A few details are in the video description. The engine had some stuck valves, used a lot of oil, and needed to be overhauled. A local machine shop offered a very reasonable price if they could use parts they had on hand for a different build that fell through. The rebuild is a 69 Z28 clone done about 30 years ago.

Use a rich 2 stroke mix down the carb to lube everything up, it also cleans up gum in the carb......

Chevy had a 302 engine before Ford
But I've only seen 283,327, and 396 in a 65 I thought they only the 302 in the 1st generation Camaro
