That fee is not a 3rd party bank fee it is a foreign accounts fee - applied to all such transaction. You are warned up front on the ATM screen before you complete the transaction. So, if you went ahead it’s on you not Wise …

Good, easy to understand video, thumbs up! Today I wanted to send my daughter who lives in Thailand some Christmas money. My Sparkasse wanted 35 € for sending 100 €! That's the fee of both banks and currency exchange. If I use WISE, does she need to have a WISE account, too? In January I'll move to Thailand and want to transfer my savings from my Sparkasse to a Thai bank. Again, it'll cost me almost 100 € for transferring 50.000 € from bank to bank. So I wonder if there's a cheaper way and came across WISE. But once I am in Thailand I will open a Thai account and use my Thai ATM/debit card, so is it a good idea to sign on to WISE? What's the best way to do a couple of transfers from a German to a Thai bank? How much would a transfer of 50.000 € cost me with WISE? I'd appreciate it if you'd take the time to answer. :)
Hello! Yes you can send from wise to a Thai bank account directly, the recipient doesn’t have to sign up for wise. They just gotta give you the banks details. Fee wise I’m not so sure, it rly depends on when you do it. Give it a try!
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia I gave it a try. Checked out their website without opening an account. Scrolled down where you can fill in amounts and currencies. WARNING⚠️WARNING please be careful with wise !! It's not the same wise that it used to be .when I tried to raise a complaint they put you on hold for long time, cut or block your calls to wise , don't reply to your emails on a complaint !! If you have or are going through this like I am please keep a record copy , date and time log , name of the person and file it with the banking onwardsmen and also seek compensation for your grief !! They seem to understand this way !!
They took my $500. They said I was fraudulent which I am not. I am a quadriplegic trying to make a living off Etsy and Etsy required a wise account or something with 3-D secure and they suggested it. I put $500 into the account so etsy could verify my credentials then I woke up this morning Wise shut down my account and kept my money. Do not trust this company.
You are right as I am experiencing the same. The company is horrible. They are also hiding comments and blocking people on Facebook and Social media and never resolve anything by email support. Its shocking
Thank you for this- Only one slight correction regarding account deactivation. WISE isn't a bank, it doesn't 'take' your money in the first place... If your account is deactivated the money is 'bounces back' or 'returned' to the last place it came from. If the money came from YOUR other account - great...it'll be in that account.
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia Your welcome -and the other thing is all transactions have a transaction number, so always use the transaction number and 'missing' monetary sum , if you ever need to chase or complain 😉 Complaining is good - because you can ask for compensation for the time and emotional distress.
Service levels are a major problem internationally. I opened a Wise account, but have no card; they are not available in South Africa (yet). So the Wise experience has been a little disappointing for me thus far.

Did you managed to know what else can it be done regarding this small issue? I've read most of the FAQ anyway.
Haven’t had any luck either 😅 sometimes in Thailand both methods don’t work, so it does have its drawbacks in certain countries
Have no way of getting your money back is a scare. Seems like this card is only good for with drawing money if it is too much hassle going to a money changer
if you were seeing fraudulant transactions why didn't you freeze the card immediately?
I did. They all happened within minutes and I froze it as soon as I realized.
Great video! i use wise because of this video and it’s been smooth sailing for my overseas travels
Awesome to hear! We use it everytime we travel too
Wise is the best
Why is this guy doesn't have any new video anymore?
Bro, I wanna use it to receive payments.
The thing is Wise Business Account isn't available in my country. Can I use Personal Account to receive money and get it in my Bank account?
I am doing a service, lets say I'm a freelancer and I wanna reveive my payment so can I use personal account for that and after receiving it can I get it in my countrys bank account?
Yes you can use a personal account to receive money
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia I'm a freelancer and I guess as a freelancer I should use business account. And there are lots of people experiencing ban after using personal account for business transactions. So, i am worried.
The client told me to send an invoice and after I send invoice and receive money. There won't be any problem?
@@UA-camContenttt I havent had any problem with it
Can I ask something about that,if u give ur password is that possible using other.
Good presentation. Wise wanting to know WHY you are sending money is simply NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS. On those grounds they won't be getting my business. The money laundering excuse is always BS.
any cashback for spending with their card?
