Once everything was finished and double checked I did have a clamp on the new intercooler tubes that I installed also so I had a boost leak. Got home cause I noticed that the boost on my I-DASH Gauge would only go to about 9psi got home and found the T Clamp on the tube that attaches to the Turbo was off, so put it back on and tightened everything down and took a ride. At a steady 55mph, on cruise control. A previous test run yielded 13.1 mpg with the trailer. The same test loop, with just the truck got 27mpg. The trailer is towed empty. It is all aerodynamic drag.
Two things 1: I'd love to see a BONE STOCK truck with a baseline Dyno, and then a Dyno test with just the monster ram, then a Dyno with just the intercooler, then just the big filter... Then dynos as things are combined.. that way we can see what each individual part improves, and the. The compounding effect of combining the upgrades. 2: have you ever pointed a FLIR at that intercooler while doing a dyno run?? I'm really curious what the thermal image shows.
I just installed this #1 because of the grid heater bolt. I was very skeptical of anything else because of all the negative comments on the internet. But I will say there is definitely an improvement in MPGs getting around 2 more miles a gallon and there is some noticeable performance. Granted my truck is deleted and a mild tune. 27 mpg ??? Really
Two things
1: I'd love to see a BONE STOCK truck with a baseline Dyno, and then a Dyno test with just the monster ram, then a Dyno with just the intercooler, then just the big filter... Then dynos as things are combined.. that way we can see what each individual part improves, and the. The compounding effect of combining the upgrades.
2: have you ever pointed a FLIR at that intercooler while doing a dyno run?? I'm really curious what the thermal image shows.
I love his attitude! "Can I kick my own ass" 😂 awesome video! Ordering mine!
And it looks awesome.
And this is with a manual transmission 2010
I am going to put this on all my customers lists :)
God damn I love these informational videos, my favorite videos on UA-cam by far
Hey now! No need to be using God's name in vain. God has been using Gale Banks to engineer/make awesome stuff to make engines more efficient for years
I love the innovation of Banks congrats Gale and all the team.
I really appreciate all the development you put into your products! Do you know of any companies that put this much research into VW diesel engines ? I already have the monster exhaust, but im going full 3 inch and have to make it myself . I wanna make sure I get good properly engineering in my parts.
Ordered mine today… mostly to eliminate the dreaded heater bolt failure issue.
60 years ago??? Dude how old is he. This man is a living legend
79 years young.
1:30 Have you tested an engine where a TVS or twin screw supercharger is feeding the turbo? That makes more sense in my mind.
i always love listening to Gale, hes a great man!!!
Diesel Data ASMR 😄
Brilliant! The man's got me wanting to go buy one and I don't even drive a diesel lmao
Genius at work,
Thank him
Gale hits another home run out of the park with his manifold air density device! Great work Banks Engineering! Now how about making a product like that for the 5..9 CR owners?
We already do, two as a matter of fact.

Now that is one hell of a flower. Love it. Nice job banks!
What an amazing guy..The best to ever do it...
The best elbows I've ever seen are on my arms!
😂😂
Gale Banks, I dub thee... The Duke of Diesel ..... long may he reign!
Every time I watch one of these videos I think the same thing...he scienced the shit out of this.
I wish banks had more than the pedal monster for my 15 ram 5.7l. He does wonders with everything he touches!
Old School still schooling Sit down class! Banks is a Einstein of engine building
This man is a living legend.
Cool work making performance parts for a living!
Yes Sir! this is why i buy Banks over the competition!
Gale, your science and testing is why I choose your products every time. Cold air with super scoop and exhaust brake on so far; Monster ram, ecomind and inter cooler pack to come on my 07 5.9 Cummins.
Speaking of testing… what’s up with killing that Duramax? Been itching harder than a crack addict for the next mod and test video.
I just ordered one for my stock 2016 Ram 3500 with over 413,000 miles. Still runs great too so this was great info. I guess it'll run even greater
69k miles a year...wow crazy...here i just bought a 07 6.7 with 409K miles...Thought that was a lot....Fun times
lol good god
Gale Freaking Banks😲😲😲😳😳😳WOW, what a Man...What an Engineer!!!
A master explainer 🙏👌🏾💪🏾
Well, this just sold me. I will be getting one next week.
Ok I put it on my truck with there heater mod. 2011 ram. h&s tuner. Did it help. I mean i feel like I got some better mid range power. Fuel milage maybe 1 mpg better. Worth the money I don't know. Looks cool.
I want to see each on the flow bench, and the flow bench providing the reading, not a post test graph.
"5 whys" from Gale Banks again! Power in knowledge.
That's an awesome group of products. Definitely would like to see dyno figures. Now can we get some Duramax upgrades please!
It‘s such a pitty that those engines aren’t really availiable in Europe, I‘d love to buy those products from you!
All these years of intake horn videos all over. But yet i have never seen any of them backed up on a wheel dyno all together and under same conditions. Why? Or have the cylinder head on the flow bench and flow the intake valves with all of the options of horns.
