Your overly formal voice, always make my day 😂😂
It’s not even intentional, but I don’t talk formally like that in person. :p
@@PTGRailyou certainly do a good job of making it seem intentional though 😄
I think it adds a professional touch to the videos.
Stunning locomotive!! Thanks from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Great video. I just purchased this route last night and find its not as bad as I first thought.
Another brilliant video, Peter. I know the area very well as far north as Banbury. Tame is the correct pronunciation of Thame, and Beaconsfield is pronounced Beckonsfield. Also, Aynho Junction where the GWR line from Oxford comes in is pronounced Ane_o.
With regard to the slow low speed acceleration of the class 67, this may be down to the specification when it was ordered. That was to haul Royal Mail TPO trains in and amongst HSTs. The acceleration from a standing start of the 67 and 43 on Train Simulator seems very similar.
If you plan to do a return journey, from observation while frequently driving alongside the line between Wycombe and Princes Risborough, Chiltern railways use more class 168 DMUs than class 67s on the Birmingham run. From a real life cab ride video on UA-cam by a Chiltern driver, the acceleration of a 168 is much better than a 67.
Thanks very much for this excellent video.
Great work Pete.
this was one of the lines i grew up on. it's a shame just trains didn't extend the line to Kidderminster (where i used to live). with my Class 150 reskins and chiltern trains i'd use this line all day.
Very nice trip!
Moor Street in Birmingham is centrally located than Snow Hill where Chiltern trains sometimes terminate.
Awesome Video, Really Enjoyed :)
Great video!
Thanks! :)
Nice work,thanks
The Chiltern main line starting at London Marylebone, immediately goes through St John's Wood tunnel, and then through a second tunnel. There is a bridge between the tunnels where below is the West Coast main line before just before it goes through Primrose Hill tunnel towards Euston. At the end of the second tunnel from Marylebone the line is not too far from the Midland Mainline where Belsize tunnel is towards St Pancras. Then we pass through West Hamsptead interchange, where the Jubilee and Metropolitan underground lines are, the North London line from Stratford to Richmond and Clapham Junction, and Thameslink from Bedford to Brighton. There are yet no platforms built at West Hampstead for the Chiltern Line. The Chiltern line goes across the West Coast main line for the second time near Wembley.
Been on this route in recent years including 2019 to Birmingham. Forgot to mention that the Cross Country section between Banbury and Leamington Spa runs on the same line as the Chiltern trains.
What a brilliant stadium Wembley
Great video as per normal!
Fantastic video 😁👍
Good learning
Just before you got into Bicester North you cross a line which used to be known as the Varsity line, so called as it linked the University cities of Oxford and Cambridge. There are plans to reopen this line between Oxford and Bletchley on the WCML to begin with and the potentially onto Bedford and Cambridge. Also the line that diverts off also now goes right into Oxford.
Bletchley-Bedford never closed.
Could you possibly make this scenario available ?
I think a Manchester York Malton(my home town) Scarborough would be great,or Scarborough Bridlington Hull would be great, thanks for the videos,i luv `em !
The windows open at 100 mph that must have been frezzing
Really enjoying the vid so far, the graphics look bloody amazing again and you've made a route that dosent look too good look amazing. I wanna know your secret ;)
Also next time could you go full thrash just for the benefit of the bashers :P
I know im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?
I somehow lost my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Marcus Nikolai Instablaster ;)
@Julien Gerardo thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm in the hacking process now.
I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Julien Gerardo It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my account !
@Marcus Nikolai you are welcome =)
can you do a run from London Euston to Birmingham New Street with the 390?
ricky gallè Dovetail Games has not made A West Coast Main Line London Euston To Birmingham Route Yet.
The only parts of the WCML including Trent Valley, Over Shap and between Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Lime Street on the Liverpool to Manchester Route.
@@transportationuk7656 but third party developers have released the Euston to Birmingham
Thanks Pete :-)
Do you ever open the Passenger doors
I live at this route
Good videos but why do you over react when the train hits 1mph over the speed limit? A DTM looking at downloads would not bother about something so minor. Applying the brake for 1mph is a complete waste of time, effort, energy and affects passenger quality of ride. In regards to cutting the power it is better doing it gently to save lurches on loco hauled stock
Wish they would extend it to Worcester, I enquired and there reply was that they're too busy 😣
At least they replied 😉
Do u have anys reason why my class 150 is basicly broken after installing the class 150/156 pack but my 156 is working ok
great video could you do a acela one please. keep up the great work
Hi mate.whats your next video? Any DMU vids coming soon?
I think drivers would apply more power into the yellow zone, But it was a fab video why not use a Class 460 Alstom Juniper.
Yay! New video!
Hi do you have eny Scottish routes
Scenarios?
How much fuel would a run like this use?
great video, how come you didn't use the EM2000 screen?
I forgot it was there. It's not something you really look at when driving, and doesn't do much lol
Hey just a heads up its pronounced Haddenham and (Tay-mm) Parkway
All the trains that does the route that are loco hauled are class 68s
They are now, they weren’t in the past. Class 67s were used before 68s.
Great vid, what pc do u use? I ask because I’m wondering which pc would run the simulator games comfortably.
will this work on my laptop mate
Great video and just saying bordeseley the e’s are silent
Can you please do Watford to baker street
You do realise that not every route in the world exists right?
The class 67's were made in Albuixech (Valencia) but they were constructed by Vossloh, not Alstom
Was alstom that built them, at meinfesa, which was what the company was called prior to vossloh taking over if i remember correctly, so nothing to do with vossloh, they built the 68s though im sure
Btw Thame parkway is pronounced tame
It is pronunced Haddenham and Tame Parkway and Marleebone
Oliver Blake no, people can say Marylebone how they like.
Yes but Haddenham and Thame is pronunced Tame
that not true!!!!,,,,,,,??!!
Archie my name
Archie
It’s pronounced haddeden and tame park way
it's pronounced tame, not thame.. you don't call the river in london the th-ames do you?
Indeed not, and I see the link now. But equally I wouldn’t pronounce the Early Modern English word “thine” as “Tyne”. English is a weird language full of contradictions that don’t follow the rules lol.
You don’t spell sugar “shooger” either. That’s the English language for you
Peet Gee
That is the route I am looking to travel in the near future with this type of train that was once the Wrexham & Shropshire unit, one of many nearly a decade ago. Like the scenes at various stations including Wembley Stadium as the express train speeds through. I did travel along the full route in 2005.
1:58 110 mph actually
Poor old PTG, all this can you do this route and that route and pronounce it like this and that and no one offering a penny to help produce these great vids. All want and no give.. How very British.
you actualy pronounce Thame 'Tame'
Do people ever throw themselves in front of trains on Train Simulator? Another aspect to add to the realism I guess.
The Ymid it would be cool, but dovetail would have to up their age rating to a 12 or 15, so no.

WHY THE JUST TRAINS CHILTERN MAINLINE??! THIS ROUTE IS HORRIBLE!!!
because he wanted too, it's not all about what you want
Well I guess I do have to applaud him for driving on such a terrible looking route without cringing, but even so no one should buy it, not even in a sale.
Eeehh, I recommend giving this a watch ua-cam.com/video/nUJH2s073sU/v-deo.html
