Diana didn't even know she was a demi-goddess at this point, she just knew she couldn't stand back and do nothing. And that music score with the shot of the first bullet heading towards her, picking up tempo as she is boxing them....all of it, the whole film is inspiring. Patty really knew how to make Gal Gadot portray Wonder Woman perfectly.
But also at the same time how could any of her friends she was travelling with think she was even remotely human. The woman made a 30 foot jump, smashed a machine gun, and flipped a tank with her hands 😂

2017's Wonder Woman is one of DC's gem movie. This No Man's Land scene is absolutely beautiful and iconic, can't wait to see another memorable scene like this for Wonder Woman 3.
Best scene in the movie. I absolutely love that Steve paid enough attention on Themyscira to notice the 'shield' command and used it here. That was an amazing detail.

Not just the action, but the story. You can see Diana growing as she explores her abilities, you learn just how much she values humankind by saving Germans from being killed: disarming them, destroying their weapons, even pulling them out of the way of Steves shots.

This is the first time we see Diana as "Wonder Woman." To me, this scene would have been just a little bit better if they had used a dramatic rearrangement of the Wonder Woman TV theme, even if were just the chords that seem to say "Wonder Woman."

This, THIS is what a superhero movie needs to be. Perfect sequence. First, the overhead shot of her shield tanking the machine gun fire. Second, when she bursts through the window and Tina Guo's iconic riff starts up. Diana, Daughter of Hippolita, climbed the ladder. But Wonder Woman saved the village.
Patty Jenkins showing in this scene she understands Superheroes more than any other current Director. Even though it has nothing to do with her mission Wonder Woman helps because it'll save lives and saving lives should always be more important to a Superhero than personal gain.

Studio management and new producers wanted a brighter, lighter and more positive film for the whole family. In short, they stepped on the same rake as with Batman in the 90s.
The best part of this is they worked together. Diana is strong because she's supposed to be a goddess basically, but they didn't make Steve a weak wimp, no he was there, fighting the war with her. by her side, not as some comic relief chump. This is what marvel movies got wrong. This, is true equality.
I love the bit where he realizes he can get in an attack behind her if he uses the cover properly, and he jumps to it. She's plowing into new territory, but he and the troops are making sure it gets taken and kept. Two different jobs, and both necessary, and he's smart enough to work with it. Not everybody would be.

She gets part way across which clears the way for the rest of the team to move in, and then when she is so pinned down by enemy fire that she cannot proceed, her drawing all the fire, makes it possible for the rest to move up to assist her.

So... you think Captain Marvel being THE most badass member of the Avengers was a weak move? None of the others could do what she did to those spaceships. While the others took care of the ground troops, she went after the dropships.
That scene where she crosses the deadly battle field with the enemy entirely focused on her taking all the fire inorder to save the people in the village and not to destroy the enemy is 1 of the most touching scenes of the movie. Very powerful. The best scene of Wonder Woman is the story of every mother and every woman going into uncharted hostile territory because they are compelled to do good for the abused and exploited. Incredibly powerful. DC & WBD need more of these kinds of story telling deeper stories not superficial nonsense for entertainment. I left Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Wonder Woman different to how I entered the cinema. Zack Snyder's Justice League, Joker are WB Movies which I love as well. I rewatch them regularly becauae there is value in these movies. They never get old.

This is the only scene apart from physically picking up an army tank that shows the sheer raw, brute strength of the Wonder Woman character, but even this doesn't go anywhere near as far as the original comics that shows her true strength capacity of lifting up an entire mountain. What a lot of folks don't realise is that she's almost on Supermans strength level, the movies still don't get this aspect and are still reluctant to show fully what she can do.

Apart from the wonderful no man's land scene, I also watch over and over again when the heroes start to enter Veld and Diana goes first. How exciting to watch her run between the buildings ducking and dodging bullets followed by crashing through a wall and entering a den full of enemy soldiers. To watch her take them all on and finally crash through another wall taking the last soldier with her. So exciting and it never gets old.
It's really weird to me that Snyder seemed to better understand how to do superheroes here than in any other DCEU film. I don't really get that same sense of selflessness, kindness and heroism that Diana had with his Superman or Batman or really any of them. Maybe Snyder's one of those people who NEEDS someone to work with to really shine.
As odd as it's gonna sound, Diana could have easily cleared that jump into the bell tower, albeit they wanted to keep the scene as humanly based as possible, so the shield call back got used, even when it was totally unnecessary...

I cannot believe the WB Excs wanted to cut this whole sequence from the movie. Until the Director was like ‘no….. it’s staying in’. It’s really is great…. and I’m a total Marvel fanboy. 8mins of some of the best superhero action ever on Screen. It’s sums up everything that WW is. And the musical score really highlights the atmospheric tension of what’s happening. I cannot believe the WB Excs wanted to cut this whole sequence from the movie. Until the Director was like ‘no….. it’s staying in’. It’s really is great…. and I’m a total Marvel fanboy. But would put this movie. And this scene in my top three favs of all time. 🤷🏻♂️
