Hard water and static can also cause frizz ... those are my main reasons. So when I refresh, I use either distilled water or spring water in my spray bottle, and I use an antistatic spray to control some flyaway. I have fine 3A/B hair that's silver platinum, and silver hair can sometimes be dry, too. My solution seems to be a stronger hold gel along with the other solutions, especially sealing in the moisture. ❤
I bought the Curlsmith hairspray after you mentioned it in a vid, OMG it's so good! I know exactly what you mean about it adding definition, it's magic!
You have beautiful ❤️😍 hair Hannah, and some brilliant tips and tricks to help curly hair so thank you! Can you please please do a video on once you have styled and diffused your hair. Once you have used a curl cream and foam, once you have used the strong hold gel. Instead of scrunching it straight out once dry, put the hair in a silk bonnet and scrunch the gel cast out in the morning! Its a really good tip to make sure the curls stay in place by Morning, please try it and let me know how it goes. It works well for me on time to time ❤
I would apply your hairspray once you have wet, styled and dried your hair either naturally or with a diffuser for your curls! I presume that you have naturally curly hair?
@@laurasearch4155 yes, naturally. I’ve been growing it out and it’s curly/wavy a lot like yours. Very fine though. I just learned from you that heavy gels is great for fine hair. It’s a game changer! Most tell you to use lighter gels on fine hair. Does not work for me. So naturally have been really liking the Curlsmith strong hold hair spray. Just don’t see you use any serums to break the cast of gels. Is there a reason that you don’t? Or am I just doing it for no reason at all. Haha
Sorry Laura, I thought you was Hannah replying. I didn’t notice till after I sent. So disregard the me not seeing you use serum comment. Haha. Thank you for the answer though. I can use all the help I can get.
@@Cap7597 That's ok I also have naturally long curly hair, and I understand it can be a nightmare to look after! But once you get into a routine it can become easier to manage, wash, style and dry your hair! I use curl smith natural oil in cream, flora and curl sweet hubiscus curl volumizing foam then Giovanni extra hold strong gel! The curlsmith cream will last you ages when not used to much, the foam isn't too expensive and works well for me. And the Giovanni extra strong hold gel once added with water and scrunched in helps. I don't know if you use a diffuser, but I do and that was a game changer for me! I use the babyliss plantinum diamond diffuser because it's half price on Amazon ATM and drys my long curly hair well, as well as give me good volume and functional frizz! Aussie shampoo and conditioner in Aldi are really affordable and also I use the Aldi lacura hair oil which was only £4-99 in Aldi! You only need a couple of drops when you're hair is very frizzy and you want to keep that down. I also use a denman hair brush, to detangle my curly hair when wet in the shower 🚿 once conditioner is in. And for styling my curls, when wet I use a maxmana secret curl defying brush to form the curls once my hair is clean and wet with the curlsmith cream in first! I also found once you have washed, styled and dried your curly hair, instead of scrunching out the gel cast once dry. Wash, style and dry it in the evening, put your hair in a silk bonnet out of the way, sleep on a silk pillowcase and scrunch out the gel cast in the morning! This is so the curls stay in place, and they are also out of the way! Please please let me know if this helps, and if you already follow any of these tips and if I have helped you!? I feel like I'm writing my biography lol 🤣🥰.
Hi Hannah, just to let you know they do a lovely 😍 lacura 50ml honey hair oil in aldi now and it smells and feels lovely! Curly haired girls/guys should try this, remember a little goes a long way and its less than £5! 🥰
It has alcohol in it and that dries out curls. Curlsmith is alcohol free. Pantene and herbal essence have alcohol free hairspray as well if you are looking for a less expensive product
Most of the people are complaining about the humidity frizz but for me it s a problem the dry air, sometimes i look like i have a dry wig, especially after the 3rd day😅
If you diffuse curly hair, try using a curl cream to prevent frizz, foam for volume and a strong hold gel to prevent frizz and hold in curls. Please let me know if this helps, it helps me! 🙂
letting my hair dry before I plop seems to help my hair, also. Let the lengths dry first for an hour or so. My hair stays wet for almost the entire day, even when down, though and most of these tips would not work for me. I've had decades to practice dealing with high porosity, coarse curly hair, and all of this has been tried and more and I still have frizz. :/ Any and all heat makes my hair strands swell up and be more delicate and difficult to deal with.
I lost about 1/3 of my hair when I went through menopause. Now it’s growing back mostly in the back bottom of my head. Now I have this rats nest of curls back there. It looks as if I have no length because the curls are all frizzy and scrunched up toward my head. Idk what to do 😢
Giovanni strong hold gel should help you, once you have used a curl cream to prevent frizz, foam for volume, then the strong gel should hold the curls in place once you have scrunched out the gel cast when hair dries! Let me know if this helps, it helps me with my curly hair 😊
@@karen8785-d3y your welcome 🤗 because I also have curly hair, and I know it can be a nightmare to look after at times with frizz and knots! Is your curly hair long or short just out of interest? Mine is long also curlsmith are a really good curly hair product brand! 🥰
Also I forgot to mention when you use the Giovanni strong hold gel, use it on wet hair when styling. But remember to mix it with water, because it's a very thick gel. Then once your curly hair is dry, remember to scrunch out the gel cast!

Is hard water just how hard the shower head is coming down? Should I change it to a lighter setting? And what's static?
@@JasmineNorman2007no hard water is the water itself, it’s when the water has a lot of mineral buildup
As a wavy fine haired girl I love to clarify 2x a month and then use a protein deep conditioner
Pixie diffusing has been the game changer for me (thank you for the suggestion in a previous video!!!). Thank you for the tips!!!

When do you apply the hairspray? After drying of coarse, but before or after applying serum to scrunch the crunch?

Whenever i scrunch my curls with product, i get frizz. Is there a way to avoid this?
Can you recommend an affordable diffuser and something for volume
When you put your curly hair up in a bun, by morning it should also help give volume, I also style my curly hair upside down sometimes.
