I’m so sorry for your loss I’m extremely close with my dad as well and my twin brother and I have worked with my dad remodeling houses and historic stone walls since we were twelve years old, he was severely injured in an electrical shock accident and barely survived but never recovered from it enough to work with us anymore but I am so thankful to have been able to live a life of a journeyman’s son and best friends, cherish your memories and never forget how blessed you are and celebrate his memory brother ❤ god bless you

Neat side story for you, My wife's Great Grandfathers Sister were the ones that struck oil and built the Settles Hotel ,I took her there a few years ago to see it, she big in genealogy and family history. She was asleep in the chair well this morning 4am and woke up just as you were showing the first views of the hotel. It made her very happy. It is a most beautiful building, thanks for sharing, I love 12 valve dodges, had 2 should have kept my 98 5 speed, self tuning on it . om dyno she did 400 and 1086 wheel horse power ,it was a towing machine ,wish I'd kept it but worked af ford truck plant thought I should by one, flew from Kentucky to Phoenix and bought a King Ranch F350 ford single wheel sight unseen ,test drove it payed him and travelled to north rim of grand canyon and home trouble free. I later tore the 6.0 junk out and put in an 05 Cummins common rail. Later switched to twin turbo's in it, Still running had many many ask when ford put Cummins in them , my favorite sentence Ford didn't Tim did. Really enjoyed your video, my dad went on ebay buying trips with me I have lots of memories with him and my diesel trucks. I lost him last November 15 so enjoy your journeys . Wish I had my 98 12valve back loved that truck a factory 125 put down 400hp 1086 torque self tuned .very respectful in 98. To finish the story working were all Super Duty were made they hated my truck I thumped them every day for fun.

I worked on these for years at a Dodge dealer. Those engines last forever but I replace many injector and lift pumps on these. Anyone watching this video DO NOT CRACK OPEN THE LINES on the newer common rail systems, you can seriously injure yourself. But that was standard practice on the older trucks and I knew what the wrench was for as soon as I saw it.

The truck is leaking oil faster than you can put it back in, the brake rotors are shot and the brake fluid is going…..somewhere? It’s the perfect truck to put your trust in for a 2,000 mile drive home 👍🏻👍🏻

I always watch but never comment. Not only was this your best video, it was one of the best UA-cam videos I’ve seen. Reminded me of Roadkill a little but the father and son dynamic made it better. Thank you! Well done!

For nostalgia Rosie would be a cool name. Rosie the riveter. She was also on a sign in the really nice rest stop you stopped at.

Man great job! I’m originally from Illinois myself! Frankfort. Now I live in Tucson also, I moved here when I retired from my job. Dr. Recommend it!😂👍 used to come to Tucson on vacation almost every year in spring here, when it’s cooler. I have a brother in law retired from the Air-force here and a nephew and niece, I love it out here! Awesome seeing you guys rescuing those two diesel Dodges. Great work trucks, I knew a truck driver in Chicago that had one like yours, with the dualies. His had the same cumming diesel like yours. His also was a 5 speed manual. He loved that truck! He had well over 400 thousand miles on it, and still ran like new! But he always kept the maintenance on it. Great find on that sign! I also stopped at Buc-ee’s in Armarillo Tx. Right off of I40. Coming home from Chicago last summer! That place is a freaking Mall!😂 wish you the best for your new family! Hey! You just drove near my neck of the woods!👌😂👍triple t” truck stop on i10! I live right off of Valencia near Pima air museum! 😂👍
