I'm a little late to the party, but I just have to add my 2 cents. I'm a diver, and I use my MRW200H when I dive. Unidirectional bezels may have been a safety feature decades ago (I'm still not convinced), but we use dive computers for all the critical stuff now. We write out our dive plan and take it down with us, and the only time I use the bezel on my watch is when I'm decompressing, and a unidirectional bezel (ie, like on my MDV106 when I go on deeper dives) can be inconvenient, especially if you have multiple decompression stops with differing decompression times. "What if your computer fails?" Then there are still analogue gauges and the written dive plan that you write down in two separate places (if you're smart). If both the dive computer and the needle gauges fail, then the dive is aborted and you start back up with your dive buddy who will probably still have functioning equipment. TLDR; Unidirectional bezels aren't as 'diver' as some/most 'divers' think.
The specs on the Casio site say "resin glass", so nope, no mineral glass... just some plastic, and I can confirm they scratch really easily, but that's not a huge problem, they can be polished, and for the price, there is really nothing to complain about!
Bought mine 15 months ago and I have worn it almost everyday. Last summer I had a total of four weeks when I wore it snorkelling everyday. Its so accurate as well keeps on bang to the second for weeks at a time. For a price of £13.99 I am well pleased.
I don't know well they will hold up over time, I haven't tested them extensively, but based on initial impressions they're a great little budget beater.
I don't know man. I had this thing for two years as a male teenager with a manual labor job, never missed a beat. The only reason I don't have it today is because I got bored and purposely destroyed it, doing things like; using a drill to slap it crystal first into a chain link fence, letting my dog chew on it, and using a hair dryer to warm it up before putting it in a ice bath. Nothing destroyed it until I cheated and took off the cover plate to "examine" the movement (rather small movement btw). Honestly unless it is defective I doubt that most people can break it on accident.
Honestly, the only people I knew at the time who would want to wear a watch already had a watch they liked that was in far better shape than mine. The crystal was so scratched it was getting hard to read and was beyond ugly, but still functional. I understand your sentiment, but at the end of the day I got two years of service and then about an hour of fun out of it. I know I have wasted $12 on worse things.
But the Invicta is now only going for $50. :) I got one last year, but even with an almost 8" wrist the bracelet can't be made small enough without knocking out a link or two. I replaced it with a NATO strap. No complaints about the watch so far.
I got the orange markings version as an impulse purchase. The orange numerals have no luminescence, but that's OK. I had no expectations of it being a true diver; it's something to wear for fun. The watch looks like it should cost much more. Added bonus, it's extremely accurate.
I'm glad you made this review! I was on the fence about getting one, but after seeing a NATO strap on one of your Casios, I'm definitely going to get mine. I'm aiming for the MRW-200H-1B2V (what some call the 'black model'). I'd prefer having numerals all around that dial face, but it'd look a bit too busy for me, what with all the fat arabics. The 1B2V I think has the best compromise, as I'm not keen on having pips/dots. This is going to be my first 'project' watch and I'll use it as my daily beater. I plan on swapping the resin band for a Zulu one. Buying this Casio + new strap would set me back about $22. Thanks again! (Update: I bought a NATO strap instead)
@@bigcams25 hi Michael, I sure did! It turned out pretty good. Springbars were a bit awkward to remove and I nearly gave up, but tried and finally got my new strap in. Was hoping to attach a picture here, but I dont think it's possible on UA-cam.
@@bigcams25 hi Michael! Glad you asked! The strap I bought cost me about $6, give or take and is comfortable enough for me. It comes with stainless steel buckles with a black PVD finish. This type of strap is definitely a lot more breathable compared to the original straps (I heard some people get rashes due to the plastic/rubber material. I had the "calculator" digital Casio previously, and after 2 years, the straps split). But, if you live in a hot, humid area and tend to sweat a lot, these straps could get dirty (and smelly) after a while. This new NATO strap is definitely an upgrade in looks and comfort, for me at least 👍🏻 Edit: due to the lockdown, I haven't been able to put it through a "normal" workday, so only time will tell if it's durable or not. @@AnonAnonAnon hi there! The strap size is 18mm. Hopefully you already have a springbar tool if you plan on changing straps by yourself. I've got the green dial version. Keeps really excellent time. Also, for that price to have water resistance to 100m is remarkable. Shower with it on absolutely no trouble. Lume isn't great, but viewable. The bi-directional bevel is a bit clunky too. But ,for value can't really fault it.

I wish it was backlit/ indiglo and it would have been perfect for me. Day Date + clear markings ( with 24 hrs) and the Rotary dial... love it!!
Casio does list the crystal as "resin" not mineral. Either way, great value watch, as always from Casio. I got the blue dial version with 12,6,9 hour markers in gold paint. Can't beat it for $20 bucks. Love it.
Thanks Rick appreciate it. It's not a bad little watch if you want something you can wear without worries. Going to the gym, the beach, the pool, fishing, whatever. Worst case scenario you replace it occasionally for another $15 watch.
Leave it to Casio to make 15$ diver watch that actually works. There are videos on YT where it is used for diving trips and works like a charm. Nice review, but unless you got some weird variation, both that I own are plastic/acrylic crystals. No biggie as they polish well if scratched. Bezel pops off and on which makes polishing easier. Great beater for $15!

