Thanks for giving us such as informative video about Wise :) I have a question regarding the conversion from malaysia ringgit to foreign currency - is it a must to convert to the foreign currency's wallet before spending? is there any difference from spending directly from the malaysia ringgit wallet when in overseas?

Wise rocks, Suyin! I particularly love how you can create multiple digital cards to use when making online transactions so, in the event one gets compromised, you can just burn it and create a new one.
I'm planning to spend a prolonged amount of time outside Malaysia soon, and I can't wait to see how Wise holds up to extensive overseas use.

For ATM withdrawal, May I know how to set the card pin number, if I am applying the card online?
thanks for the informative video. Question: are you able to transfer back to your original funding source? For example, I plan to visit Thailand this October. If I transfer, for example, $1000 to Thai account in wise....but then found out that I only spent about $800 worth of Thai funds...am I able to transfer back that $2000 to US dollars (or my original bank source)? OR is that just another conversion basically - converting from Baht to USD? Thanks!

Hi Suyin, I use Maybank too. Would I be able to top up my wise account while I'm overseas for example Thailand? I'm afraid Maybank/Wise would send me codes to my sms to approve the transaction which I won't be able to access and therefore not be able to top up. I can't seem to find this info anywhere :(
When sending and receiving money on wise, does your personal information like your full name gets revealed to the sender/receiver or just the email address?
Can you Wise card in Korea? Restaurants, shopping areas & convenience stores in Seoul accept? How much KRW can withdraw from Korea ATM without fees?
Was wondering can u use wize like tng? Example if i go to taiwan and just show code and they scan and pay?
Doesn't work in Vietnam..... And they don't offer exchange in new Taiwan dollars so for this reason it was useless to me. Was able to use in Philippines though.

Hi. If I got bunch of foreign currencies right now, says JPY, THB, or USD, in cash. How could I deposit them into my Wise account at the minimal losses?
I dont think you can deposit cash. So you have to convert first.
Hi Suyin & all existing users, i just receuived my card, plan to use in hungary, Czech & Austria soon. I have MYR & HUF in my wise account at the moment, so far success retrieve cash from RHB atm, but still failed to pay in 7-eleven with the card debit function. Any idea? Quite worry i cant use the debit card in Hungary later too.
Just curious why wise card cannot use in local malaysia 7-11? Is it a debit card?
sooo.... if i'm travelling to swiss and i open a swiss franc acc in wise and put my money there, do i have to ~transfer~ the money (franc) into my physical card or i can just use the card right away to pay?
You can use the card straight away and they’ll deduct from the right currency account :)
Hi, just got confused here, u said you withdrew money from CIMB ATM meaning in Malaysia’s ATM? And you get Rupiah from that ATM?
I was in Lombok and I withdrew from the ATM there :) on Wise I had a Indonesian Rupiah Wallet
If I convert to local currency than can I pay online, in shops and restaurants abroad without additional fees? Are there limits to these transactions?
That’s right! Conversion on the app is when a fee is charged. But once you have the local currency, you are free to spend it with no further charges! Limits is the amount you can hold inside, rm30k i think

Hi Suyin, there is a question I would like to ask. If I top up MYR in my Wise account, am I able to withdraw cash from any ATM machine in Malaysia? We usually key in 6-digit PIN but Wise PIN is only 4-digit. Shall I just key in 4-digit Wise PIN and enter? Or should I key in the 4-digit PIN follow by 00 after the PIN? My physical Wise card was swallowed by CIMB ATM due to wrong PIN. I appreciate if anyone can answer this question T_T
I havent witdrawn any cash yet, but to check balance I just input the 4 digit pin followed by "enter"

Wise locks accounts with no reason explanation. Sooner rather than later you'll get ripped and left with no money for living. I have a very bad experience of using wise.

I have had instances using wise where they request for email details too, should be alright, i believe it’s just for notifying the person and does not necessarily need to be your main email
