Great song! My favorite part is the 'envelope filter' sound trailing off after "fox on the run" and throughout the rest of the song. I thought it sounded cheesy when the song first came out, but it's a unique sound that came from the early manually operated analogue synths of the day. They still use that sound in their live versions. Sweet has a long history and really should be in the R&R Hall of Fame

Brian. Every school boys dream to look as good as he did. And every school girls fantasy love.
Damn! This band had hit after hit. I was 7 and I still love these songs now. Hall of famers in my book.
Born in 1968 and grew up listening to all types of good music in the 70’s and then the great 80’s hit!!!! Fun times for sure!!!!
Was a huge fan in the 70s....middle school for me....
If this song comes on the car radio, I WILL be singing loudly. 🙂
Great days fabulous band very very sadly missed 😢😢
Born in '55...early 70s was my era.....
I still play all 70s music.....all the non ageing classics were my time....best era of music...i was so lucky....❤❤❤❤
Mick, Steve, Andy and Brian. LEGENDS!!!
As a teenager in the 90s I was going through my aunt’s old band T shirts in her room at my grandmother’s house. I found a Sweet Tee and an April Wine shirt and once I listened to the bands, I was hooked. I wore those band tees out and still listen to Sweet and April Wine.

I may have only been 4 years old when this song was released but I loved it the minute I heard it and it has always been one of my favourite songs, and I still love it now at 53. ❤ Hell… The Sweet has always been one of my favourite bands!!! Love pretty much every single song you guys released!!! Poppa Joe was our friendship group signature song when I was 16 😂
I was 4 years old when this song came out. My sisters were 12 and 15 PRIME music lovers. They were my built in baby sitters which meant a lot of time listening to albums in the basement in 1975.
This was my first exposure on to music and 70s music is still I passion. I even learned how to play the keyboard. GREAT song.
very similar story..I was 4 too and my teen bro's running around the house singing this!..first song I think I can actually remember..Cool!
This song makes me want to go roller skate in a roller rink all doll'd up! I love the Sweet so much! They give me so many good feelings! Loved this song since i first heard it on the radio! 😍✨ Wish Brian and Mick were still here. At least they will always be alive in the music. With every new listener thier spirit remains alive. Thank You for the music and inspiration my beautiful glam rockers! ✨💕
I used to collect bottles just so I could roller skate on the weekend.
Deserves Rock N roll Hall of Fame, band a head of times
Oh how I loved growing up in the 1970's with all this fabulous music!!! 💜 💜😊
Steve Priest, I can't thank you enough for the wonderful music you made. RIP.
I was 10 years old when this song was released... I'm 57 now... still a great tune!!!.
nice. i am 60 =)
I remember it well just a year behind you fantastic took me right back to better times
How Sweet it is, all I can think of is playing air hockey, and when this song would play at our roller rink everybody would hit the floor. Memories indeed. Thank you for posting this.
The roller rink. Oh yeah, I remember that.
I love everything about this, the attitude (especially Steve Priest's), the costumes, the synth, everything!!!!!!
I heard this for the first time two days ago, it's great
What a great song. It's probably been decades since I've heard this. A lost classic!
Mick Tucker was a great drummer! He played some of the best triplets of any drummer! RIP Mick😔
The years of my youth were great times.
I had posters with Sweet covering my boyroom walls back in the 70s. Playing all the records LOUD every day after school. Just pure skill and joy from Sweet.
The synth and delay on the vocal make the song. It would be a great song without it of course, but the production makes it a hit song.
Wow thanks for sharing that! I never would have noticed it if you hadn't pointed it out.
Absolutely awesome tune miss this kind of music

Sweet were one those bands who had songs that were always upbeat and are still timeless. 1963 boy.
RIP Steve Priest, bassist and founding member.
😭😭😭😭
Good night, God bless you were great RIP
I am here because I love this band!!!! Wish I would have cherished more groups from my teenage years. Glad I am still here to enjoy and appreciate them now. Sweet is awesome!!!!!!
I had this 45 in the late 70s and I played it over and over everyday . My first favorite song. Thanks, Sweet.
I cannot believe that Stevie priest has been gone for 2 years already, brilliant musician, in a brilliant band
GLAD that I met him a decade-plus ago in CT; signed my 'Best Of SWEET' insert - just ONLY wish I'd gone with the BOOK instead of sequined T-shirt.....
R.I.P Steve. Thank you for all the wonderful music.
I love Sweet they deserved more views...🇬🇧🏴🏴💋💖
Sweet for ever. RIP Brian, Mick und Steve, wir vermissen Euch💝🎼🎤🥁🎸🎶🌹💓
Sweet was one of the very few bands that were able to thrive both during and after disco died out.
That's true--Sweet definitely had much competition when disco and other music genres came on the scene.
Sweet never was considered disco, during that Era we called bands similar to them Glam Rock
Long time favorite of this song, but when Steve Priest does the "foxie on the run", it just makes me wish he'd had more of a solo part in this song. He had a great voice.
He had a helluva voice. Every member of the band had good pipes.
A great song during the 70's. I still listen to this sing.
Once again, I will say that our music is by far the most innovative, the most important, the most mind- blowing.......I could drone on and on....
Awesome mix vol. 2
RIP Steve Priest. Thank you for the memories.
I lost my fox to cancer sucks but I am grateful for the time we had to Heather best girl I ever loved n loved me back I miss LAUREEN PITTEY

Well said mate sadly missed 😢😢
My dad used to play this song all the time as a kid, to anyone coming here from a movie trailer, welcome to awesome music.
You get old, but the music stays young !!! It is amazing - People in those days did not realise how good these musicians actually were.
I was 14 and ready for high school when this song came out - this really takes me back and I loved this band then. Steve Priest's backing vocals are so unique it's impossible to copy! Underrated band!
This song never gets old!! Excellent!!
Great song from the fantastic 70's
