Good video Thank You! Though our 1991 300CE has the full AMG body kit and the "correct" AMG 17x8 (ET28) Aero 1 wheels the exhaust note sounded a bit weak and we wanted the correct looking AMG type dual square chrome tips. After watching (and hearing) this and the other videos of the muffler delete we took it to our local muffler shop last Saturday to do the mod. At idle the car now has a low "burble" sound that increases to a high raspy note past 2500 RPM. My wife and I are in our early 50's and what we did not want was to sound like we borrowed our teenage son's car. We're happy with the outcome of the muffler delete on the coupe (and we do own a stock '95 E320 wagon for trips to church on Sundays ;) )
Yo bro so you just removed the muffler and straight piped it out with those tips? Or did you remove the resonators as well and straight pipe it from there? This sounds amazing as hell, I’m working on getting an sl320 and am def going to do this if so
Before I sold the car I did delete the resonator and added a magnaflow muffler in the rear but I didn’t like it. So in my opinion the best sound is just muffler delete and those tips
@@kylelive718 .. Answer is no. The rear muffler delete will not prompt a "check engine light" condition. .. A Catalytic Converter removal most certainly will though... I own an MY95 W124 E320 Coupe. .. Our W124's are pre ODB-II. .. All 1996 USA vehicles sold are ODB-II compliant. .. Cheers,
hey, did it loose some power after this mod? i have the same car, thinking doing this mod since it doesnt cost a lot and do make good sound, please respond, cheers

Hi. Tell me, did you do this with yours? I have the same car, and am also thinking about this.
Dirk Gerntholtz same here!
Hey for your E63 with the resonator delete did you do straight pipes or x pipe in place of the resonator
Whats the exact name of the tip?
Sounds like a bmw m54 engine ! 🤯
Sounds good
Where did you get the exhaust tips from?
eBay

Muffler delete makes you lose a bit of low end power for high end power. But on a big engine it's not that noticeable honestly
@@thevillageidiot70 alright mate, thanks for the info