It's a tight fit. Take the springbars off, lay the strap on the watch where you want it, then place the springbars back on. It's mildly annoying but doable.
Marathon tsar 799 dollars, this watch is 20 bucks. why isn't there anything in between, 12 numbers, date and a rotating bezel.. you know if a field watch and a baby with a diver
Most of them hit right on the indices which is incredible for the price. I get mine at Walmart and check a few samples to see which one is most accurate before i purchase. Best analog beater watch for the money...period.
It's a very tight fit, you won't be able to slide the strap under. What you do is put the strap exactly where you want it to be, then use your finger or something to push it against the lug. That will leave just barely enough space for you to push the spring bar in until it snaps into the holes. The strap will not budge once it's locked in, you will have to take out the spring bars to adjust it. Remember to hold the spring bars tight or it might shoot off because of the tight fit. Took me a while with the phone flash light to find mine after it snaps off.
@@oleksandrkrainiukov1085 Hey, I don't know if you still need an answer, but the diameter of the glass is around 31-32mm (I used a standard ruler, not as precise as a caliper). Hope it helps! :D

I've a great experience with this nice clock. For my surprise, in the Fox TV series 9-1-1, the character of Evan "Buck" Buckley (played by Oliver Stark) use a MRW-200H in black, with the numbers of the bezel in white, the same that you've in the video (but with a resin belt, not the OTAN strap)
Is an 18mm Nato strap the max I can go on this or can I put on 20mm? Also, would you recommend this over the Rolex Submariner diver watch? The Rolex doesnt have a day complexity.
Great watch, I love it. Buying one as we speak. BUT this should NOT be on a NATO. Only its resin belt suits it. Just looks wrong and seems wrong on a NATO.
it's cheap and it looks cheap but it works well and you won't blame yourself if u lose it i have other expensive mechanical watches like Rolex, but i am afraid to damage it so it's like a collection not a everyday watch that u can wear.
A great travel watch when you don’t want to be wearing anything too expensive due to the environment. Also good for trading in some third world places.

The strap will not budge once it's locked in, you will have to take out the spring bars to adjust it.
Remember to hold the spring bars tight or it might shoot off because of the tight fit. Took me a while with the phone flash light to find mine after it snaps off.
Just bought the black and white version for $5 at Walmart.
Hello! Thanks for the review! Can you tell me the exact diameter of the glass in this watch?
Sorry I don’t know I don’t have these watches anymore I gave them away as gifts.
Ok thanks!
@@oleksandrkrainiukov1085 Hey, I don't know if you still need an answer, but the diameter of the glass is around 31-32mm (I used a standard ruler, not as precise as a caliper). Hope it helps! :D
i got a duro and its so much nicer for 48.00, i would rather be able to get it dunked than to have to replace it because someone thought it was water resistant and found out after being pushed into the pool or lake or whatever, and compared to this it has a single direction bezel and screw down crown and compared to this watch its like comparing a timex to a seiko
it's a great parking meter timer for us non-divers (allergic to water, sharks & drowning).....
Does the day change from 12am - 4:30am on yours too
I gave these watches to my nephews, but as I remember yes they changed slowly over a few hours around midnight.
Alex Presto I have the same prob too
Where do you find this watch at 15 - 20 dollars?
Does anyone know if you could swap out the bezel for a metal one
Never looked into it myself, don't know.
Is it rugged?
I put a NATO on my kid's watch, the spring pins kept popping out.
what is NATO strap width?
18mm
will a 18mm metal bracelet fit on this watch
I couldn't say for sure. Wouldn't be had to try though.
JustBlueFish okay thanks

Casio mrw 200h vs W 219h Who is better...??? Bagus mana/pilih mana. 🙏😊
Amazon has the band listed 23mm I might have bought the wrong nato! Is it really 18mm
it is really 18mm.
Is the strap 18 mm?
Yes it is.
Is an 18mm Nato strap the max I can go on this or can I put on 20mm?
Also, would you recommend this over the Rolex Submariner diver watch? The Rolex doesnt have a day complexity.
Yes I'd recommend this over a Sub.
Great thanks!
Great watch, I love it. Buying one as we speak. BUT this should NOT be on a NATO. Only its resin belt suits it. Just looks wrong and seems wrong on a NATO.
What a difference changing the band on the Casio watches make. Goes from pretty ugly in my opinion to something I could rock as everyday carry.
the crystal is not mineral glass, it is plastic.
Yes, I have the numeric dial version and it’s a plastic glass not mineral. Perfectly fine for the price though.
How did I you change the band
The watch band is held on by spring bars, they're easy to remove with a spring bar tool. The tool is cheap, they are $10 on Amazon.com
link???
it's cheap and it looks cheap but it works well and you won't blame yourself if u lose it
i have other expensive mechanical watches like Rolex, but i am afraid to damage it so it's like a collection not a everyday watch that u can wear.
Casio the best watch in earth .
White dial is now on amazon for $47.00
Jason Allen $47?! Yikes. These should generally be $20-$25.
seconds hands are synced WTH
Luminous test 11:30
Its 100m not 200m like the casio marlin
I just measured mine...12 mm in thickness.
Don't expect to buy one of these in 2022 at less than 25 or $30 even on Amazon.
Who can snokle 300 feet?
Couldn't you just cut the extra tail off?
If japanese say diver then its diver man
Thanks for watching.
£15 well spent.
😋😋😋
Hi
A great travel watch when you don’t want to be wearing anything too expensive due to the environment. Also good for trading in some third world places.
Thanks for watching.
