Ohh no no no. I love everything about the car except for that huge dashboard sticking out when the door is open. The chassis and interior design teams clearly didn't coordinate well.
So many haters in the comments! I love this thing! Yes it's expensive, but if I wasn't broke I'd be at the Toyota dealership right now buying this thing, it's amazing
53 decibels is as loud as a quiet conversation or a quiet refrigerator ! That blows my mind. I've never been in a car that quiet. Drew you looked really comfortable. Great review !!
I loved the Avalon before the "designers" made it look like a laughing stock with the hyper-aggressive grilles. Same with Camry. I like the look of the upcoming 2025 Camry, however. Toned it way down. Finally.
I recently purchased the bronze and black two tone Crown and it is a beautiful car with great handling. In my area these cars are selling as soon as they hit the lot and in some cases before they hit the dealership lot. We get many complements on the car and it being so new to the US market it gets a lot of attention when on the road.
56k for a "premium" car with a Camry interior? Despite the apparent interior updates for 2024, the interior is still not befitting of a flagship vehicle.
The price is someblwhat dear(about $15K more than a loaded Camry XSE V6) for a mainstream brand and considering that cars are a hard-sell right now, it is rather ambitious. That said, considering what Lexus is putting out right now in interiors, this seems to actually out-Lexus some Lexus vehicles(looking at you nee RX/TX). And at least they gave it the power that is requisite with the lofty price.
I’ve been surprised at cars I thought weren’t so nice and luxurious in videos and pics ended up really impressive in person. I’m going to check a Crown out soon to find out.
This, the highest trim, should have power tilt/telescopic steering and a power trunk. I'm thankful there is no CVT. It's a good package reasonably priced.
I drove the base model as a rental in Japan. Definitely interesting. I drove it back-to-back with an LS500 (also a rental) and noticed that it is only slightly nosier and slightly bumpier. The tech is much more modern than the LS, and the seats on both cars are pretty comfy as well.
@@JWFas late reply but I love the crown “sport” proportion more. Still like hatch sport sedan but would love upgrade to crown sport from my current Camry 2019
Fully loaded ES300h goes into the 60k range which has the same engine has the Limited trim which is 50k. You have to spend 56k in the ES to get vented seats and bigger screen that the Crown has.
Conclusion it's a good looking smart and reliable sedan or in UK we call it a saloon car especially the crown platinum hybrid max a lot of people like it as I do very much so.
I love the crown but the sunroof doesn't open up like the xse. as well as the xse doesn't have much space like the crown. like both idk what to do lmao

Go and price a Genesis 70 to have the same features- vented seats. I think it has less power (not sure) and a more expensive price tag. The interior may look nicer but does not feel nicer.

Love that bi-tone copper color. What a shame it's only available on the $55k Platinum trim. Maybe it looks better in person but the interior does not look high end IMO. I really dislike the look of the dash. Seems like design by committee with no continuity. Just a bunch of disjointed shapes and lines. Kinda hurts my eyes.
my Pro is about the crown is it looks very attractive it has very nice features and it works very premium on the outside my cons are it is way too expensive and the interior doesn't fuel premium at all when I'm paying 56 Grand the seats are attractive but everything else is very cheap looking if I'm spending this much money on a sedan I would rather have the Lexus which has a better interior better looking on the outside and not a lot of plastic

The back looks like they forgot to finish design and affects the side profile. The interior does not look premium at all. I feel like lot of missed opportunity with this.
I personally don't like car interiors that "look" premium. I love this interior. It's extremely simple yet classy without being try-hard and shiny like it's supposed to be in a douchey yacht.

I've always liked the ES 350 although I don't think Lexus is making the same quality es as they used to. When I test drove and cross shopped these two vehicles I walked away with the crown platinum and have no regrets. This is one of the most underrated cars I've seen. This is a masterpiece and too bad most people don't know about it. This is hands down the best sedan I've driven in 40 years, it has power no lag completely butter smooth adjustable ride if you want to take the corners faster. And despite what other people think about the JBL I'm an audiofile and absolutely love this stereo. And if you look at car and driver this car goes 0 to 60 and 5.1 seconds it's a half a second off from the Genesis g70 3.3T.
For years, I critiqued Toyota for its too cautious approach to its cars. That changed with the Camry XSE/TRD and the now departed Avalon TRD. Now we have this Crown that is completely unorthodox to what we assume about the sensible Toyota brand. Somehow, they've merged their hybridized mission with emotional excitement for its over mainstream mission. It is efficient, has decent performance, doesn't look like any other vehicle on the road right now, and practical. I do believe the price of the loaded Platinum models is maybe $5-7K too rich, considering this certainly encroaches on loaded ES350 territory and even entry E350/540i/A6 class.(and those have favorable lease rates to boot). But I applaud Toyota for trying to make the sedan-class remain relevant, while trying to wash away the "old-person" image of the Avalon.
They should use this back for the 2025 RAV4 that would be sick just tweek the front a little make the back a little higher, better MPG and better info entertainment system
