Good video. Nice to see you using an affordable yet very competent intake. Thanks
half way through the video and had to order it, appreciate you! been trying to find the best one for awhile now cause i’m not trying to pay that $600-$700 for the banks one. thank you again and never stop providing awesome content for us! you’re my fav youtuber and i get so excited when i see you post
Appreciate it brother means a lot to me!!
This is exactly why i like your channell, and is a subscriber.
I dont have tons of money either, but i look for the stuff that does the job, even on ebay. That will make my truck run and look better. Im also thinking on getting the pusger intake for my 5.9.
Thanks for all your great videos.
thats what its all about man!! saving money and getting parts installed!
I am running Optima welding in my 4th gen. His transmission tune is awesome works great in the city. No lugging and down shift sooner so no dragging! And will not go into 6 till 60 100k for me! Pusher rocks brother got it on mine too and intake too! Goodbye intake heater! I am doing 12 Lites to the 100 km! Hiway mountains 14 15 city! 3500 4 door 8ft box! Clean tunes! Love my 2017!
Bro your content as always 👌! You've come along way since your first UA-cam video. Keep it coming. 4th gen baby!!! 💪
thank u dude!!
You're on the money with this intake for the power you're making. Seeing your sooted up intake reminds me I gotta tune my 18 fast.
all that soot is what is going back into your engine!!
Running the exact same intake horn. Approaching 700hp...also run the Pusher cold/hot charge pipes as well...with an s366sxe...no shortage of air flow! Good product cam. 👌
thank you bro! and thats good stuff man!
I have pusher intake as well and love it pair that with ict billet grid heater delete and my truck was happy
BANKS POWER!
Fed
After watching the video of you installing this in your 3rd gen, I bought one for my 08, I love the difference it made. Youre getting a bent feeler gauge to run the rack, its a must before you do studs
yessuh!!
I run the same exact intake on my 4th gen. I had it powder coated for like $60 and I love it
there awesome intakes man!
I was going to spend the $998. Thank you for saving me $900 lol seriously bro
Good video and I will be ordering mine today. I hope they’re not out of stock like everything else these days. Thanks again man hope to watch more videos in the future
I am a subscriber!
Flow per dollar!!! ..you nailed it!! The 5.9 common rail factory air horn REALLY leaves a lot to be desired. But a 5.9 owner has to buy the 6.7 fuel rail (and injector lines) plus the 6.7 grid heater delete intake plate on top of the 6.7 air intake horn in order to see gains like this. So saving the money on the air intake horn leaves some cheddar in the wallet for the fuel rail, fuel lines, and intake plate to be able to use this style intake horn. killer set up and maybe even more so for the 5.9 common rail guys like ME!!
Valve lash adjustment! Heck yeah brother! Great video again I got the same intake and I’m just over 1000hp still goin great!
yessuh they work as advertised!!
You are 100% right, ive got the banks 3.5 on my mega and i love it but i do agree that for bargain to performance the one you have is best!
thank u man, and nothing wrong with the bank intake mani it works excellent too just comes at a higher price point!
Have this intake on my truck and it's great SWAG keep up the mods man can't wait for the compounds to go in and im guessing upgraded boost piping coming soon
absolutely brother! and thank you Man!!
It’s your truck and your money you do what ever you want and I like your videos !
Always that major incredible life motivational to me.... I can't wait to be afford to put stuff on my 12v , upload video of the more I do to my dually on my channel. Praying I can start hauling things soon with my tow pig soon.
I just installed the banks monster ram with the banks intake plate, and it's the best thing ever.
Love your videos. You seem like great people. Keep sharing your passion. It’s your secret sauce. 👍🏼🇺🇸
Nice video bro. I’ve installed both banks and the one you have as well. Hopefully you don’t have any leaks. Im pretty sure banks doesn’t even make the intake horn with out the EGR port on top.
When did saving money and getting better performance become controversial. That's called a win win! Cool mod 👍 after my delete at 95k I never even looked at the intake im 208k now I'm scared to see inside but excited to see how she'll run after.
Definitely worth the upgrade!
The link doesn't work. What brand is this one
ordering that intake and and doing a grid heater delete ASAP. great content and congrats on the new truck
hell yea and thank you bro!!
I'm running the same one and it's really impressive. For the money it's a steal.
100% facts!
Your awesome man love your hospitality and videos! I personally run a banks luckily bought my truck with it on it 😄
thank you man and nothing wrong with that !!
Im lovin it man. Cant wait for some road tests too.
oh its coming bro! n thank you man!
