Again, based on your reviews, we decided to look at the Crown Signia. The XLE trim is amazing. (We really didn’t want the large moonroof.) Thanks for all of your informative, entertaining reviews.
I have driven the ‘25 Crown Signia Limited for about a month now. Approximately 700 miles. I have the same observation with the torque. The engine “feels” like a V6 when you are driving in Normal and Sport Drive mode. The full-time AWD does feel like you are actually in an SUV. Turning radius is very good, if I have to compare this to my previous 2016 Avalon. The seat is comfortable and we have been stuck in traffic with it. I hope that Toyota will come out with the “Platinum” model and maybe add the power steering column, HUD and maybe the retractable roof. I have been only using 91 octane for fuel and I have been getting 35mpg City and 42 mpg HWY. My only complaint is the manual steering column and no roof racks/accessories.
Excellent engineering and awesome style with great utility for all around modern ride that will last for decades to come. My last Sienna had been running flawlessly at 335K miles for 2 decades and traded in only because I wanted a new Toyota Sienna Hybrid.
Jeff from Memphis here! Love your channel! It's a real shame they made this panoramic roof fixed and not allow you to open it to let outside air in. Toyota missed on that one.
They can label it SUV all they want, it is very wagon shaped, shaped like the Outback. Which is good, wagons can certainly make a comeback now that we have much more fuel efficient drivetrains today.
I thought panoramic view monitor was a gimmick until I experienced it... When you have parking OCD it becomes a must! Our Rav4 & 4Runner have it and my next one will too. So LTD for me if I go that route... The GH LTD is the other option.
Great video. Great job introducing the Signia. I don’t understand Toyota’s lineup with this. It’s actually more premium than the Lexus NX which has a lot of cheap materials. However, the prices are roughly comparable. It’s not the Venza “replacement” either. Venza had more standard features that are options on the Signia. There’s also roughly a $10k difference between the trims.
Hi,Jeff. Is there an option of adding the JBL sound system on the XLE? I really don’t care for the extras on the Limited (Panel Roof, 21 inch wheels, memory seats and so on.) The XLE is almost perfect for my needs just need the JBL sound package. I hope Toyota listens to their customers on options.
Jeff - How does the Crown Signia XLE drive/ride compared to the 25 Camry XLE? How is the HVAC system in the Signia? Another reviewer stated the Camry XLE drove/rode nicer, and had a better AC system than the Signia. I'm in South Florida, I need stellar AC.
Camry 2025 has 5th gen hybrid. Crown Signia has 4th gen. If Crown Signia has 5th hybrid, which is smoother and more refined, it would be near perfect for me.
I prefer the XLE with the 19 inch wheels that provide more options for winter time tire replacement. I live in Minnesota. The non glass roof on the XLE will probably provide more interior headroom.
Hi Jeff, I am thrilled to see this new model on the market 🥳🥳🥳🥳and more thrilled you folks have a choice of trims. Up here in Canada we have a choice of Limited or......... not buying one at all . ☹☹
I actually prefer the XLE. I think that the panoramic roof is a total waste of money. I like the rims better on the XLE too. I wish that they offered an interior color choice. The black interior is BORING. The brown is okay, but a lighter color overall would be easier on the eyes. I am nearly 70 and finding things in a black interior. Also dust shows badly. I had rain sensing wipers on my 2011 Avalon and I hope that these work better.
I'm actually thinking of buying the XLE. I hate panoramic moonroofs. Prefer 19" wheels. Don't need rain sensing wipers. I'm not an audiophile so don't care about the better sound system. I look at this vehicle as a high end version of a large Camry wagon alternative.
I think they're assuming the A/C system will last the lifespan of the car, which it won't, even for a Toyota today it's rare. But yeah, the glass roof that doesn't open will just microwave you.
Agreed… or at least make it so the shade opens for the rear passengers independently of the driver… I don’t want to suffer under the hot blinding sun just because my passengers want to see the sky!
Honestly, it reminds me of my 2024 Subaru Outback ...mine is the touring with turbo and AWD and great ride and less price...the mileage may make up for the price in the long run until you keep it long enough for a new battery...i would have to test drive it before I was really convinced......oh I forgot to see if the spare tire came with the XLE...the Limited did not but had a space for it
When these start being sold, I’d ask the dealer how much it’ll cost to fix/replace the seal in the sunroof. For the Highlander, it’s $6,000 to $8000 to replace the panoramic sunroof seal. I am hoping with this being a fixed sunroof, and Toyota maybe improved the design, that’s it’s a bit cheaper to replace the seal.
can I get the Limited with the 19's instead of the 21's at no extra charge? (should be a discount, tbh... to correct their mistake in forcing 21's on you if you want 360 camera, digital rear view, etc)
I bet he said no? I wanted to order the rear camera washer on an XLE dealer said no! It's on the Limited only. I hate the glass roof, 21" tires, and all that radio upgrade😢
Is Toyota starting to move away from the Softex seating surfaces? I noticed this with the 2025 Camry reviews. Perhaps there's been a big demand for leather seating? Also, I don't understand why Toyota is insisting on fixed glass roofs.
When i compare XLE and limited in the toyota website says limited has this suspension but XLE doesnot. Will that make XLE ride harsh? Independent MacPherson strut front suspension with stabilizer bar; multi-link rear suspension with stabilizer bar
Compare with Venza, new Signia missing electrical frost roof, auto rain sensing sensor, electric steering adjustment and less ground clearance, less fuel efficient, 0-60 slower. But it cost 12k more. It doesn’t make sense!
