My biggest issue is having the mental willpower to not fall back into old habits and eat all the junk food I want
Interesting the only thing that's ever helped me with hypothyroidism and insulin resistance is cutting carbs and eating more protein and fat! Back in my size 2 after four years Struggling. My doctor was very impressed with my blood work and took me off all my medication since i'm now in remission. Praise the Lord!
I love this!!!! And you are right about the last tip!! Right now, that is my goal, concentrating on my actual results.. I’m almost a size 8, I haven’t been a size 8 in almost 10 years! 🎉 great video
Thank you Katie! Love your videos!! 🥑
Great video Katie! Good info🎉
Love your videos!! Such good information always
Love this Katie!! Thank
You
Great video, thank you for the tips!
Love this! Preach on that last one- scale is just a number. Body composition is so much more telling for me than the number on a scale
Thanks for the video ❤️
Thanks for this info
I love this! Thanks for the break down.
Loved this video! Very relatable 🥰
Great information!
I just resubscribed to your Move app. I've really been needing help with motivation and structure. Really looking forward to help from your app! ❤
I'm so happy you're back! Can't wait to see what you do with it :)
Great advice!! Thanks
Thank you! Love your videos ❤
I find your content so helpful, thank you for sharing and motivating ❤
I'm so glad! 🤗
Thanks Katie for making this video. Your last few vidoes have really helped me. I fell off the wagon a while back and just recently got back on again. It feels good taking those small steps that like you said add up. Your meal plans and motivating videos have helped with that. 💪👟🥰
im so happy they are helping! i love when small steps build to something bigger and we look back like...ok WOW! :)
Love this and all the content really. I’m enjoying the MOVE app and the meal plans for SSD. You have been teaching me through the meals how to eat and fuel my body again. The workouts have challenged me so much but I enjoy how you keep it fun and struggle right next to me lol. Thanks for all you and the team do. Happy to have this in my life ! ❤️❤️❤️
Awesome! Thank you! I'm so happy you are loving it and glad you're doing it with us!!
Thanks for sharing
I need to implement a lot of these! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Number 12! I'm going to start taking pictures and measurements from now on. I have insulin resistance right now and I wouldn't have known that if I didn't get it checked out. Thank you for this video. Lots of great advice and info.
What has helped me is a lot of what you mentioned. I eat healthy but also don’t deprive myself. I love chocolate. So, I let myself have it. I just don’t overdo it. Also, finding a workout I enjoy helps. For me, that’s dancing. It is high cardio but also helps the development of lean muscle mass. You had some great tips! 😊
I’ve increased my protein intake chicken prawns turkey fish salmon 🍣. I definitely feel more toned and I do Pilates and now weights. It’s a day to day thing. I’m diabetic and nearly 59 years old. Great advice you give.
Wow this was really interesting 😊
This was a terrific video!
🦾As someone with osteopenia, I definitely struggle with figuring out how much to push my workouts. It's hard to tell how much is a healthy challenge, and how much is causing further bone damage. Glad for these great tips, as always!
🥑 this is the first time I’ve heard to eat more carbs to lose weight! Good thing I love sweet potatoes. Thanks for the weekly videos! I just recently found your channel and look forward to watching your new videos. I especially like the easy meal prep and grocery staple videos.
Oh I'm so happy you're loving them and yes, sweet potatoes are my FAVORITE! Such a great source of healthy carbs to fuel your body!
🥑 🥑 all the time!!!! Thank you so much for these videos!!!!!!! 🤓
Thank you 💞✨💞
can you put all of this in a short?? ❤
Katie this video is perfect! Love your explanations and the sticky notes 🩷
I'm definitely using a few of these tips, thank you!
This was really helpful. I really need help with portions ? I eat at home and I eat extremely healthy clean food. Could you please do a portion video?
🥑 i am pretty good at eating healthy up until dinner time/late night then i eat too much or end up overindulging (sometimes to the point of getting sick / like eating a bunch of dessert)!
Great advise. I struggle with ramping up protein. I find having more than one protein shake affects my belly, got any solutions for that.
What type of protein are you using? If Whey, switching to plant protein (try LSF ;)) can make a big difference. If you already use plant, what do you put in your shakes?
Thank you for this video and for clearly explaining everything! 🥑
Will you please bring back your personal planners loved them so much I miss them❤️❤️❤️
Coming back for 2025! 🎉
@@LoveSweatFitness so excited Thank You 😊
I absolutely loved this video. The way that you presented the information was phenomenal. I am personally at extremely vulnerable time particularly due to stress, though I haven’t changed my exercise habits and dieting it was such an important reminder to recognize some of the other pieces. so really appreciate this and I really appreciate you. Thank you so much for sharing! 🩷🩷🩷
I'm so so happy this helped! Sorry you're under so much stress right now, but hoping this can help inspire at least a little change to help you start feeling good! xo
Hi Katie
Fantastic ! This helped me so much.❤
Awesome video! Can you pls link your necklace?? 😍
💪🏽+🥑 Your board is great to keep up with fitness and healthy goals during SSD24. Thanks for video.
