1. Add veggies to every meal 2. Positive self-talk 3. Use your hand as a measure of healthy portion size 4. Create a consistent bedtime 5. 10 minutes of movement each day 6. Track how different foods make you feel, physically 7. Cook dinner every night
Committing to put on my exercise clothes first thing every morning -- whether I exercised or not -- changed the whole direction of my days. Eventually my 5 minutes of movement became 10. Then 15, then 20-30. The main thing was building the habit. The rest took care of itself as I started to enjoy and depend on exercise for my energy rather than coffee and sugar (which I still like, but don't depend on).
I am so glad I saw your comment! I have been struggling with trying to become a morning workout person and I had been trying to go all in and just do it, but seeing the way you added in movement in the morning in increments was like an aha moment for me! So thank you!!
1. Add greens to every meal. 2. Repeating positive affirmations 3. Use your hand to determine a healthy portion size 4. Create a consistent bedtime routine 5. Adding 10 minutes of movement 6. Tracking how food makes you feel physically 7. Make dinner every night
I absolutely love your channel and all your tips thank you so much. ☺️ and congratulations 🍾 can’t wait to see baby. I started my weight loss journey a month ago and have lost 9 pounds started out at 192 and now at 182. I know I have a long time to go but it makes it easier with your videos and inspiration. Now down to 180.6 I’m now at 179. 😄 dec/6/23 I'm down to 168.8 Update had a couple birthday party’s within the last couple weeks, I had fun but now getting back on track that’s all I can do. Hope everyone is doing great.
These are really great tips and I like the idea of ADDING rather than TAKING away. That has been such a struggle for losing weight on my side of things is the things to remove rather than just adding healthier habits.
Stumbled on this and happy I did. It’s been so helpful just to have in my mind. Ate a cookie yesterday and felt terrible and realizing I’m eating too much even of the healthy stuff. I’m on my third listen and find this so helpful. I know of these things but don’t put myself first so I don’t do them. I’m working on this and the timing of hearing your message is perfect. All very doable. I subscribed and can’t wait to hear more from you.❤️
I do love these videos! One thing I love about your approach is that you ADD these things to your routine. This helps me not feel like I have to give up something. I feel like ADDING enough good habits and I won't have room for the bad ones, or less room for them. Thank you so much!! 💓
This is the best 'Daily Habits' video I've ever seen. Its reasonable not out-of-reach. I can do this!!!! Ive never heard anyone mention tracking how food makes you feel. Thats brilliant! Thank you
I love how you tracked how foods made you feel. I treated myself to ice cream yesterday for Mother’s Day, and I haven’t had it in months. I felt like crap afterwards, I literally fell asleep in the car on the way home. I usually have so much energy that time of the day. It definitely makes me second guess whether the 5 minutes of ice cream is worth it. I did take a walk once we got home, and felt so much better, though.
I really appreciate how you give tips on smaller things we can do to change our lifestyle :) Sometimes I feel like media makes it seem like we have to lose weight quick to be attractive/special/etc. when really we should be focusing on living our lives but in a way that keeps our bodies happy and healthy! Thank you for giving advice and tips to people (such as college students aka myself) who can make these changes without feeling like we have to go 110% all of the time!
Yess.. I have tried alot of these.. my favorite is move your body for 10 mins a day... now I start my workout and I don't want to quit lol when a few years ago 10 mins a day seemed like such a task. 💜 congrats on baby!! HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!! 💓
Thank you Katie for all that you do !! I needed this!… I’d like to try to lose my weight before trying to get pregnant this year Happy 1st Mother’s Day 💕
I absolutely love these videos! esp this one because it talks about portion sizes and adding things/positive psychology and manifestation vs removing things and punishment! it's soo hard to have pos self talk. would love to see more of these like pt 2 and//or more 10-20 min exercise videos!! 🙏✨️💓
All of these are so doable for me, I need to get back into the habit of it. You helped me like 5 or so years ago lose like 30+ pounds and I felt so amazing. Now I've gained it back and maybe some extra. I'm getting married in November and want to feel good, and look amazing in my dress. Adding these to my everyday ASAP. Also, so happy for your pregnancy announcement!! Congratulations!!!!! :)
Thank you so much for this video! You are very motivating and inspiring. Congratulations on your 45 pound weight loss! That is an amazing accomplishment, as well as keeping it off, which is often more difficult than losing. Bravo!
I added in Wing Woman to my coffee, Slumber Party with just hot water at night and at least one protein shake every single day and it’s already boosted my mental well being and self confidence in caring for myself. I highly recommend these products. Still haven’t made time to work out, but your 10 minutes a day advice seems like something reasonable I can add in to my schedule which is always over booked, double booked and way over capacity. I have two kids and have zero alone time so your videos really help me incorporate little things into my life. I can’t wait to see how you come up with great advice to stay healthy once you have your baby and adjust to the new schedule! Thank you for all that you do!!!
