But for some reason I can not for the life of my get rid of it all. My baby is 20 months old now. The scale wont budge past 140. Im stuck between 145-140. So I just joined a gym. I have been sooooo guilty of treating myself on the weekends. I don't do that now, but it's a hard habit to break. I will occasionally give myself a little something (hosting a shower soon and I will have cake), but, I do not use it as an excuse to 'fall off the wagon'. I was very guilty of that too 'well, i ate like crap yesterday, so may as well continue for a day or two (or longer). Bad mentality.

My problem is I can’t “cut” very well. I just had breast reduction surgery this June and was 135 as a 34DDD+, had to quit vaping for the surgery and that’s when I started gaining weight. After the surgery I was 140, I couldn’t work out so eventually added up to being 152. But I already have so much muscle I don’t look 152 pounds. I’ve been working out for the past three months now and I have gained more muscle but I have not weighed myself because I am too scared to see 152 pounds still.

    • @LoveSweatFitness

I’ve never touched sugary drinks, but love a glass of fizz (or two 😬)with dinner…..a classic example of drinking calories. To be honest when I stopped stressing about food and just focused on eating non processed foods and watching portion sizes and moving my body (nothing bonkers)for at least 20 mins a day I began to drop fat! I still struggle to balance my fizz habit though 😂 ..it’s my only vice lol 😂

I have a really silly question, and it is silly because I am a health coach and a health and physical education teacher. I'm not perfect and definitely don't have all the answers but this question I have had for so long. Okay...so with fats. Is it too much to have fats like twice a day? For example, I love doing a chicken and rice bowl and add olive oil to it. Then if I have, for example a salad for dinner... I want olive oil for my dressing. Obviously I don't pour a ton of olive oil on but having it twice a day, is that too much? Same with having avocado. LOL Thank you for all you do :)

However, when you are focused on being healthy, genetics can't prevent being unhealthy when you don't fuel your body right. Eating “clean” during the week just to “enjoy” having a drink at a friend’s birthday doesn’t seem like a healthy mindset… You shouldn’t have to “earn” a drink or a treat by restricting yourself from those things during the week.

You just defined a balanced lifestyle. I’d say that is a very healthy mindset. You don’t need to “earn it”, but yes, you do have to limit certain things if you want to see results or maintain them. That’s simply how our bodies work. If that isn’t a priority for you, then don’t do it 🤷🏼‍♀️