Edit: shoe and candle link please
I really needed to hear this, Katie. Thank you for motivating me today. I'm definitely going to start paying attention to these 12 things more. I've been following you since I found out I had hypothyroidism 10 years ago. I have loved watching your journey and I think I'm finally ready to start my own.
You got this! I'm so happy these can help!
I don't think these things are obvious at all. 💛 I love all your insights! Nutrition is the hardest thing for me to get right.
Very helpful. Thank you! I’m struggling most with not exercising lately. I was pretty consistent for awhile. I’m starting a new business so things have been crazy but I backslid all winter. Also my ongoing problem is not prioritizing sleep. I’m hardly ever asleep before midnight or even by midnight. It needs to change. Thanks 😊
You can do it babe!
@@LoveSweatFitness just saw this now. Thank you 💚 ✝️
This was a very helpful video. I have a hypothyroidism so weight doesn't come off like it use to but I keep working at it.
don't give up, you can make it happen!
Cutting carbs has been key to my weight loss but I'm post menopausal. I would love for you to research whether or not your diet will still work for women of my age as well. I miss rice and sweet potatoes 😢
absolutely will work. cutting carbs can create weight loss, but it can often be unsustainable and challenging. Our bodies need carbs :)
Katie!! These are amazing!! So many of these things I have not been doing!! Not obvious at all!!
Thank you so much, Katie! I started lifting heavier a few months ago and the scale has gone up slightly and it has messed with my head! Even though people say "you look great" and I feel good. The scale can discourage. How often would you recommend weighing? Once a month? Thank you for your balanced approach. :)
Oh yes I totally get that! Yea, at most I would say 1x a month to just "check in". The hard part is any number of things could make the scale move up or down 3-5pounds from day to day so it's still not a great indicator, but can be somewhat helpful as long as you understand it's not the end all be all to what is actually happening.
Loved this video!!!
💪🥑problems setting goals
Great Video 🥑
Omgish I feel like i needed to hear this so badly. I have been working out and eating healthy, and slowly have moved to about 124 and it freaked me out. I have been dieting to get back down to 118 because I'm focused on the number.
Yes!! So glad it helped!
I agree with so much of this! I Definitely struggle with protein intake! Im curious how tall are you?
Are you using protein powder? I'm 5'6
would you consider doing a video on losing inches vs. not losing weight? I have increased muscle and have lost fat, but have not lost weight. I get discouraged, would love your thoughts
love that idea!
🥑 Didn't realize I may eat too much avocado at once. Thanks for so many good tips!
That can definitely happen! It is soooo good.
I'm definitely too focused on the number on the scale. It's a very hard habit to break. I should add strength training too. I do enjoy body-weight resistant training in the meantime.
Hi I love your videos
So glad! 😀
I stopped drinking alcohol for little over a month now and ive lost 5 pounds
Can make a HUGE difference
Finishing school up, and nutrition is so hard because i snack while studying or don’t eat at all🥑
🥑 nutrition is definitely the hardest. And that time of the month.
🥑💪
Nutrition!!! I either eat way too little or way too much!!!
Can you do a video on all foods that are carbs and how much carbs we need in a day?
check out my meal plans! it breaks this all down and gives you the exact amounts for each group per day w/ meals.
I enjoyed listening to the video but luckily I have still been dropping fat on high fat carnivore so I will stick to that with no fiber needed. I just eat until I am full. But I definitely need to work on getting my sleep together.
🥑🥑 I always go all in on nutrition and then a week or so later I go back to not so great eating habits.
what do you feel like trips you up the most?
🥑 The 7 Day Slim Down has been such a huge help in getting my nutrition back on track!!
I’ve been tempted this weekend, but filling up with good carbs, proteins, and veggies is keeping the sugar and fried foods cravings waaaaaaayyyy down. And this is coming from a sweet treat girly!
Happy day 7 of the Spring Slim Down, LSF babes!😍💖🥰
Thank you for this video! I learned so much! On another note, your skin just glows! What is your skincare routine?
Aw thank you!! My Natural Beauty drink has literally changed my skin! I've been doing a few other things to help like trying out at home lasers, but my actual skincare routine is super minimal. Wash and make my oil blend and that's it lately.
Yes! I don’t weigh myself at all, otherwise I get too focused on that number.
Nutrition definitely
My biggest issue is not getting my macros right on the daily. I can easily hit my protein, but I often go over my fat or carbs for the day
How do i get my stress down
ive straightup weighed 6 pounds less in the morning than the night before this is why i avoid the scale
Thanks, Katie! I think this video just confirmed my body dysmorphia, and how I think I should weigh less than I do. 😔 #13 I need to work on viewing myself differently.