Great tips as always. Also add staying hydrated all day and integrating a food journal as an external journal is what helped me shed weight and maintain healthy weight 😁 Thanks Katie!
I like your portion control with your hand and I'm going to try that. Usually when I'm eating right I do half the plate fruits and veggies and limit the grains. I really like the tips about paying attention to how you feel physically. My body tends to react/overreact to a lot of foods especially when my fibromyalgia, chronic pain disorder and leaky gut is flaring up. My body tends to have a hard time getting rid of the junk and toxins too so I might suffer for days after eating certain things. I started my weight loss journey in 2008. I had a brain tumor and 2 unhealthy pregnancies that resulted into 2 pretem babies that spent time in the NICU. I did good things and made many mistakes throughout the years. I first started cutting out juice and soda plus cutting back portions like you did. Then started adding in healthy foods. After that I joined a gym and consistently started working out.I have kept most of it off even through 2 more pregnancies where I ended up having full term babies. I agree a healthy lifestyle makes you feel so much better!
These are all very wise and helpful tips that I actually came across on a day that I’m struggling to take care of myself. I used to be somewhat fit and active (military background) then depression set in and I’ve been really struggling with a sedentary life for many years. What a helpful video this was! I am on a program to lose weight and really relate to how good all of these habits are, because they work! I do all of these and the one that really always resonates for me is adding veggies to my meals, particularly in the morning, Peppers, onions, whatever I have around, I use Pam in my pan and stir fry them in my frying pan and then I add my egg whites. I also switched from bagels to whole wheat english muffins. I usually do 30 minutes because those numbers going up and up do really drive you. For me the 3rd one that really works for me is a variation on yours, which is journaling. I journal how I feel but also what I eat and at the end of the day, I have a record I can feel proud about. Thanks for such great inspiration!
I’ve watched you for so long your channel has grown so much and I’m so proud of you and happy that you’re having a baby ! I can’t wait to see the baby vlogs and what I eat in a day for baby and me 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 yaaay
I really hope you see this comment because you have single handedly positively impacted my life through one of your videos. Hi! I'm new to your channel! I found it while searching "exercise motivation" and came across your last daily habits video where you talked about adding 10 mins of movement. I wanted to thank you for this idea. I started doing the 10 mins of movement with my kids. (We do an Encanto dance UA-cam video) 10 mins was perfect to start my wellness journey. I struggled the first week because that's how our if shape I was. Doing 10 mins allowed me to build endurance slowly but properly. I also have never been so consistent with anything wellness related till I started this. Because 10 is easy to commit to. I'm currently 3 pounds down but more importantly I feel better. I can go up my stairs and not get winded. I'm also doing this with my kids and teaching them wellness and healthiness is important. Thank you soooooooo much!
This is a great video! I love the advice you’re giving us it is always so accurate and helpful. Thank you! you are always stunning! ❤️🎉 congratulations 🤰🏼 🎈
These are great daily habits! Being mindful of how foods make you feel is so important. Nourishing our bodies with foods that make us feel good is powerful and life changing.
I love how you talk about "that girl". In the book Atomic Habits, the author states to start with your Identity. I am a girl who eats healthy and exercises.
Thanks so much for your tips. Being in my 50's, I've had a sweet tooth since menopause began & I'm paying the price now. I've got more weight to lose than I want to admit & I definitely need new ideas/advice. I've tried to see a nutritionist but, they want give me the time of day since I'm not a diabetic & I don't understand. You though mentioning about adding things like greens to my foods daily really made me think where I know I cold cut things like that up real fine & just add to pretty much anything. I too need to throw all the processed food away that I eat & try to figure out more healthy sweet snacks to eat. I sure do appreciate your ideas.
Try cutting your carbs drastically. Energy is stored in your body as fat. Start with 50 g a day. The low fat craze has been a real downfall and outright lie.
Love this!! I really need someone to keep me accountable and just these steps seem like they will help keep me accountable. They are easy to follow. I’m hypo too and have tried restrictive diets, they don’t last long term. I’m excited to try this on a smaller scale to stick to it and see long term lifestyle changes. I also got your 3 programs. Hoping I see results. I have trouble making dinner every night with kids and work. I will try planning ahead. Thanks for making these videos. Congrats on your pregnancy!! So happy for you. 💕
Thank you for sharing theses tips to motivate others and teaching us how to add things to our daily routine…it is a lifestyle not a punishment for being overweight
Been adding greens to every meal for only a week and let me tell you it's a game changer! More energy, not feeling sluggish or stuffed and more bowel movements so less bloating. Thank you for sharing😊
Also greens n veggies help with hydration! Great stuff! I’m gonna try them! Also congratulations on your baby! My babies changed my bedtime for many years.. so I struggle greatly sleeping at a good time. But hopefully it gets better!
