My wife and I have already decided that when her Outback wears out then we’re replacing it with the Crown Signia. We would have bought the Venza but it wasn’t available with Tan or Brown Leather interior
you still have to run the exhaust piping to the rear and depending upon overall vehicle ground clearance you may need to indent this into the floor pan , on a high clearance suv or pickup it wouldn’t be an issue, so just not having a driveline to the rear doesn’t by default result in a flat floor pan.
21 inch wheels? What’s the point? I really mean that. Why are wheels getting bigger and bigger almost every year? How much will those tires cost to replace?
I'd say this is more of a tall wagon than a crossover. Dimensionally, it's only about 1.5" taller than the Prius V wagon while being about 11" longer. Sure the ground clearance is like 1" taller, but 6.7" isn't going to get you anywhere off road. It just doesn't have enough ground clearance to be an SUV/CUV. There's plenty of tall cars that aren't crossovers, and I feel like this falls into that camp. Mazda 5, Ford C-Max, Scion XB, Prius V, Nissan Leaf, just to name a few. I'm fine with them calling it an SUV though, because I hope with them making it a bit taller, they trick more people into wanting these things and maybe the wagon segment will see a bit of revitalization here in the states.
I have a Prius V and was shocked to find that this Crown Sig had 9 cu. ft less cargo space behind the 2nd row, and are virtually equal with the 2nd row folded flat. However I think the V has more useable space due to its taller roof.
@@francoa.9646 damn, really? That's crazy. I wonder how much of that loss of space can be contributed to space beneath the load floor, insulation, and safety regulations? The Signia comes with space beneath the load floor to add a spare tire despite not having one. Does the Prius V have space beneath for one, or does it take full advantage of the car's trunk space?

I think in some ways, the Crown is similar in its place in the Toyota/Lexus-verse the way the 5th gen 4Runner is to its GX460/LC Prada cousins. The 4Runner is made in the same factory, uses common parts and driveline (it’s 4L is still used in the LC 300 in the Middle East) and gets the benefits of a great build quality and reliability. You get a discount for not having all of the luxury or tech items. The crown is kind of like that to its Lexus soft roader cousins. It’s a little less luxurious and a lot better looking. In Japan, the Crown badge is popular with businessmen and civil servants who want Lexus comfort but want to fly under the radar…. While $50k is high, I think that this may be a deal for the next owner… you don’t pay the Lexus premium but get a good looking luxury car. I always look for an imbalance in the market and this looks to be the next one. It’s the reason I picked up a 4Runner recently and how I got my Acura TSX Sportwagon for less than a comparable CRV

Like the Venza (which I own) it’s an overpriced Toyota not “Lexus light”. $50K plus for a raised Toyota wagon with prop rods for the hood, a stupid looking non-opening sunroof and 1-hybrid engine choice is not acceptable. The Venza Limited is NOT Lexus like and this car isn’t as well. This car needs to be 5-10k less expensive.
Tiny volume knob similar to the Camry which is a joke and a wonder if a radio/volum control is on the steering wheel sine the Camry is missing this as well.

As soon as he said the car started at $44,000, I stopped watching.
Now that my kids are getting older I can't help but think it's time to swap out the minivan
$50k and not even tinted windows?
$60 000 in Canada, and that's before taxes.
Digital rearview mirror?
Tiny volume knob similar to the Camry which is a joke and a wonder if a radio/volum control is on the steering wheel sine the Camry is missing this as well.
Is this Signia is really a "cheaper Lexus" when the NX is the same price?
If you watch All these Internet car shows , they All started to hammer the in “ the new Higher prices “.. not to bad , comes with a lot of, good deal considering “.. to lay the ground for this .. The war between “ dealers/ manufacturers and customers-was always who would break first - Toyota super high prices are a reflection of the Buying public losing .. Wars over , just as these guys list spec and are Not critical to the product ..
Selling like hotcakes, best in class
No HUD in USDM. Venza has it, big omission.
Crown sedan will be getting it next year I think, so they'll probably implement it in the Signia in a future updated model year.
I asked to lease this car and Toyota dealer quoted me $763. What a joke!!!
They should of shipped to the US the Crown Sport! Better looking and from I’ve read better performance
The XLE is the one to get if you are lucky enough to live in country where they are sold.
50k c'mon!!!!!!!!! I will wait and buy it used or buy the nissan rogue or get a rav4
Lexus Light as i have said.❤
I don’t know why you need a hump? Ummm probably sold with other powertrains in different markets!?!
The Jeep Cherokee was ahead of its time with the misdirection headlights
Pontiac aztek says hi
Not a great deal in Canada, a Lexus NX is on par. Toyota shouldn't have dropped the Venza.
44,000 is a good entry price point. what world am I living in. makes a 30,000 dollar 50,000 mile used 4runner look like a bargain.
What kind of world do we live in where we have a car which is bigger than the Venza and the RAV4 and yet its interior is not roomier than both vehicles.? In fact it is smaller. I cannot understand the logic behind this vehicle. I wish it had the room of an Avalon for front passengers hips, head and legs. Also, that central console gets on the way when trying to relax my legs or stretch them out. Big disappointment for me
It is Lexus money for Toyota!
Keep jacking the price up every year until no one is buying......
The auto industry is booming. Don’t hold your breath for them to cut prices too much.
Ok, I've now driven the Crown Signia limited 3 times. It is not on scale with Lexus Luxury. Noisy engine on moderate acceleration, cheap looking piano black trim. Seats are the best part of the car, some of the most comfortable I've ever sat in. Overall a good car but not at 50000+ We left without buying.
That's rose gold. Bronze my a$$😂
