I did this to a 2011 (since it has been totaled). It took me longer to put the intake manifold/egr delete. Was involved in the installment than I thought.
Just did the bank’s inter cooler and tubes, man you weren’t kidding that vasiline saved the day. Did the intercooler by myself that’s a work out getting the intercooler bracket bolts started why you hold the intercooler up in place. Thanks again great videos 🙏
I bought the monster elbow and both pipes kit along with the banks ram intake and the banks Automind2 programmer before I ever even drove my 06’ 5.9l that I had a engine built for! I bout the whole kit before I even had the engine ordered let alone installed! Now all powdered coated matte black but the smeding compound kit took out the intake!
Damn it Camron, this the shit I love about UA-cam. 10 months ago I wasn’t thinking about this mod. Now I am, and lo and behold your video comes up. 10 years from now this info will still be great information. Happy Thanksgiving bro! 👊🏼
Just finished watching the install of the pipes and appreciated your comments and subscribed to the channel! 👍 My truck is basically a twin of yours (mine is a '15 Megacab... not sure if yours is). Even same color combo, but mine is a two tone with silver, not the beige color. It's not a Longhorn, just the regular Laramie, but mine has the Aisin trans and the rear air auto leveling which is fantastic! I have the Banks intercooler with the tubes sitting in the garage, as well as the Monster Hi Ram intake and heater grid delete kit. Also have the Banks Pedal Monster kit too... I may do the intercooler and tubes myself, but I will NOT be doing the Monster intake install...I watched the Banks video of the install (EXCELLENT) and it's way too complicated for my comfort zone and skills! Where did you get that upper radiator "hose"? What kind of intake is that? Gotta leave my exhaust pretty much stock (NOT deleted) here in Commiefornia. Plus I like it quiet for those looong trips towing my 5th wheel.
Couldnt do this install myself so i took it to a diesel shop that specializes in upgrades. They said it was the biggest pain in their butt install. The turbo sounds good AF thoo! Worth it!
Brother you just saved my life, man I was killing my self until I watched your video and your advise about using Vaseline and pushing the boots all the way in, thank you man I owe you a bear or a few.
Yes definitely pull your fender liners and tires that will help a lot. And no you won't see them , there pretty tucked away , I recently just did the banks intercooler for my 16 2500 and yeah that's not a fun job .let's just say I will never do that again . The banks one is way bigger. It definitely was a nice upgrade though the stock one is very light and cheap. Stock intercooler is definitely undersized. Good buy , awesome content 👌
I need to do this big time, because I have a 05 3500 5.9 and I think they did this one year in inter cooler with plastic end tanks and if do a tune for more power it will blow the tanks . Why did you go with Mishimoto intercooler instead of Banks or somebody else’s intercooler ?
I think when I do mine. I am going to try to wrap them in kitchen plastic wrap. Maybe that will protect them, until they are completely installed. Thanks for posting!
Save the wrap bro it won't haha. They actually didn't get scratched bad installing tbh. But once your done and installed you won't even see them. Tbh I would just do raw uncoated pipes.
Great content and Thankyou. Next weekend im starting the Banks intercooler, boost tubes and intake elbow on my stock 2014. Should be good times. Thanks again.
Good video great idea to include on the Vaseline I agree with what you said I use it on all hoses I plan on replacing the inter cooler and tubes with Banks kit instead of just tubes for my 2017 6.7 Cummins.
Do u happen to have a part number for the intercooler alone? And couplers? I already did the boost tubes on my 2018. Just can’t find the intercooler separate
Does the Vaseline have to be Cocoa Butter or can it be regular? Just messin' with ya. Great video BTW... well be going off your tips. Thanks! Also noticed that road you're on... Miramar near the military base. Hope to see you around!
Bro, you're in Cali-commi-fornia land, right?? Are they gonna start inspecting for compliance out there? I'm considering deleting my 2019 3500 5th gen and am a little worried about it. But I"m in Texas!
Can you still change your oil from the bottom? Or do you have to take it off from the top now? Was watching the Banks install video and it says has to be taken off from the top after installation
BRO!! i love your videos and I value your opinion more than you know! I trust your videos and input so much! I do have a question! I’ve seen people remove or reroute the EGR/coolant hose and bracket that comes with the EGR kits ( just to clean the engine bay up) and was wondering what YOUR thoughts on this was on it?
True you can make 1500hp with the stock horn but with more fuel and more boost. With the banks horn you can achieve 1500hp with less fuel and boost. I put a 3.0L supercharger on my 5.7 and because of all of the supporting mods airflow was way superior than some other people build. They were at 7 lb of boost 700 horsepower and I'm making 700 horsepower with 5 lb of boost. More air less boost less fuel.
I have that same setup on on my 4th gen but with a CSF intercooler definitely woke it up and made the turbo sound louder I am running a WC Fab air intake
How long has your csf intercooler been installed? I'm wondering how it performs and if it has more volume than stock. I noticed mishimoto intercoolers are the same price as banks now.
@@kadint4696 it’s a little bigger than stock and I’ve had it on for about a year now takes a little longer to spool up but the power increase is definitely noticeable I am also running a banks monster ram intake horn
Did you have trouble getting the oil filter out the wheel well like you would do with stock boost tubes? I did the boost tubes on my 17 ram and now it seems like the only way to change the oil filter is to remove the intake or boost tube. Curious if you encountered the same thing or if I possibly screwed something up on my install.
Great little vid Camron !!! Hey ? for you !!! Are you still running the peddle monster ?? If not why ?? And if you are what's your take on it after you have ran it for a bit !!!
I put a set on my 07.5 6.7 along with the Monster Ram Intake. I was fortunate that I could put the Boost Tubes in through the top. Yours looks like a pain in the you know what, you did a good job. I like your videos, they've helped me with a few mods I've done. Head Studs are next this coming summer when the weather gets better, I'm thinking of doing the PPE Dual CP3 next along with the head studs. Keep up the videos.
All those are good mods! Yea doing head studs in the cold aint it I've done it before haha I got xotic Head Studs on my truck and love them! No issues and excellent price. Yea if I was replacing the manifold I would've just came from the top haha it was super bad tho
Thanks for all your content, brother! I have a 2015 2500 Laramie Longhorn. Have you thought about adding a coolant bypass for the rear thermostat? What's your thoughts?
Yeah my tubes are popping off with the vaseline maybe I out too much but getting it out is a bitch. And that rubber tubing on the passenger side down at the inner cooler os really short it’s the one that keeps pooping
Great Videos Dude!! I’ve got 2012 6 speed 4x4 bought it new and starting to do some mods, the fuel rail plus.. that’s a must in ur book ? No problem with that?
Tbh unless u running higher than stock rail pressure it's not required. The stock rail plug is 24k psi when it opens. If u getting low rail pressure codes then a rail plug will help
Naw im not. U not throwing a glob in your intercooler lmao. Just layer on the ends haha it's not that serious, the Vaseline is melted off after the first drive too.
Never use any lubricant when putting pipes into boots , Banks does a video on how to install, they clearly state this , but go ahead if you want them to blow off!
A lot of these upgrades are only useful if you're making tons of power above stock the stock ram air box is good to 500hp and I'm going to guess that the stock tubes with the dent work fine for stock and mold upgrades and that you will see nothing from the install . You were fine with that dented pusher intake on the 08 but can't live with the factory dented tube that no one can see when everyone could see the dented intake ???
David Freiburger of Hot Rod magazine did test on headers which proved that dents on pipes don't effect efficiency of air flow, but larger pipes reduce back pressure which allows more air flow.

