It was brought up when he got drafted, he doesn't have a passion for football, he is just really good at it. Josh Allen had to fight with no Div 1 scholarships and many other QBs had a passion for the game. I just don't think he has the passion.
Generational talent is definitely thrown around way too much. By definition it should be just reserved for guys like Michael Jordan, Tom Brady. Or more recently maybe Shohei Ohtani. Instead of saying generational talent when describing a star player coming out of college, it would be more realistic to say potential future hof, or potential top 10 player in the league.
We have to remember that Trevor Lawrence played for Clemson, in the All Cupcake Conference (ACC), so of course he looked great then, but the NFL is totally different.
Trevor isn’t generational but he’s not bad he gets a lot of blame even though he is stuck with bad play calling, defense that is not pulling much weight and WRs who drop passes more then catch them
Even though Trevor Lawrence isn’t a bust, but over the last three years, he was never going to be “Generational” the Jags had thought it would be considering the 2021 QB Draft Class have been a missed opportunity.
Trevor hasnt been as bad as everyone claims. Has he been generational? No, but for as bad as everyone claims he is hes basically top 10 in everything despite having the worst points lost on drops in the NFL by an absolute Massive ammount every year for the last 3 years(its not even remotely close). Along with the worst D the last 2 years, its more the trash Jags franchise doing its best to run everything into the ground as ussual. Jags are gonna Jag, and if Trevor can overcome that it'll be a miracle.
@@TheGridironYT in terms of stats he's top 10 in TDs, QBR, INT, and 11th in yards. And that's without the PPA on 4 Dropped TDs(he should have 13). I'd say he's right around the 10 mark. Dudes got 1 1/2 years before his other deal kicks in, by then he'll be the 7-10th highest paid QB.
In his defence, they've never put him behind a good o-line and nor have they really given him a true No:1 wide receiver. Still not worth that contract though.
He never played against defense in his life until he got to the Pros and also he's playing for the most irrelevant team in the Big 4 sports (yes, worse than the Sacramento Kings). His brain blue screens when there's defense.
Lawerence problem is that he is lazy, not accurate and he cant read defense... no one will say it since they only uses those descriptives for black qbs...
@@bbyoungaf33if you watch the games. His receivers drop a lot of passes.... a lot. I dont know if he's great but I know hia skill position players are reliable
Ah, he hasn't lost a fumble in 2024. Not helping with that defense. Given time he can throw it into a shoebox. He has a 66 MPH fastball. He's on a miserable team but he is still young and has a high ceiling.
I started researching the SEC some years ago because the conference represents corruption, IMO. That led me to research Trevor L. I came away from my research on him possibly living a lifestyle other than he seems. I also learned Trevor’s parents seemed shady in their ambitious, thoughtless quest to secure his enrollment in SEC colleges as a QB. SEC was complicit in this nefariousness, too IMO. I wonder what more deserving high schoolers were passed over for SEC QB positions in favor of Trevor??? Well, clearly it is evident at his high school level Mr. Trevor undeservedly earned his QB position in the SEC because he is failing in that QB career at the professional level. Mr. Trevor needs to step away from pro football, find his genuine career niche and pursue that.
@@rakheem351 I do not like the corrupt NCAA- period! That is why I research its methods. NCAA or whatever I always cheer for the Big 10 and other conferences that include Michigan colleges and universities. I earned my degrees from Michigan schools and remain loyal. Thanks for your replies.
@ednaamck3831 o no I completely understand I somewhat agree with you about the corruption but it's less on the p4 conference's and more so on the governing body of tge NCAA and the rose bowl and orange bowl and other major football stadium owners

Makes sense based on Mr. Trevor’s professional performance.
Listen to his pre game speeches the passion ain’t there
If you don't have a passion for something you don't play injured. Trevor does please know what you're talking about before you try and make an opinion
Tru I would question his passion
Every ACC game he had was passion. Pay him money he’s already done the most for our small communities

Media always pushing narratives
That clip on Caleb didn’t age well after 4 TDs against the jags
Williams is not a bust, he realised that the Pros are different to college
It’s just one game but still don’t think he’s gonna be generational

Good point
He just doesn’t care
Yea he might not as much as others in the league
Wow ,over 1 million a week ,if his goal was to be a millionaire then he succeeded.Unless things change he will be forgotten as a quarterback.

Making Lawrence the 2nd highest paid player is crazy.
Lawrence is the 12th highest paid QB, yall don't know how contract extensions work

I’m not prepared to call him a bust yet, but he’s been pretty average. He Shows glimpses here and there.
