Me right now. It’s not because I’m insecure of it rly, it’s more because I can’t find a method to not get it frizzy! Because even if I do have curly hair, as soon as I go out it looks like a straight, frizzy mess.
Reasons of frizzy hair : -lack of moisture - weather -product buildup (using products that are heavy or using too much ) -touching it too much -protein overload or need of protein How to prevent it : -add moisture using deep conditioner once a week , -squish conditioner into hair , detangle your hair when its soaking wet and squish it . -add a lot of water when shampooing conditionning and putting products on . -Protect your hair overnight and oustide (when its raining put it in a loose pineapple) -clarify your hair if you have a lot of dirts once or two a month with sulfate countaining shampoo -use right products for your hair and find out whats work right for your hair . -
Me, too. But I've learned that this means you need to continue conditioning your hair. Check the products that you're using.Don't worry. Give yourself about a month or more of this technique. I'm in my 2nd week. Best wishes to you! You'll be gorgeous!
People always say I have “perfect curls” they don’t realize that it’s only for the first 45 minutes to an hour after my shower. I couldn’t figure out how to get my curls to stay awesome all day and this helped so much.
You cant, even with products or coconut oil, it stills get dry. Lots of time, we just tie it up or use clips but get a nice curly up do. Sometimes, I'll wet my hair again and just reapply more product but then that leads to product buildup :((( but cutting regularly is really the way to go. Long curly hair like the way this girl has it in the video isss way too much to deal with, costly and sometimes unrealistic (for me at least lol)
@@Jellynouri yes..but what type is it?? its normally good if it doesnt have chemicals or anything because conditioner is suppoused to be v moisturizing for curly hair because our hair tends to be drier then other types. I would suggest to maybe look into a type of oil or hydrating cream to really lock in that moisture but completely up too u! xx
I usually apply a thin layer of coconut oil in my hair after i shower, it has really helped me get rid of the frizziness and it works on all hair types so make sure to try it out!
Thank you this helps so much. I used to have sleek straight hair but about a year ago it began to curl. Now my hair is really curly but frizzy and the frizz made me feel insecure, so this video has helped more than you can imagine.
Here I am having lived over 30 years of my life finally learning how to properly care for my curly hair..... reason I am doing it now instead of sooner, because I have 2 girls who also have curly hair and decided I should help them learn to love their hair and how to properly care for it like I never did because I was the only one of my immediate family with curly hair, So teaching myself so I can teach my girls.
Ahh thank you! It’s actually in need of a reshape at the moment, but next time I get it cut I’ll talk about it in a video. In the meantime, I think I mentioned my cut in my curly hair volume video as I’d just recently got it cut 😊
hanzcurls that would be a great video 🥳🥳 where do you get your haircut, I’m from London and haven’t had a curly hair cut yet and been curly for a year! Think a cut would take me to the next level 💜💜
Just now in the middle of the night found your channel. Been looking into the curly gir method for a few months but I got so confused. Thank you for making it understandable! I have almost all the products and just ordered a hair dryer with a diffuser. Can't wait to see if I can get this curly crows frizzy nest to look like something. 💗
This was the best video by far! Loved the transparency & emphasis on the individual characteristics of each person's hair needs. She's not trying to sell a product! Refreshing.
My boyfriend tells me he likes Merida and I'm like...kinda sad, but he tells me that my hair looks a bit like hers (Still, I don't know why he says it bc my hair isn't even red, or that curly, it's a bit less curly, but full of frizz) :(
I started my return to curl journey a couple of months ago, after a lifetime of heat styling and chemical damage. My hair is not in great shape. I have tried several methods and today I found this video. It was wash day so I watched and went to work implementing all the tips. My hair is obviously still damaged, but my hair is so much less frizzy. I am absolutely so grateful. I don't look like I stuck my finger in an electrical socket and I can see my hair battling to return to it's proper natural state. Can't thank you enough for such a detailed and explained video.
I just started my curly hair journey a month ago. Before I used to just put it in a bun, or try desperately to straighten it. The change in the health of my hair since I started letting it be its natural self is amazing!! Your vids help me SO much! Thank you
same here. the hot iron has damaged the areas near my face so much that i almost get no curl there, so have to braid that area (sometimes) and allow the rest to be curly - until the damage grows out and gets cut off a year or so from now.
Love your hair! In the part about humidity, the best defence for frizz is definitely having well-moisturised hair, but the hair isn't reaching out to get moisture from the air. The moisture is getting into the hair and disrupting the bonds within and basically making hair curl and zig-zag all over the place and swelling the cuticle which creates frizz. But you are totally right that healthier, moisturised hair is the best way to overcome frizz!
I don't think I have ever left a comment on UA-cam before but I am so glad I found your channel! I have ginger curly hair too and straightened it for over a decade before deciding this year that my new year's resolution was to give up the straighteners. It's a journey! Your videos are super helpful and I found Noughty thanks to you. Thank you for all your great tips
Yay another curly ginger! I’m so glad you found my channel too and so glad you’ve found my videos helpful. Good luck with your curly journey🧡 Also, follow me on Instagram if you don’t already as I’m always posting stuff on there too 😘
Thank you so much for this video! I've always had problems with getting my hair less frizzy and the frizz always took away my natural curls. This video was like a game changer for me! The frizz is almost entirely gone and my curls are actually staying the same throughout the day! Thank you so much!
I just found your videos and omg they are amazing! I have looked everywhere for a good video to help tame my mane and you have the best tips 😭 it’s so hard to find tips that actually work that aren’t just use this product and that product. You actually go into detail!
Thank you for this video. I'm the only one with curly hair in my family and didn't know how to care for it. I tried the tips you showed here and after just one time showering (and much less touching haha) my hair looks much better and way less frizzy!
Curls are curls people.... it doesn't matter what type. Just appreciate that others are out there giving all this free advice. Stop knocking each other down, and build each other up.
I neglected my hair for a long time because the "curly girl methods" seemed too daunting and complicated, but now that i'm trying it again im already noticing tighter curls :)
I'll definitely be subscribing for more tips. My hair is incredibly difficult to tame, and I'm pretty sure these tips are going to help me a lot because I already discovered some of those methods by myself. Amazing content, keep it up!
Thank you for this video! Would you ever consider doing a make up video too?! Or even just showing what products you use? I have similar coloured hair and complexion to you and I’d love to know what colours you’ve chosen because they work so well for you! Xx
I'm glad you explained why the oils never actually reach the ends. I noticed when I straightened my hair every once in a while, suddenly my hair would get greasy super quickly, probably because there were no more "detours" for the oils :D

