I really wish the Moorgate extension was included with the route by default, it would be nice if Dovetail added it. Yes, I do know that the Backdated Trainsim Moorgate extension is the 90's, I meant if Dovetail added a present day representation of it.
The Class 460 from Master Key does this too, I believe it has something to do with the needle not reflecting the brake application while rheostatic braking is taking place. You can see a bit later on that the needle does move when braking from a slower speed, when there's no rheostatic taking place. Or, it is a bug with the 313, who knows...
I did a little bit of research just now, you were right Moleman, they have rheostatic brakes as well as disc brakes. Since the 313's are older, they aren't regenerative hence the term rheostatic. That would explain the needle only moving at lower speeds!
I've looked on your channel for a Great Northern 387 and can't find one. Have you done one or am I missing it? If you've done one, can you link it to me please? Thanks
Nice job! A question on the train simulator itself. If there's an old separate add-on that came out since 2014 but say I just purchased ts2018 as my first version, would the 2014 add-on work with the new version?
I know this section off by heart myself however I'd like to nitpick a little bit 1. You probably deafened everyone in the moorgate tunnels when you blew the horn in the intro 2. You seem to be fanning the brake a lot which a lot of driving instructors would kill you for doing. Apart from that I've really enjoyed the video, love the way you make them and I'm impressed with your route knowledge :)
Agreed. I'm pretty sure you're meant to gradually move the brake to full service or step 2 then come off gradually as you come to a stop to reduce deceleration time.
Kirkinstein Haha, I always do that at the start of every video as a demonstration. Other than that, I don't use the horn unless you would normally do so. As for brake fanning, I can honestly say Southern drivers do that all the time. But I would have a better technique and avoid it more if I had more time to practice a route. Alas, I don't have the time to commit to driving a route many times over to get in the required practice that real drivers get. So I do my best with the limited time I have. Thanks Kirkenstein, it's great to see you around again! :)
Could you do a journey from London Kings Cross to Peterborough slow in a GN Class 321? Also can you make a video of the PDL Waterloo to Portsmouth in a class 444 from Portsmouth to Waterloo? Thanks!! 🙂
Good evening Peter, happy new year 2018 train sim, have tried to down load the Moorgate EXTENSION TO THE E C M LINE route ,having the dlc listed it still tells me i have a file missing, on thebox at the start of the installation process it would appear to list a different requirement of dlc content i would appreciate your comments regards Davi Bradley
they are the same but the one on Steam only has one livery and the one on APs site has a ton more. its stupid they do that and everyone goes for the AP site stuff
This train is the wrong way round, the B motor coach should always lead into Moorgate, this is because if the pantograph fails to drop at Drayton Park, you can not cancel it. You can cancel it from the A motor coach.

I like what you've done with the colour correction Pete - Everything looks a little darker and more realistic. Great video!
Freaky not having any lights the show the line in the tunnels, great video dude
Nice one, Peter, as usual.
Absolutely spot on are your videos 👍🏻 A really good route & signalling learning series ... Thanks 🤓

A very nice scenario!
That's a particularly athsmatic sounding AWS horn on that train.
They all sound like that on the 313's
wow this is amazing, ive done this journey before

Random Railfan the backdated trainsim version is correct up to around June 2019
REALY GOOOD
You should do another run on this route now it’s been upgraded to be identical to the real thing
the 313s go 75mph on the third rail, they do from Portsmouth to Brighton
PTGRail, did you know that the real version of 313059 has been scrapped?
Can you do a tutorial on creating scenarios with realistic ai
At 25:14 i skipped a little bit so I don't know if this occurs before this. But at this time, the needle does not move when you apply the brakes.

that AWS sound tho lmao
The extension is not working I have london to peterborough but the stations are not loading :(
They defo got the design for the class 150 from the class 313.Identical body shell.
The Moorgate extension is working for me, but I prefer using Class 717 instead because I do not have APWaggonz Class 313 from AP site just yet..

can you route learning videos on bve and open rails
That route practise must take a while... When you practise, do you write down all the details?
When can you do the Stevenage Moorgate route

Yup! I got TS2018 for Christmas and I've got packs installed that date back to 2013/14. :)
Thank you!
Can you do the Merseyrail class 507 route. (Southport > Hunts Cross.)
That should read "Cancel the warning buzzer"

That's what I thought. In fact it's true, I learnt this from one of those old 3 step brake training videos.
Could you do a journey from London Kings Cross to Peterborough slow in a GN Class 321? Also can you make a video of the PDL Waterloo to Portsmouth in a class 444 from Portsmouth to Waterloo? Thanks!! 🙂
Great video as always!! I love 313's as they remind me of my favourite trains. MerseyRail 507/8's! Is this the DTG 313 or AP?
Train.Spotter.UK AP
When you set the destination board and the front you forgot to set the back one to red. Or am I mistaken?
Is the Hertford Loop available in TS?
Yes it's part of ECML London - Peterborough
@@Larwood. I know I'm late but it has no electrification, platforms or any scenery
Er that's definitely not true, it has stock scenarios on it and works fine, you might want to check your game file integrity.
@@Larwood. it exists, but the last time I drove it, it had nothing but grass and a west anglia mainline crossing under, but that was ages ago tho
Moorgate confirmed.
What sort of cost is it to get a pc to run a game like this as good as this?
The train headlights in TS are always hopeless at lighting up the tunnels.
Pretty realistic then. You can't see much down there!

Are there toilets in the 313s?
Nope! A bit of a pain when they are used on some longer journeys by Southern Rail lol..
PTGRail i bet in Scotland we have the 314s and no toilets lol but our 380s do
Christopher James nope
"It's a 313, it's a 313, they get flat tyres and you can't have a wee"
Kirkinstein 😅😅😅😅
Is the AP 313 the same as the one on Steam because the one on Steam says the dev is AP
The Transport Guide no, the one on AP comes with more liveries and the DTG 313 has one livery
I made the mistake of buying the DTG one :(
they are the same but the one on Steam only has one livery and the one on APs site has a ton more. its stupid they do that and everyone goes for the AP site stuff

Annoying BREL rarely sold their products abroad. Never treated like a separate business which could have made money.