Damn love these videos. Look forward to all of them🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
thank u bro!! and got a lot more coming!!
Thanks for the video and advice, there's never nothing wrong with saving money. besides, that's some left over funds to be used elsewhere. Thanks again
Andy T.
see thats what Im saying man!!
I have that exact same intake manifold on my 2018 ram 2500 and my 2010 ram 2500 and hands down I think it's one of the best intake men on the market especially for the price. I've never had any issues with either of them and to be honest it's the best bang for your buck. And if you don't like the way it looks you can always powder coat it.
facts man!! preach!!
Ok so I looked up this part. It’s over a $100 but also it doesn’t say if it fits a 2014. So will this work on my 2014?
I was going to run the same in my dually 2021 3500 HO but I ended up doing the banks instead and had a custom injector line made for the clearance. It’s AMAZING👌🏾
Right on!!
I've been having this same one for 3 years with no issues I have it on a 08 megacab and a 16 crewcab
they do work bro!
Thanks brother been waiting for this exact mod surprised you didn’t do the heater grid delete condolences on the snap on tool box turtle wax is awesome for a glossy shine
i got something planned for the grid heater in the future!!
I found that 3-4 years ago just needed some welds cleaned up inside but its very nice for the Price
Same intake on my 6.7 it works great
hell yeah!
Thanks for the information keep up the good work
will do man!
Ty bro for the best, budgeting mods on utube!!!
no problem bro!! keeping it real!!
Hell ya man just the video I needed was wondering how well these fit and if they have the ports for the sensor much appreciated just ordered the same one!
yessuh and no problem!!
Mod according to budget great videos. I personally just bought the bank 4.0 and had to buy boost tubes because OEM wouldn’t match up.
nothing wrong with running the banks tube at all, its a excellent intake manifold
Win for the regular dudes! 🏆
Keep it coming.
absolutely!!!
Literally paused the video after you said the price and bought one should be here in a few weeks thanks for the tip! Saving money and performance boost is a win win. No controversy there. Love the channel keep it up man!
haha thats awesome man!! and i had no issues with mine! good buy!
Man I was blocked from a Facebook group called “Everything 6.7 cummins!!” for posting “cheap” parts I had purchased to put on my truck 😂 had hundreds of likes on the posts too!
Looking forward to seeing what color you powder coat your engine bay, currently trying to figure out which color I’m going to do as well lol
color reveal will be coming soon!
U are right if u have no need for pre heat
We ran the same one and it is a good intake for the $$$ we ended up switching to a full glacier setup with the inline grid heater
Thats a good setup too!
@@EVERYTHANGDIESEL still running hard we threw a titan xl tank on with all that we see 800+ miles between fill ups lol
I have the same intake and love it! The only thing I wish was different about it is the the angle for the boost boot. It doesn't sit strait and it bothers me. Lol
i agree man, on my 3rd gen i was able to get it straight but on the 4th gen the stock cold pipe doesnt want to cooperate lol
Yes sir! Definitely the best Intake for the price 👍🏻
100% i agree
hey man! thanks for all your helpful 6.7 ram content! i just purchased a 2015 6.7 and i have an EGR delete kit on the way and want to know if doing mods such as removing the EGR and replacing the intake such as this video, is it preferable to have removed and disabled the dfp def system or that doesn't matter?
Good stuff brother.. I absolutely agree.
At $0.19 per CFM gained versus the Banks $0.95 per CFM gained, I would agree that this is a great overall value. Great video. Always happy to see the UM flag.
For little stuff like this...
Made in USA>Value, to me anyways. 🤪
facts man and GO CANES!!
@@EVERYTHANGDIESEL Will factory boot reach with butterfly aka throttle valve removed to this intake.?
Yes it will
🔥🔥🔥🔥 killing it like always man
thank u brudah!!
@@EVERYTHANGDIESEL 🙏🙏
Banks is the best diesel products out there. All the engineering they do.
Nice intake mod, bent feeler gauge is for the Xotic head studs your going to install so you can reset exhaust and intake valve clearance
yessuh!!!
@@EVERYTHANGDIESEL I am looking at head studs. I see they make 2 different types. What studs you planning on running
Love your vids Brotha 👍🏼👍🏼 That intake isn’t dented though , it comes like that to clear fuel line . I’m was thinking about changing mine out to a dual . Banks is way to high lol.