I love watching you! Such great tips and your tone and accent makes me smile🥰I have also found when my hair gets extremely frizzy and lots of fairy knots appear it is time for a haircut.
I've been doing the curly girl method for about a month and I love the results that I have had so far. My first-day hair is amazing, with a lot of volume and beautiful curls. I sleep with my hair in a pineapple (however I don't have a satin pillowcase and that might be my problem) either by the second day or third day, my hair is super frizzy and tangled. Typically the front doesn't look too bad but the back is just a huge tangly mess. I'm going to get a satin pillowcase and watch your video on how to correctly do a pineapple. Also are there any hairstyles you recommend for days you don't want to wear your curls down? I've been putting my hair in a claw clip but that might be contributing to the giant tangled rat's nest that my hair becomes. I'm on day three hair and I decided to brush it out but I hope to overcome my hair getting tangeled.
Im here for tip to give my daughter with very long curly hair that we just dont know what to do with! For years Ive been asking hairdressers for how to care for her hair, and all they do is frown and hand me silicone products, which then make her head smell terrible. Hey I have curly hair, but I know you shouldn’t brush it dry but I HAVE to unless it’s a mess! Is there a way to keep it brushed overnight while keeping the curls for morning? I also shower at nighttime, so I can’t just wake up and brush.

Reasons of frizzy hair :
-lack of moisture

-product buildup (using products that are heavy or using too much )
-touching it too much
-protein overload or need of protein
How to prevent it :
-add moisture using deep conditioner once a week ,
-squish conditioner into hair , detangle your hair when its soaking wet and squish it .
-add a lot of water when shampooing conditionning and putting products on .
-Protect your hair overnight and oustide (when its raining put it in a loose pineapple)
-clarify your hair if you have a lot of dirts once or two a month with sulfate countaining shampoo
-use right products for your hair and find out whats work right for your hair .

Hey I have curly hair, but I know you shouldn’t brush it dry but I HAVE to unless it’s a mess! Is there a way to keep it brushed overnight while keeping the curls for morning? I also shower at nighttime, so I can’t just wake up and brush.
