Russianbadger military experience is limited to finishing Marine Officer Cadet training during College but opted out at the last minute and thousands of hours of military FPS games.... So not what you would call an expert on artillery accuracy
I think he just found it weird that he was getting pummeled so much no matter what. Unless they were thoroughly saturating the entire area constantly with artillery or the crews were so well trained that they can adjust their guns to fire within the immediate vicinity of a Badger constantly hauling ass in almost real time, it kinda felt like the rounds were actively seeking his asscheeks. That's my guess, at least.

The reason the Securitrons use grenades as close range armaments is because they basically have Tank armor for their chassis, there's a factory where they can be mass produced, and Mr. House sees every human who isn't him as expendable.
Besides, the new OS can still use lasers and machine guns, it just became a secondary weapon.

theres more than one divergeance it takes place over a set amount of time but towards the end of the great war ballistic weapons tech was around the same level as the mid 90s
correct, basically the world plays out like a "what if" story about what if people were stuck in the 50s while technology was still advancing all around them. results found that they wasted their natural resources and fought each other for what was left until everything got engulfed in nuclear fire.
I have come to yet again reccomend Campfire Stories by mikeburnfire. Plenty of episode cover topics and stories in the Army (and like 2 or 3 about the Marines). One time they complain about berets, another its a boar on a spit inside the camp.

The part with The White Glove society is even funnier when you actually play through that quest or even just...WATCH SOMEONE PLAY THROUGH IT cause if your willing to investigate further then just "they must be lying" you learn that she totally meant well mad had no idea about what happened. So it honestly really sucks to see him give her such a hard time.
There's something about that quest. It's my favorite in the whole game. Kinda reminds me of "Whodunnit?" from Oblivion. Just the whole snooping about thing is so fun, especially after I steal back my entire arsenal within a minute of walking through the door.

The gun the VATS guy is holding is the "Assault Rifle" from Fallout 3, also known as the R-91. It's a fictional 5.56 rifle that's very heavily inspired from the G3 and CETME rifles.
Kinda looks like Treyarch's C58 rifle in CW
HK33 already shoots 5.56x45 NATO.

That wasn’t an Osprey, that was a Vertibird. Vertibirds are pretty different because some Vertibirds have bottomside gatling lasers (Fallout 3 and probably New Vegas), and front facing dual machine guns (fallout 4).

There are two types of veteran stories, you have the terrifying imagery of an intense battle, and then you have the weird insanity that makes you wonder if you're a video game
"Fit the Fallout Universe into 40k" Technicly you don't have to mix up the timeline. It could quite simply be a long lost human colony in an isolated solar system, who has been bombed back into the stone age but retained ancient historical records pertaining to earth that convinced them that they are actually earth (and that did actually happen in the Horus Heresy, the very first book infact)
Btw. The year the world ended in Fallout was 2070, so it is Retro-Future. (essentially they discovered cold fusion & ways to utilise nuclear energy that didn't happen in reality, and it boosted the 50ths 60ths era so far forward it is an entirely diffrent universe)
I quite literally ran a Dark Heresy campaign in which the pc’s crashed onto fallout. Fun times. Ended up being a Tomb World.

19:31 In game logic, they have these so called "Factioned" Armors which gives you "Faction Attributes" depending where and which faction you received that armor and normally, these NCR guys would shoot you right off the face if you are wearing a factioned Legion Armor or BOS Power Armor (But they can be forgiving and it depends also on your fame towards each faction) even if you just happened to pick up that armor from corpses and the same thing as the Legion or the BoS.
Ya for the presidential mission there are 3 separate assassination attempts you need to prevent. The first is the bomb on the vertibird the second is the sniper imposter and the third is the guy who planted the bomb. He will appear only if the 2 previous attempts are thwarted and try to rush the president with a melee weapon.
Or make it super easy and aggro the bomber and disable his bomb. Easy enough

Been a while since I played, but pretty sure that weapon at 38 minutes was the anti-materiel rifle. The big 50 anti-armor/sniper weapon of the Fallout universe.

The Enclave was the remnants of the pre-war Shadow Government that actually ran the US (into the ground) and were primarily operating out of of a Poseidon Oil Energy Consortium Oil Rig off of the Coast of California, they had numerous pre-war technologies as well as further refinements of them, such as working aerotechnicals, such as the osprey looking "vertibird" aerial transport. - The ones that were not destroyed during the attack at Camp Navarro on the Mainland after the Enclave's destruction were appropriated by the Brotherhood of Steel and the NCR as shared spoils after their joint attack at camp Navarro. This particular vertibird has been renamed Air Force One and is probably the only one that the NCR have.
Edit: this is the major difference between Obsidian/Black Isle writing and Bethesda writing. You can track down pretty much anything to its source.

The NCR is decently far along in rebuilding a semblance of society, hence the formal military, president and a few working aircraft (even if they salvaged the aircraft from another faction and their elite Veteran Rangers are wearing recovered riot gear).

11:45 the weapon in the picture is the Heckler and Koch G3 used as the service rifle of the Bundeswehr in 1959 until the 1990s when it was replaced by the g36, but the G3 is still used today by German armed forces as a marksman rifle.

The Assualt Rifle in Fallout 3 was chambered im 5.56 so that'd make it closer to the HK33, which is essentially just a G3 but chambered in 5.56. It even has the correct HK33 mag in both Fallout 3 and that picture.

The cars in the wastelands are actually still full of their nuclear fuel from ages ago and can be repaired but are still quite dangerous. In the first Fallout there was a car that the player could repair and was a part of the first games finally where he drove across the wastes and may have been seen in later games.

The reasons why you do not want to take the surreal game mode:
- Only a handful of scripted events/Easter eggs that you can find on your first go around.
- Miss out on an amazing gun being replaced by an Alien Blaster, which is good but have very limited ammo.

There's this group that steals technology in the game called the Brotherhood of Steel who wear power armor and were declared enemies of the state, and yet their armors are kind of like a uniform, so only their people have it, so shooting people with their version of power armor is a viable tactic. In fact, if you're at war with the Brotherhood, everyone with that power armor will be shooting at YOU, so it's not like you need to hold back.

You can also sneak in the 9mm and 10mm submachine gun if your sneak is high enough. Also, Maria is beautiful. I love that thing.

Man had a couple targets in front of him and seeing him nail both in so short a span of time you'd swear he had someone off-screen helping him.