I do like the new truck 👍🏼👍🏼 same setup on tint as I have on my 2012 mega cab g56 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Yea they dent it so it can clear the #1 injector line. It dont bother me none though. Haha
Bent feeler gauge is normally for valves adjustment
Nice bro head studs coming next? Just keeping things rolling Cam looking forward to that video...i agree with the intake horn in fact i guess im bias cause i have the same one on my 3rd gen & i choose it because of you and your old video like 4 years ago i appreciate you for that! Now i am wondering if your going to do a grid heater delete on this big girl???
appreciate it man!! and studs are coming soon too man!!
grid heater as well!!
Hey, awesome videos! Do you have one that you talk about the Xotic head studs?
Yeah good work buddy, I can see the Sut in my right now. I gotta do something about that soon I’m a eBay guy And so you don’t have to convince me very much, keep out keep up the good work
lmao great minds brother haha
i got this intek on my 13 6.7 for 4 years cheap and good np at all
This May help for people in cold areas Part #: NED AIH101 air heater Nappa $65.49 and a machine shop can install a female thread for you. Works well if you do the grid heater delete. Weld it where the two intake openings meet into a one.
SO THE FACTORY GRID HEATER CONECTION FITS ONTO THIS NAPA PART NUMBER?
@@farva75089 the electronic connection is just a bolt on eye so yes. You do need to have a fitting welded on to a pusher type intake horn. The heater will connect to that, bolt oem wire to heater. Let your machine shop know to keep the flat connection that bolts on to the plentun cool so it doesn't warp when welding is done.
@bobbennett790 I had the same idea and part number I seen that banks used it
Ordering mine next week
you'll like it bro!
Bro loving that shirt my guy
I have a 2008 6.7 1 ton and it's my first experience with these pick up diesels and hi po aftermarket parts . I own a detroit 3 cyl turbo in my backhoe and a diesel kabota . I am not aquainted with all these aftermarket parts , but ; the one thing that has always concerned me about modifying my diesels in any way is the way these things produce vibration and shake in a way that gasoline engines never see . I have built and drag raced gas engines and those things can't be compared to modifying a diesel engine when you are dealing with that vibration !!! What I want to express here regarding your intake horn is that even though the construction looks very good on this product , I would be very concerned about running anything on a diesel engine that was welded together like your intake . My concerns may be unfounded , but ; being a welder , I have seen the long term effects that vibration has on welded parts on industrial machinery and an intake manifold being welded together and bolted directly to one of these vibration machines just doesn't strike me as a long term , happy situation !! I would like to know if one of these could take 80 or 100,00 miles on one of these engines without the welds cracking ??!!
With the transmission shifting fast run it with the tow haul on.
Bent feeler gauge is used for
Valve adjustment
Now ever think of using a torque wrench to adjust the valves?
I have do this when ever I adjust valves because doing this will assure that all valves are the same.
yessir and no i havent. good idea tho!
Whoo whoo go eBay parts lol “if it sits it fits”
Trucks coming along well looking forward to next video
After watching this you helped me decide which manifold to go with and I am sooo impressed with the power difference. Did you get a electronic throttle code? How do I make that go away permanently?
No worries man, and I never got a electronic throttle code. Unless your truck is not deleted. If it is ,your tuner needs to disable the throttle valve
My Man…I may have to check this out. We on the same page. Value upgrades. 👊🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸👊🏼
yessuh!! absolutely bro!
Enjoy the video's, keep posting
Bro you hit the nail on the head!! Don't want the wife to trip about how much I spend on the truck. Lol I was looking at the Pusher intake I'm glad you did this video on this one I will gladly get this over the rest. My only concern is do you think it will still align with the boost tube in my 5th gen? I think it will. Dope video!!
Wouldn't it be great if you could just call the manufacturer/customer support and ask them.
@@GMCJay_lly you can send them an email i did?
yes it will!! boost tubes can flex a little for fitment!!
Already ordered it!! Got the tunes the intake next it the 2nd gen swap for me!!
Thanks for the information.
Np
“Choke Point”. Using Infantry terminology to describe vehicle parts. Love it. 😂 Great work. Save your money when you can.
lmaooo ayeeee
Hey man , just looking for some insite on my options for and intake horn with a grid heater delete but still remaining the grid heater could I weld a bung to the pusher and use the universal grid heater on one side of the intake what are your thoughts ?
I just put this intake and grid heater delete on my 4th gen and all the bolts are tight but sounds like it blows boost out somewhere on driver side when I get up around 24lbs of boost? Any advice on what to check? Thanks
EFI live question, I have a custom tune efi live and have the CSP5 switch 15 Ram 2500 . I w owned this truck since 2017 , was tuned a year ago has been great I keep it under tune 3. Question is when switching from tunes on the fly does the trans needs a relearn or time to relearn etc ? I’ve read conflicting things over the years on forums , what’s your take on it ?