Can I say I love your channel so much and I just got all you protein and the other 3 powders I can't wait to try and review I have a hard time absorbing protein and excited to try your product.
Hello, so glad I found you! I’m binge watching your videos. LOL! I have had Hypothyroidism most of my life and have struggled to lose weight. I am also working on getting a disciplined daily routine and starting to track all my nutrition and fitness in a daily journal. I hear you about the wine. I work at a famous winery in Napa Valley. 😊🍷
Great wonderful tips. I will tell you as a mom of 17 years and a small business owner that has a fluid schedule many of these are challenging to be consistent with. But all so mini that they are great to be reminded about.
Please do more videos like this. I feel that I connect with what you say and really implement it into my life. Also do you do 6 meals a day? I also love your protein powder. I have the vanilla and chocolate. The chocolate is my favorite it’s like drink hot chocolate. Yum!
I really like this approach, especially tracking the way we feel physically after eating foods. My problem with that, though, is that I tend to feel nauseous after certain "junk" foods but I know I do because of the bad conscience of having eaten them - with me, stress of any kind manifests as stomach ache. How could I approach this? I can't seem to get rid of feeling that bad conscience :(
I agree, I make dinner each day! I try to eat as organic as I can! No preservatives, coconut sugar, honey, nothing package, everything fresh homemade, and lots of water! 15 pounds gone kept it so far for a whole year! Great great advice!
Thank you so much for this info. You look great. This makes a lot of sense. I’m a senior and I try to keep up with myself I’m probably 7 pounds overweight but can’t lose it. This will be in my head every day.
I really needed to hear this. Just a few minutes ago I was so frustrated with my body and feeling like a failure because I just broke my crash diet and then out of nowhere ur video popped up in my recommendation. I will be incorporating this in my life. Thank you for the video
Gotta be honest...#6 is a game changer. Normally for lunch at work, I'll have something fun to eat or convince myself out of my lunch and into some McDonalds. But today I committed to a caesar salad that i made and a protein shake. Real talk, I felt better for the last half of my shift. I wasn't sluggish, gassy, bloated, sleepy. I drank plenty of water and was regular. My energy levels, attitude tolerance and patience was on point.
I already started adding greens to my meals! That's how I figured I could add more veggies to my diet. That and cooking every night. Sometimes I get lazy and want to order out but I'm trying my best to stick to it. 😄
I kept this video on my watch later a long time ago and just watched it for the 3rd time which sounds ridiculous, but it is good, reasonable advice that I like to be reminded of.
Have you tried any of these??
Yes I have tried,I've heard you mention a couple of these tips before and took your advice and has been so helpful in my life
Hormone regulation is so important! I learned that the hard way unfortunately
Happy Mother's day Katie!!

Hey Stephanie
How are you doing
I like your portion control with your hand and I'm going to try that. Usually when I'm eating right I do half the plate fruits and veggies and limit the grains. I really like the tips about paying attention to how you feel physically. My body tends to react/overreact to a lot of foods especially when my fibromyalgia, chronic pain disorder and leaky gut is flaring up. My body tends to have a hard time getting rid of the junk and toxins too so I might suffer for days after eating certain things. One example of a diet I tried in the past was eating yogurt (because people say it's good for you), but yogurt makes me feel ill and then adding in granola or oats added insult to injury. The tough thing for me is I react negatively to so many foods so I have to figure out a balance.
Yes a part 2 will be great! I will watch any video you upload.Your very motivational, inspiring and informative..thanks for all of your hard work
Happy 1st Mother's day!! And thank you so much for all the Wonderful useful advice!!

Thanks so much for your tips. Being in my 50's, I've had a sweet tooth since menopause began & I'm paying the price now.
I enjoyed this because you spoke of everything you can ADD not take away 👍🏻
Yes, please, a Part 2.
You’re amazing, i’ve learned so much from you!! thank you :)

Thyroid- girl problems
Wow, stumbled on this and really appreciate this advise.
Definitely trying this weight loss journey
I already started adding greens to my meals! That's how I figured I could add more veggies to my diet. That and cooking every night. Sometimes I get lazy and want to order out but I'm trying my best to stick to it. 😄
Thank you for sharing this!
Loved this video! Please do a part 2
Thank you for making it so realistic
Everything you say makes sense.
I kept this video on my watch later a long time ago and just watched it for the 3rd time which sounds ridiculous, but it is good, reasonable advice that I like to be reminded of.
So, what time is best for taking your thyroid medicine??
The hand, is amazing 👏
I have a fit index body scale that I love. I don’t look at my weight as much as I look at water, visceral fat and BMR

This sounds like good sane advice. Can it be applied to woman who are post menopausal?