Nope, works like a debit card haha
Credit card will give us extra cashback or more points when we spend in overseas.can that really cover those charges by bank.
Depends what bank you use and what currency you're spending in@@ongtengkee9225
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia will you review enrich debit card for spending overseas?I am thinking that maybe 20 rm spending with this card can only get one cent value but not even ten cents. They avoid my question about the value of those points.
Honestly I don’t think it’s much haha. Let us check it out though to see if it’s content worthy 😅
Whats the difference between personal and business account in term of amount cut or fee rate such when you receive or sending money? also are you choose your account as personal or business?
Also i have used paypal and it disappointing
Not sure, we’ve only tried personal unfortunately 😅 yeah wise is a lot better than PayPal from our experience
can you buy a car with the wise card?
Not that we’re aware of 😅
WARNING⚠️WARNING please be careful with wise !!
Sorry to hear, hope you get it sorted 🙏
They took my $500. They said I was fraudulent which I am not. I am a quadriplegic trying to make a living off Etsy and Etsy required a wise account or something with 3-D secure and they suggested it. I put $500 into the account so etsy could verify my credentials then I woke up this morning Wise shut down my account and kept my money. Do not trust this company.
What happened?
You are right as I am experiencing the same. The company is horrible. They are also hiding comments and blocking people on Facebook and Social media and never resolve anything by email support. Its shocking
Blah blah blah stop promoting such a horrible company
Gurmeet SINGH Romanian GOOG HAPPY ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank your for this very informative video
Thank you for this- Only one slight correction regarding account deactivation.
WISE isn't a bank, it doesn't 'take' your money in the first place...
If your account is deactivated the money is 'bounces back' or 'returned' to the last place it came from. If the money came from YOUR other account - great...it'll be in that account.
Thanks for sharing this!
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia Your welcome -and the other thing is all transactions have a transaction number, so always use the transaction number and 'missing' monetary sum , if you ever need to chase or complain 😉
Complaining is good - because you can ask for compensation for the time and emotional distress.
How would you compare Wise with World Remit??
Never used World Remit
I am living in Malaysia and register phone and address in Malaysia. Can I transfer the fund from Australia to Malaysia? Thanks
Yep no issues! You just gotta get the AUD in your AUD account first then transfer it to MYR bank. It'll be converted to MYR tho
What is AUD account pls?
How do I create AUD account ?
@@boonkweh if you have an acc already, just open a new currency acc within the app
Service levels are a major problem internationally. I opened a Wise account, but have no card; they are not available in South Africa (yet).
So the Wise experience has been a little disappointing for me thus far.
You're so handsome
yeah, but if you have a fee-free credit card you even get 1-3 percent back.
Sure but you still gotta check the conversion fees and spread of your card
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia It's whatever is the going rate. Make sure you pay in the local currency. A no-foreign-transaction-fee card is a much cheaper way to go. I use Wise for certain things, but not for this.
I know "UA-cam Gurus" say to entice people with something to stay to the end, but it annoys the hell out of me. If your video is interesting and useful enticing is unnecessary.
Wise, so poor service. And their account verify process is terrible.
You giving us hard time, now we have to convert your currency not smart next time accommodate us
When signing up to a Wise account I forgot to use your link, now that I am trying to add your link it says smth is wrong with the link. What is you advice.
Ahh it seems like we missed the referral then. Don’t think you can ask them to add it :(
Wise is one of most horrible companies i have dealt with! Stay away
Please sir I have created wise account because of your review that I watched but it’s unfortunately that I can’t able to fund my account with $20 to get it verified which is so annoying
Can you please help me fund my wise account with $20 to get it verify and I will forward the money back to you once it’s verified sir?🙏🏽🙏🏽
It's the most protected card, if u were hacked, you're dumb
If I'm dumb, what are you?
Hi Emir, V.infomarmative VIdeo! Would you advise using WISE for hotel bookings online VS Bank debit cards? If so,would you prefer using the online card?
Depends if you’re paying in local or foreign currency. If foreign I’d go for wise and yep I’d use the virtual cafd
Used all over vietnam with no issues
