. The villains are now more fleshed out, with Steppenwolf no longer being a shit looking CGI monster that keeps saying "mother" over and over. Instead he looks much better and has a purpose that makes more sense. We also see relationships between villains. 3. Cyborg gets so much character development, whereas in Whedon's version he's a forgettable character. 4. The Amazons are far more competent in ZSJL. 5. We got a better explanation of what the motherboxes do. 6. We got Flash's time travel scene. 7. We no longer had that sub-plot with the Russian family. The look of the whole thing seems much more polished, it has better colours etc.
I absolutely love the entirety of the last act of this movie. Love Batman actually bieng helpful and even helping Wonder Woman. Love the 3 on 1 team up against Steppenwolf. Love Steppenwolf trying manipulate and rattle wonder woman.

It feels a bit tacked on. But I can forgive that because it was never part of the original film and Snyder only added it to give fans an idea of what would happen in the future movies and give the Knightmare sequence from BvS some context.

Would've flopped. Ask me why? Because, first, only the minority will sit through a 4-hour movie, considering how damn boring it is, I mean action scenes here hardly have any variety it's basically the same slow-mo throughout the film. Second, the only reason people are prasing ZSJL cut now is that we had an even worse movie in theaters so it offering the opportunity for comparison made Zack's cut more likable and people closed their eyes to its flaws. If it was cut to 3 hours 30 minutes it would have been great. I mean, Avatar war of the water was over three hours and it grossed over 2 billion dollars.
Zack Snyder's Justice League is how a superhero team up movie should be made. There's no annoying quips or dumb jokes that take away from the seriousness or arguments that take up too much of the runtime. Everyone instead is working together as a unified team, and are thinking like one mind.
Except ZSJL wasn't epic. It was pedestrian at best. It was more like an early 2000s comic book movie with a generic villain saying the most inane dialogue possible. And this scene in particular is the very definition of mediocre. Batman is given nothing to do but play first person shooter lol. The action isn't inventive in the slightest and the cinematography is so dull and color-less with the turd brown filter it's sleep inducing. I can't believe people actually find this stuff "epic". Standards have clearly dropped.
What I love the most about this moment is how Steppenwolf barely acknowledges Victor and Arthur other than to fight them, but he intentionally targets Diana. He uses the one thing that would be the most effective in getting a ride out of her and throw her off balance and make her vulnerable to a killing blow. He used Diana’s love for Themyscira and the Amazons, even though she has been banished for over a hundred years. And Steppenwolf knew that he could get under her skin simply by mentioning Themyscira and Hyppolita. Absolutely brilliant tactic. Now, why he didn’t use that against Victor, because he also watched as Victor’s father died and could’ve used that to get him mad, I have no idea.
Diana was never banished. She chose to live out in civilization among everyone else because it helps her to stay closer to the people she's protecting.
This has aged spectacularly! In hindsight this is levels LEVELS above what we have gotten since! Still my fav super hero movie, the music, the story and that superman and flash scene! We were robbed off this series!

Gods. Snyder really made Wonder Woman and Cyborg so much more badass in his cut. The fact that the Snyder Cut relies SO MUCH on Cyborg, after the trash Cyborg was treated as in the theatrical one was the biggest crimes ever. Also I think Snyder's Steppenwolfe is way more badass. The way he realizes he can't physically throw WW off, so he pokes and prods and insinuates he killed Hippolyta so he can gain an advantage over WW is such a great piece of their fights.
I still remember how everyone was hating Ben Affleck as Batman. It all changed with that epic warehouse fight scene in BvS. Watching Robert Pattison as Batman is a crime when you the Batman we wanted in Zack Synder's version.
This Justice League was the one we all wanted AND needed. WB really dropped the ball on this one, should've given Snyder time to grieve. Instead they gave us a rushed project that didn't profit 😂
WB are the true villains of this story doing everything in their power to undermine Zach Snyder's vision just to imitate not duplicate another studio's success.
The only director that ever knew how to do Batman justice and pay true respect to his character in Justice League is none other than Zack himself. Ok, let's just put Whedon aside, even for the Flash movie, you can tell that they didn't really understand Batfleck well enough, there's were so much potential that they could've done for Batfleck in the 5min screen time. Would've flopped. Ask me why? Because, first, only the minority will sit through a 4-hour movie, considering how damn boring it is, I mean action scenes here hardly have any variety it's basically the same slow-mo throughout the film. Second, the only reason people are prasing ZSJL cut now is that we had an even worse movie in theaters so it offering the opportunity for comparison made Zack's cut more likable and people closed their eyes to its flaws. However, trust me, had they released Snyder's cut in the theaters it would've received as much criticism as Wheadon's version, may be slightly less, but still too much. So people calling this movie masterpiece are simply delusional or have never seen anything better than this movie. And, there are actually a lotta movies out there that are by far better than ZSJL.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is how a superhero team up movie should be made. There's no annoying quips or dumb jokes that take away from the seriousness or arguments that take up too much of the runtime. Everyone instead is working together as a unified team, and are thinking like one mind.

Except ZSJL wasn't epic. It was pedestrian at best. It was more like an early 2000s comic book movie with a generic villain saying the most inane dialogue possible. And this scene in particular is the very definition of mediocre. Batman is given nothing to do but play first person shooter lol. The action isn't inventive in the slightest and the cinematography is so dull and color-less with the turd brown filter it's sleep inducing. I can't believe people actually find this stuff "epic". Standards have clearly dropped.

What I love the most about this moment is how Steppenwolf barely acknowledges Victor and Arthur other than to fight them, but he intentionally targets Diana. He uses the one thing that would be the most effective in getting a ride out of her and throw her off balance and make her vulnerable to a killing blow. He used Diana’s love for Themyscira and the Amazons, even though she has been banished for over a hundred years. And Steppenwolf knew that he could get under her skin simply by mentioning Themyscira and Hyppolita. Absolutely brilliant tactic. Now, why he didn’t use that against Victor, because he also watched as Victor’s father died and could’ve used that to get him mad, I have no idea.
Diana was never banished. She chose to live out in civilization among everyone else because it helps her to stay closer to the people she's protecting.
Diana was the most lethal threat to Steppenwolf. Hence he ignores the other threats.

Gods. Snyder really made Wonder Woman and Cyborg so much more badass in his cut. The fact that the Snyder Cut relies SO MUCH on Cyborg, after the trash Cyborg was treated as in the theatrical one was the biggest crimes ever.
Also I think Snyder's Steppenwolfe is way more badass. The way he realizes he can't physically throw WW off, so he pokes and prods and insinuates he killed Hippolyta so he can gain an advantage over WW is such a great piece of their fights.
Steppenwolf’s use of psychological warfare was really solid.

I still remember how everyone was hating Ben Affleck as Batman. It all changed with that epic warehouse fight scene in BvS. Watching Robert Pattison as Batman is a crime when you the Batman we wanted in Zack Synder's version.
This Justice League was the one we all wanted AND needed. WB really dropped the ball on this one, should've given Snyder time to grieve. Instead they gave us a rushed project that didn't profit 😂

The only director that ever knew how to do Batman justice and pay true respect to his character in Justice League is none other than Zack himself. Ok, let's just put Whedon aside, even for the Flash movie, you can tell that they didn't really understand Batfleck well enough, there's were so much potential that they could've done for Batfleck in the 5min screen time. And I don't understand why they can't see how everyone fell in love with Snyder's Justice League..