Do you need pipe dope on the hardware holing the horn to the block. Do the bolt holes go all the way through and leak if not.?
Great job.
ThT intake looks good. But I know of a 5.9 06 truck mad 1540 hp on dyno with stock intake horn 😂😳 just saying. Love the channel bro 👍
hell yeah man!!
It’s about proven performance and Gail Banks is the Boss you should have got the Ram air bank’s air horn! Pay for what you get. The dent affects the air flow flowing into the cylinder head. Witch is why I put Banks Ram air intake horn 3.5 on my 4th gen Cummins. But you are right you spend your money on what you can afford. With that said I don’t cut corners on my truck. I want what’s best for performance so I go with Banks!
i don;t cut corners either, banks products arent end all be all. but to each is own.
New to the channel, just wondering when looking for a used 6.7 Cummins what are some things I should look for and how much did you throw for this beauty?
I got a video for things to look for on the 6.7 cummins. Imma be releasing a new one soon!
Hell Yeah Brother
Would this work with the banks grid heater to get rid of that death bolt?
I went with Banks, but you are correct that is a very good price $70? Especially if you're just making improvements and not building a race truck.
Have the same intake and want to do the heater grid delete on my 2007.5. Do you think a heater intake coil could be installed with a 22mm bung and a location?
Good video,I'm going with Banks because I'm in California and near his shop so parts and tech service is nearby, plus it's a 50 state application. Unfortunately commiefornia has so many laws on emissions.
What bolt did you use in the center where you needed a wrench?? The factory one seems like it would be too long to me
So after looking around all the people who make these say the crease / dent is for clearance of dipstick which doesn’t come anywhere close to the intake. Thinking about getting one I just don’t care for the dent which messes up air flow by causing a roll in the air movement. Also talking the heater plate off because it only good for real cold weather. (Any increase in air flow is a good increase regardless of how much HP is gained)
It doesn't mess with the dipstick maybe if u have a asin trans but in a 68rfe it's on the passenger side. Unless u running a super high hp application that dent will not even be noticed in performance plus u can't even really see it once installed
Bent feeler gauge is for valve adjustment
Hey good affordable parts are awesome should be more of um. Ordered the part 5 min into the vid 😂. I do think that dent is on all pushers for the injectors 🤷🏽🤷🏽. Could be wrong
I live in a colder climate so need the heater grid, will the grid negate the increase in flow?
The largest impediment to airflow is the grid heater. I would have ditched that too.
I live in the north east, if I delete my grid heater I don’t think I’ll be able to plug my truck in during winter time. Correct?
@braytonwillerval3942 You can still use your block heater after deleting the grid heater. I plug mine in if it gets below zero and I have to leave it outside overnight.
Any issues with it sucking the MAP sensor o- ring? 6 months installed and 4 O-rings later.
Valve adjustment incoming! Guessing studs are going in too? Might motivate me to finally throw mine in. (Bought them over a year ago...)
Easy job bro. Personally I got 625. Torque it once and done. No go back and retorque. But they are a chunk more. 40k dollar truck or 1100 bucks to keep my headgasket in check. I would def give yourself a full 2 days. Just take your time and be patient and slow! Also do them ONE at a time and in the correct order. If not you will severely fuck up!! Just saying
@@slickRG_17 I also picked up the 625 for the same reason, one and done. I just haven't committed to whether I'm going .01/.02 or .01/.026. Also, since my trans is still stock and bruised (trans cooler line popped off on the highway), I didn't want to be tempted to bump up the tune after the studs and ruin it completely.
easy job and slap em in man!! give your self one day on the weekend!
What about the bust tube/sensor that screws into the elbow I can't seem to find a spot for it
How did you fix the stripped threads in the intake manifold
Not gonna lie,. I really like this guy Cummins content.
appreciate it brother thank you!
same intake=27-33mpgs on freeway 👍 2015 Ram 2500 4x4 4door deleted & camper shell+6 speed stick🍍🤞🤙$7 diesel
What other mods you have on it? Thats impressive mpg
Did the intake horn have a sight bend at the bottom?
I have bought abs returned 3 of those things lol none of them are flat on where they mount to the plenum and it results in a boost leak with my boost leak tester. finally got annoyed and went to buy a smeding one that should be day and night!
Got a question, I have a partially deleted 17 and it has been tuned, but what I want to know is if I install this do I need to get it retuned? Awesome videos brother keep up the good work.
no retune is needed for this
Did you do the grid heater delete on this truck too?