For close to 500 bucks what little gain you might get and the difficulty involved, it’s not worth it! Banks is ripping people off for simply bending some tubing and giving you two couplers. Just my outlook though.
this was hands down the most aggravating install i had on my truck i swear. ive had them on for 4 years now and dread taking them off to inspect.
I did this to a 2011 (since it has been totaled). It took me longer to put the intake manifold/egr delete. Was involved in the installment than I thought.

Did the intercooler by myself that’s a work out getting the intercooler bracket bolts started why you hold the intercooler up in place.
Thanks again great videos 🙏
Did you see a real performance from doing the intercooler upgrade? I was gonna do the pipes and intercooler but then thought of doing just the pipes.
Definitely is tricky holding the intercooler up haha and it's bigger too so yeah. Intercooler is definitely a good upgrade with the boost pipes
Yeah that thing is heavy...mine is still in the box, just arrived a couple days ago!
I bought the monster elbow and both pipes kit along with the banks ram intake and the banks Automind2 programmer before I ever even drove my 06’ 5.9l that I had a engine built for! Haha it ain't easy lol it definitely sucks
Are you going to swap the Banks Monster Ram Intake Horn with the grid heater delete for the existing one? Also, is that a shot of you leaving Miramar?
Use a heat gun on the old couplers to get them off... after 3 hours of prying and pulling, took 3 minutes with the heat gun
It’s really to bad that banks can’t make those silcone boots a couple inches longer.
The install would have gone much smoother .

Have you noticed a difference in egts? I had just ordered pushers right before watching your vid.
Good job! The vaseline trick is a must. Have yo noticed any extra MPG's?
I have them on my 18 ram and to get the oil filter out you will need to pull out your air box out ever time now
The oil filter comes out the fender, the tubes don't change that
You can always install an oil filter relocation kits.
They look nice! Do you need to drain the coolant or anything like that to install those?
This is a kick ass video. This will be my first mod on my 2017 6.7L cummins . Thank you

If boost tube comes off the turbo (Hot Side) How does Ram Air Tie in with it?
Is it better to do all these mods such as the tubes, monster ram intake, cold air intake, air diff cover before or after deleting your truck. Thanks
After. Deleting first keeps
U from having to reinstall the EGR components because they will all be unplugged.
Can I have a link to the video where you did the intercooler and pipes on your 3rd gen?
Im 15 seconds in and i already love this video haha
I think Josh over at Horsetorques Diesel (WOT motorsports) makes 1500+ hp with stock intake horn.
Definitely can be done. People don't know the stock head can only take so much air in
True you can make 1500hp with the stock horn but with more fuel and more boost. With the banks horn you can achieve 1500hp with less fuel and boost.