💪workouts are a struggle for me . The diet portion is easier for me . I don’t eat alot of junk type of foods
Very wise advice. My cycling season starts today-if I could lose a third of what you did I would be stoked. Thank you 💜
Here for it. ❤
What are your thoughts on brown rice being high in arsenic? Since finding this out I avoid it.
Personally I'm not overly concerned about it with how much I eat, but you can always eat white rice as well.
💪🏻🥑it’s so hard to find good balance with my busy life😢
Oh girl don't I know it... it's all about priorities
Omg the avocado thing. I have been eating sooooo much avocado lately (like at least half a day) and my weight isn’t going down! This may be the cause. So thank you!
Also Katie to put into context your weight, may I ask how tall you are? Xx
Totally! I'm about 5'6"
Hi Katie! I do have hashimotos/ Fibro and endometriosis. Is it impossible for me to lose weight at this point? I know you have Hashi's as well but with all of these things combined, I'm curious what you think.
Absolutely! Weight loss is pretty straight forward really. Nutrition is going to be THE #1 thing for you to help with reducing body fat and helping balance hormones / feeling better!
Hardest part is to eat healthy when I am short on time. Also when trying to cook for a family with littles.
🥑 i love working out its the eating right thats hard!!!
Can you do a video of exercises that really help to lose belly and thigh fat?
Have you checked out my app MOVE? All of my workouts are in there :) lovesweatfitness.com/pages/move-app
@@LoveSweatFitness yeah I have I downloaded it but I’m 15 and I don’t have money yet😢
🥑 Hi Katie! Thanks for sharing your insights! Protein is so important and so many of my clients skip it too! I am right with you on that I will be going to my grave harping at people to eat protein LOL. Nutrition for me is on par except for chocolate- it seems impossible to eat less of it or even only eat it around that time of the month. That is my biggest struggle. Thanks for all the videos you make!
Great video and so helpful! How do you breakdown the exercise? Is it 30 cardio and 30 strength? I usually don’t have more than 30 minutes to exercise. 💪 🥑
Have you tried my MOVE app yet? All of my workout programing is in there, makes it so easy to workout from home. lovesweatfitness.com/pages/move-app 🤍
🥑 Postpartum has been hard 3rd time around. Usually I lose 20-25 lb within a week or two but not this time!
My issue is being too busy- kids in multiple sports and never home, always at a ball field. I cannot find enough healthy food i like to pack.
I don’t like eggs, kale, avocado, bananas etc
Has anyone else experienced acne/breakouts when adding protein powder to their routine? I was taking two scoops of Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein every day and had to stop due to the breakouts. I don’t know if I was taking too much (maybe try only one scoop?) or if I need to try a different brand.
I know Katie has her own protein brand and it’s really clean too. You should give it a try and it’s vegan too. She uses pea protein
That can happen from whey, you may be having a reaction to the dairy or something else they use. Definitely give the LSF protein a try, plant based but has a full amino acid profile to make a complete protein. lovesweatfitness.com/collections/protein-single-skus
Hi Katie! I would say 🥑 (nutrition). I eat pretty healthy but sometimes it's hard to stay away from processed foods or sweets. Thanks for this video and your encouragement. 💕🙏🙂
🥑 Thanks for the consistent motivation & information! I appreciate you!! ❤ The nutrition is always the hardest part for me. I'd LOVE IT if you'd share nutrition advice for women dealing with perimenopause/menopause. I know you're not at that stage yet, but lots of us are there. We still want to be fit & feel good about ourselves, but our bodies have different challenges now. It's hard to know what to do in this new stage of life.
#9 is the secret little kicker I need to incorporate! Get uncomfortable!
I got my nutrition on point my workouts have been slacking but I’m doing SSU so hopefully I get back in the swing of things
SSU is always perfect for refocusing in on your workouts :)
💪 🥑

💪
I would love to hear your thoughts for a vegan getting extra protein with large amount of protein powder.
Challenging! I wish there were more vegan protein sources, but it can be limited. Protein powder is a major helper here.
Hi Katie. Thank you so much for this. Quick question…I’m very confused about the idea of doing 10,000 steps a day. Is this something you do on top of your cardio? It seems like most health coaches push for 10,000 steps a day on top of everything else. I’m so confused. Please help!
In general, you will hear a lot of trainers suggesting 10k steps on top of your other workout. Does it work? Definitely. Is it easy for most to accomplish? No, not really. I like to break up walking into smaller sessions throughout my day, quick like 15 min walks can get you there. But, you can of course see results without the extra steps as well.
@@LoveSweatFitness thank you!! 🙏🏼
💪🏻🥑
Food allll day long, 3 kids under ten. I skip breakfast sooo much and then my cravings all day are wonky!!!
