it made it nostalgic and a bit sad when you mentioned standing not far away when it opened in the 90s. I’m new here, I enjoyed the video. This episode brought me back to 2006..when i was 23 and i bought my first ever W124 300CE 24V coupe…I will never forget those driving experience especially with “sport” manual transmission…I remember later in 2007 I ordered directly from Japan full widebody kit…from the company named “VITT” it cost me a fortune but the plan was to make my Mercedes looking similar to “hammer” look..Regrettably the car was sold out later in 2009 (I was young and the financial part wasn’t that strong) and then the widebody kit was sold 11 years later in 2020…I miss the car even today..❤ Subscribed.

Awesome video man. Thanks so much for sharing. The edits and music were on point. I love the older amg's. They just have that muscular & classy look to them the new cars don't, and still plenty of power to have fun with on the road. I have a 1999 W210 E55 myself, but would love to try out one of those 6.0's or decked out 500e's. My mechanic also calls them the "last of the old tanks." Subscribed.
Damn.... remember reading about this shop from the SH article and it really resonated with me cause my late dad was a huge Mercedes and AMG fanatic. This video just popped up on my feed and you lured me in with the W124 thumbnail. I love the colour coded AMG wheels on these cars, they work so well. I also really like how Japan has preserved its culture - Its such a fascinating place, and they are so respectful of cars. The quality of aftermarket parts is also second to none I think - incredible what they spend on their vehicles often to improve the quality of them only, or on very small details. 7:14 I'm very fortunate in that I don't have to imagine the sound. The stock exhaust is actually whisper quiet at low RPM or idle. It may be a muscle car, but it's a Mercedes first. However, put your foot down and it roars - and it's almost entirely induction noise, not exhaust. Some owners go with a custom exhaust, but most keep it stock, at most adding AMG tips. Enjoyed the video, always a treat to see what our Japanese friends are up to when it comes to old Mercs.

This is cool to watch and a fresh way to enjoy automotive stuff without the usual shouting and overly hyped guy. Thanks Dino!
Thanks man, just can't do the OTT thing lol
amazing to see; thank you for capturing & sharing this bro 🥂
Hello dear sir Dino, I were glad to see this video, I big fan of Old school Mercedes especially Model W140 600S. I believe one day you will film about particular this model.
i just found this channel and im loving it!
Welcome!! Glad you found it ! 🤙🏻
Love the video! Can't wait to see more of your content. Hope you do a video about the Jimny's in Tsukuba 😉
Thanks! Yes planning to visit Rainbow Auto!
Thank you for posting this video!
We love Japan 🇯🇵, we love Germany 🇩🇪 ! From France ! 🇲🇫
The condition these are in is wild, mine and my parts car were nowhere near this well kept by the previous owners but this is the dream
Great contribution Dino! I wish I have a specialist shop like that in my city for my 500.
Where are you from? Hard to find parts for them?
@@dino_dc I am in Vancouver Canada. Yes some parts are difficult to find and many interior trim parts for sure.
@@cwsam1256I would kill for a 500E, I would trade my built Tacoma TRD sport for one straight across, no matter the condition
Great to see another video so soon
Square Mercs FTW
That purplish grey is Bornite Metallic(Code 481) one of the prettiest the 124s were delivered in.
Also passenger side mirror is smaller than driver one on all 124 regardless of engine
I loved that video. W124 is my favorite chassis.
Great video man❤️ don’t focus on the hate keep pushing
Thanks man! I don’t see any hate ❤️
Incredible, thanks for the tour!
Thanks Larry!
Great footage Dino…another old mercedes tuner/workshop you have to visit in Adachi,Tokyo… 5sense…they are specialist in w123 chasis…
I love the shops in japan. for random none car ppl it looks like a hot mess. but for car guys its the dream! Great video!

and fhe fact that is filmed on your phone, great work
Thanks! Only the vlogging part is with the phone, the rest Alec (@noplans) shoots on his Sony A73
My favorite Japan Car channel :D
Thank you 🙏
I love this video and cars, I am one of the lucky and happy owners of a 1985 W124 CE230, and trust me when I say I do not need anything else...
Great video. The pre merger AMG stuff is so intriguing. They combined everything into one car. Speed/Performance/Tuning/Style/Comfort/Luxury. I got a 95 E320 Coupe. And i love it. Curious, what camera are you shooting with. Great video
Love the style of the video!
Would love to see more such content!!
❤️
Absolutly legendary
as a W124 owner, I can set this vidao to loop mode and watch it all day..
5:50 My favorite kind of G-Wagon, so much better than the blinged out $200k Hollywood Hills G-Wagon. This thing looks like it would get you across the entire Sahara Desert no problem.
So true!
I use to own a CLK500 (14 years) now I have a GLE400 and a E55. I'm hunting down "Hammer" in manual transmission as a gift to my son.
Dino the GOAT.
So nice cars! Next time i have to visit this shop too
Bro watching these beauties is very satisfying
Thank you!
Great video. I loved the 500E so much I brought one, and was not disappointed
Nice!
Where? How?
Are u from US?
@@zekeyeager1458 I am in the uk but brought is Spain, rust free
@@bernardwarr4187 damn! Well congrats! Color?
The theme song / background music / soundtrack is "Acid Rain - Dream".
Nice video, 124 are awesome! 10:11 with the mirrors, the asymmetric size of the mirrors on driver and passenger side was intentional by Mercedes engineering from what I remember
That E60 is stunning
